Brilliant tour, loved it from start to finish. The tour is great from any sound of music lover and definitely worth the money. The tour last for 3 and half hour and was full of knowledge and scenery from the movie. Bridget, our guide, was delightful, she clearly loved the movie and had so much knowledge. She created an incredibly good vibe and got people singing. She was also helping people take photos. Couldn’t have faulted her at all! The driver alex was also very helpful!

We booked the 6 Hour private Sound of Music tour and I was most excited for this part of our trip! I had worked directly with Sarah over email months before to ensure we were booking the best experience for what I wanted for my friends and family. When the day came, our guide Phillip was amazing. Truly, we got so lucky to have him as our guide! His enthusiasm, knowledge, sheer joy and excitement really added to our experience! He took us to each spot and shared tons of details, answered all of our questions, and allowed us the extra few minutes when we requested to snap a few more pictures. He was also a wonderful photographer for us, orchestrating the scene we reenacted from the movie and ensuring we got the best video possible. Phillip also sang with us, playing the music along with the spots and scenes in the movie, truly curating a lovely experience. During our trip to Werfen to see the infamous spot for the Do Re Mi picnic scene (where we got to frolic to our hearts content), Phillip to us to a local market where he helped us select snacks and sandwich making ingredients and then MADE US LUNCH while we frolicked! This was truly an amazing touch and elevated our entire experience by 10x! We still talk about this kind and delicious part as a major highlight. The sweeping views, the detailed / curated stops and the kindness of our guide made this a 10/10 for my group. Can't recommend this experience enough!

Renalta was a wonderful host with an amazing joyfulness and excitement in sharing the facts about Sound of Music- both the true history and the movie facts. We learned a lot and the whole process was seamless!

The only suggestion i would make is to make the tour an hour longer. Our tour guide was excellent but the traffic was heavy so she had to move us along in order to complete the tour in a timely manner. So it felt a little rushed to me. And i felt it was a little stressful for our driver. I think if you extended the time by an hour it would allow for traffic issues and for longer stops. We loved the tour.

Today we had the most magical tour with the lovely Jose . He was amazing . HIs insight and knowledge of the film and the von trapp family were so enlightening. We learnt so much about the film, the locations, the cast and the original Von Trap family . The locations we visited were so picturesque and his added comments and sound tracks brought some of us to tears . An unbelievable experience. Thanks so much Jose

Perfect tour for those who love the movie. The visit to the lake regions were my favorite part. Such beautiful turquoise water and gorgeous Mountain View. Highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was very nice and did a wonderful job at explaining the history behind the Von trap family and movie. However, the day was way too rushed. We would not recommend this tour to someone else for the price because of how rushed we felt. For the private tours, Viator needs to give people the option to either be rushed through to see a lot of things or to only see a few things from the movie and have a slower time seeing them. We would’ve liked only seeing two great things and be able to take our time and then being rushed through to see multiple things from the movie. Everything was very timed even the down to the bathroom breaks that we had. The food tour operates separate from the sound of music tour. So we had to walk home even though we paid for pick up and drop off from our hotel. Thankfully, we were close to our hotel from the cooking class. Otherwise it will be difficult for those that need to get a taxi. The cooking class was fine. It’s not a private cooking class. You’re in a big group with people - if you enjoy that type of setting. We had booked a private tour so we were misguided on that. The soup served at the cooking class is delicious. That was the best thing that we ate. The strudel and other pastry is just OK but it’s definitely worth trying the local desserts. Its advertised as a four hour tour, but took us almost 6 hours because the sound of music tour is separate from the cooking class. Therefore, the cooking class took about an extra two hours on top of the four hour sound of music tour, which we were not prepared for & had no lunch between and were starved down. You cook the apple strudels then you get your lunch around 3:00 which is the delicious soup.

Sylvia was amazing! We saw everything. She took her time, showed compassion and her knowledge was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and guide. I highly recommend this tour!

It was a highlight of my trip. Our guide was Sonya and she was incredible!!!

Meeting point was a nightmare to get to and parking was around €28. Our group of 8 was crammed into a 9 passenger van with our guide. It was impossible for those in the middle to see anything. We drove through mountain roads so fast we were taking bets as to whether we would survive. Couldn’t wait to get off this tour.

Jose was our guide and he was wonderful! He was been to Vermont to meet some of the Von Trapp family and also met some at the 60th celebration. He is full of interesting information and he is a lot of fun! We did this tour 15 years ago and it was good, but Jose added an extra special touch to it. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time today! The tour was everything we hoped for, and more. Our guide, Philip, was exceptional and despite many travels, we found him to be one of the best hosts we've ever encountered. Full of knowledge, enthusiasm and a zest for joy, he made the tour for us! We shared the minivan for our 4 hour trip with a couple from Canada and a fellow Brit and we all enjoyed the singalong to Sound of Music songs! Philip also shared information about the local areas and the history of Salzburg which we were happy to learn The tour on our first day in Salzburg was lovely to see some of the city, but the lakes and surrounding mountains too. Philip and the staff at the meeting point were all fabulous. More than happy to personally recommend and the extra for the private tour is well worth it. Thanks for a great day!

What a great day we had with our guide Antonio. While we expected information about the sights, Antonio's knowledge about the making of SOM and all the locations we saw was next level. His own enthusiasm for the film and the settings really made the day special and fun. He was also a great driver, which made for a stress free tour. Highly recommend!

We booked the private Sound of Music tour that included driving in the mountains to the meadow where they filmed Do-Re-Mi. I cannot recommend this itinerary and Panorama Tours highly enough. If you’re traveling all the way to Austria, do it right and book one of these tours. Susie was our guide and she was wonderful. Exceeded expectations.

Absolutely surpassed our expectations! Our guide was so good, knew the movie frontwards and backwards! Saw all the sites that they filmed in Salzburg. Even had one of the best apple strudels ever in Mondsee, where the wedding scene took place! If you have the chance take the tour!

This was an amazing trip made enjoyable by our guide Alenka whose knowledge of both the film and the real story brought the trip to life. A tour of the memorable locations was enhanced as tales of the behind the scenes action added to the fun. It was also enjoyable to learn facts of the real story and how Hollywood chose to change things for the film.

The tour was absolutely phenomenal!! Jose our guide was super knowledgeable and very welcoming, making the tour an unforgettable experience! Panorama is also super flexible and understanding when it comes to changing dates and/or times! I highly recommend to anyone spending some time in Salzburg!

We had a fantastic tour with Evo navigating and driving and tour guide David. David really made the tour enjoyable with his enthusiasm and getting everyone to join in on the sing a long. It was amazing to get to see the locations from the film as well as finding out lots of facts anecdotes, we also had the added bonus of snowy mountains on our drive to Mondsee. All of my family thoroughly enjoyed the our trip. The trip is 4 hours but we felt it didn’t feel that long. The cost of the tour is worth it and this is a must for any Sound of Music fan.

This was excellent - Antonio collected us and was already playing the movie soundtrack, which he knew by heart. We visited every possible filming location - even more than one ‘location’ in some cases, as it was 2 combined houses that were used as the family’s home. He knew every detail! He also pointed out traditional Salzburg points of interest, a cafe, and some choice shopping. He was even able to share the differences between the film family and real-life. This was the best way to see Salzburg if you’re a film fan.

The sound of music tour was great. Our tour guide did a great job. They were late picking us up but made up for it. We enjoyed all the sites and she got us back on time for our dinner reservation.

The tour and tour guide, Werner, were very interesting and informative. We had a great time! Werner even dropped us off in a different part of town so we could explore without worrying about finding another parking spot.

Elischa was fantastic with us, showing us and bringing into life the Sound of Music! He made us feel right at home singing along some of the songs and reenacting the movie. It brought to life the places that the movie was filmed and all the background information accompanying the movie and the production. It was a very special day for us!

Leopold did a great job. Very entertaining and informative. Having done the bus tour before, this is worth the money if you have a small group. It's wonderful to see the beautiful countryside and other sites in a smaller group. Played the music just often enough in the van. Fascinating to learn about the true history of the family. Our Sound of Music tour with Elischa was an absolute delight! He was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of both the movie and the real-life story of the von Trapp family. The private tour was the way to go as we were able to drive up close to the various castles and other stops. The BMW sedan was amazing and luxurious. Elischa made the whole afternoon special and FUN! A top highlight of our trip to Salzburg.

Incredible expirience! Our tour guy Elíseo was great and helped us have a wonderdull time. He fixed the times so that no matter the delay qe ended up having in some stops, we get to visit all the places. We learned about the true story of the family Von Trap with fun facts and even got to sing the songs in the car with full volume and feeling. The atenttion and entretaining we had was a 10/10 expirience. Definetly recommended, we would repet it without heisetetion
