Mozart Dinner Concert In Salzburg

What an incredible night, I will forever remember..if you love Mozart this is for you!! Such an incredible venue!!!

Musical performance excellent, room ambience terrific, but the food was subpar. The soup was tasteless, dinner was dry and dessert disappointing. They need to improve the dinner offering if they want to continue to attract patrons.

The concert is broken into 3 sessions, with a meal course in between each. The concert was excellent! The orchestra was spot on in timing and emphasis. The opera singers were talented and entertaining. The dinner was delicious. The drinks were a bit pricey, but it was a special event. I highly recommend the Mozart Concert!

It was fabulous! The food, the service, the music, the setting…. Everything was wonderful. It was such an enjoyable evening. I highly recommend it.

We loved the entire evening. Beautiful setting, great service. The food & show were excellent. We traveled with a friend who is gluten free & they had a menu to meet her needs as well!!

Wonderful evening out! The musicians were wonderful - they played a mix of just music and opera songs. The food was also very good, and quick service. The music is in between courses so you are able to watch and enjoy. It's not a large room and the singers walk around, so there is no bad seat. Highly recommend for your time in Salzburg!

The chamber orchestra was exceptional. The opera singers were amazing and entertaining as well. The food was very good and the dining hall was elegant and beautiful. No beverages including water is included but available for purchase.

Listening to Mozart under candlelight in such a stunning building is truly a unique experience. All the performers were first class and the singers mesmerising. It highlighted how truly talented Mozart was as a composer. We particularly enjoyed how they added humour and involved the audience throughout the night. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

The Mozart Dinner Concert was a fun and interesting experience. The singing and performances were entertaining, and the food was simple but good. The historic setting inside the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the world made the evening feel even more special. A memorable night in Salzburg!

If I could give this 10 stars I would! It really was THAT good. For a lifelong Mozart and music lover like myself, this was something I really didn't expect - it exceeded my expectations well and truly. It was light, frivolous, fun, lively, elegant and masterful - just like Mozart! The 3-course dinner was enjoyable, the pace of the evening was perfect, and the baroque hall was gorgeous with amazing acoustics. The performers were incredible, talented, perfectionist, in costume and engaging. Couldn't fault anything! Set in Salzburg in this beautiful setting, it was like a dream and I didn't want it to end. Thank you - it was worth every cent.

This was a highlight of our trip to Austria. The food was delicious and the music was beautiful! Would definitely highly recommend this experience!

I thought the performance was entertaining even if you didn’t know anything about opera. The service was great. Our waiter helped find discounts with our wine selection.

Live performance AMAZING cast! Get there early, everyone who works there is so kind and helpful, good at their job. Especially making it special for my brothers birthday with a special song and brownie. He was truly thankful!

So. We were expecting some Mozart with rubber cicken and stewed vegetables. WRONG. Food was great; fixed menu because of the need to interweave the food and the performances plus the fact that there were about 100 people to be fed (we were there in the shoulder season so the room was only 90% full; our waiter told us that in the peak season they open the room up and can seat about 190). The menu was simple; a chicken and lemon cake nsomme, roast chicken with mased potatoes and steamed vegetables-all perfectly done and a Salzburger Nockerle for dessert. All cooked perfectly and delivered by very professional wait staff. Gigantic wine list. And that was just the food. We were mainly there for the music; a string quintet in period costume and playing period instruments plus a baritone and a coloratura soprano, all of whom were superb. The singers got out there amongst the audience to the great delight of everyone. And finally, there was the venue. A beautiful room in an amazing building. The St Peter Stiftskulinarium, according to its Wikipedia entry, is the oldest restaurant in the world. We spent about 300 Euros for the evening, of which 120 Euros was for the wine; a really good Austrian Pinot Noir. We don't normally spend that much on wine but we hadn't hitherto known they even made Pinot Noir in Austria!!

Relaxing evening with delicious food and wonderful music. The service was good . Expect to pay for water.

It was unexpectedly really good. The music was so good the singers were amazing. The dinner is served In stages so you’re not crazy full ready to go to sleep. The food came out hot for a big crowd. That was a nice surprise.

This was truly a lot of fun. I was looking for the ticket booth downstairs by the door but just note that you need to go upstairs. Also note that there will be drinks for sale with the dinner, I didn't realize when they brought water that it was going to be 8 plus euros. But, the entertainment was top-notch and the food was as I suspected, good just a little unusual.

Wonderful concert and dinner in a historical, unique restaurant! The menu was three courses with soup, a main entree, and dessert. It was very tasty and special to the Classical period. The concert took place throughout the evening and was thoughtfully paced after each course. The musicians played a selection of well-known Mozart pieces with two opera singers performing and putting on a great show! It was an intimate setting and a special evening that I highly recommend!

We had a great time at this dinner concert! The classical music with the opera singers in such a beautiful and historic building made for a great night. The food was delicious, and we had some yummy glasses of wine. The singers would do a set of 5-6 songs and then you’d get a course of food, then they’d resume until the entire meal was finished. Highly recommend if you want to do something fun with your evening in Salzburg beyond just dinner.

A delightful experience, with 5 excellent musicians and two opera singers, performing excerpts from three Mozart operas (Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflote), in a large room in what us reputed to be the oldest restaurant in Europe (803), right in the historical heart of Salzburg. The food was excellent, as was the service throughout. Would heartily recommend it

Fantastic setting. The Orchestra were amazing and the opera singers were very good. The food was loverly and the staff were very very helpful. It felt like were were millionaires having a night out with the service.

Outstanding dinner experience. Our family is not a fan of opera or classical music. But this was a truly remarkable experience. The orchestra were impeccable, playing Mozart flawlessly. The opera singers were astounding. The hall was perfect for acoustics, and the meal superb. I couldn’t say enough great things about this experience. Younger children also seemed to be quite interested throughout the whole evening All in all, a great time. I would gladly do it again

What an absolutely incredible experience. Starting from the room decor, to the music and the audience interaction. The service was wonderful and the dinner scrumptious. I had the vegetarian option, and you can email them dietary restrictions ahead of time. A must, even on a short trip.

We had a great time. You don’t have to be a big classical music or opera fan to enjoy it. The musicians and vocalists were talented. They also injected some humor and engaged the audience. For banquet food it was good. The format worked well as they alternated music sets and dinner courses. It’s a large room so the closer you sit to the front the more you’ll enjoy being the performance.

This was very disappointing after enjoying this experience 12 years earlier. The music was nice but the food was very average. The Salzburger nockerl was embarrassing. I will not be back and not recommend to others

Great experience and the food was reasonable too. Really enjoyed the interaction with the audience. As a solo travel also enjoyed the company, as I was placed on a table who all spoke english.

We had an amazing experience. The orchestra and the singers were phenomenal. They incorporated interaction with the crowd and some humor, which made it appealing for the younger people. We just LOVE LOVE it! The performers were very entertaining in spite of its formal atmosphere. This added to the excitement and memorable experience. The owner always made sure we are enjoying the show! Excellent!

This was a real highlight of our trip to Strasberg. The building is historic and well maintained and the dinner, service, wine menu, and musical and vocal talent was amazing. Highly recommend

The meal (no choice - there is a fixed 3 course meal) was quite good. Th musicians and the opera singers were talented. The selections they performed from the operas were enjoyable and the singers- particularly the man - engaged the audience.

The performance is great and a memorable experience in Salzburg. The food is just ok at best, as most reviews point out. It seems like they should invest in putting together a better meal, but the performance is something our kids will remember, so we would recommend going.

This activity was one of the highlights and most memorable of our trip. From arrival we were welcomed like family and staff were so attentive through the whole experience. The room and atmosphere was AMAZING, so rich and dazzling, the performance so beautiful and entertaining, made us laugh and cry through different songs. The food memorable and enjoyable as all based around Mozart. Was lovely to try some different Austrian delicacies that were from Mozart’s era. The American couple we sat with were very friendly and we enjoyed their company and discussions prior and during the performance. Most of all we LOVED the warm welcoming and attentive service from the staff. Over and above normal restaurant service. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome. I wish we lived in Salzburg so we could attend regularly. We truly recommend this experience.

The meal was great and how fun to eat things Mozart might have eaten. The show was wonderful, with delightful performances and passion by musicians and vocalists alike. The audience engagement was fantastic.

This was an absolutely wonderful night of song and food. The performances are top notch and the environment is stunning. Are you a sourpuss who is unable to enjoy a joke or two? Don't come.

Music and show were fantastic! The food was okay, and it was served very late. We didn’t eat the main course until almost 9:00pm and it wasn’t great. Service wasn’t good. Waited over an hour for water. Eat before you go but the entertainment was really excellent!

This was simply marvelous. The music was splendid as the quintet and two opera singers were top notch professionals. The meal was very good as well. I recommend this excursion to anyone interested in hearing some classical music in a beautiful setting with a meal created from recipes common during the era of Mozart.
