Hallstatt was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The tour was informative and made it very relaxed traveling and parking.

Had a lovely morning exploring Hallstatt. Got there early in the morning and it was very foggy. But the fog cleared within an hour or so. After that the views were amazing. It's a small place so you don't need longer that 2-3 hours there.
Fantastic place to visit, the drop off point is great, you walk straight down into the fairy tail like village, missing the commercial bit 👍 the tourguide was excellent, very knowledgable and witty , all in all a great experience 👍
Excellent experience with PanoramaTours. Our guilds name was Sonia. She was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you Sona. You made our tour to be an excellent experience. We were all so very happy with you. Group of 8
It was a near 300$ bus ride to Halstatt for three people, no tour around the town was included. Would not recommend.
Wonderful day out in a small lake village. Amazing views of the town and the lake. Wander the streets, parks and visit the churches along with the skull house
Great trip and location/beautiful and has had a role in various movies The drive and villages to see offers a glimpse of Austria outside Salzburg.
The guide Bridgette was awful and appeared unwell. She was not interested and boring. Unfortunately it was a rainy day. She could have given us clear guidelines instead of telling us to walk down the street. Hope others don’t have to suffer her.
The bus was roomy and comfortable. There was a bathroom onboard if needed. It is a beautiful drive going to Hallstatt. Our guide spoke English and we understood her commentary along the trip perfectly. We saved time taking this half day tour on the common stead of using public transport. We had ample time to take the funicular to the top Skywalk platform and to stroll through the town. Even time to enjoy a soup and beer at a cafe on the beautiful lake.
We had a group of almost all Americans. Our guide was Alenka, and she spoke very well, knowledgeable, witty, all -rounded, obviously very experienced. Eve treated everyone well, and the driver was also pleasant. I felt very rushed, and had planned to eat lunch there but not enough time. We did have exactly one free hour in Berchtesgaden at the end, in which one could eat lunch, and had to be back by the bus or it would take off. Personally, I want to enjoy my meal when I dine, and not worry about a deadline, as a retired person. The scenery throughout is just breathtaking. My hotel manager, Eric, spoke very highly of this tour operator. I would have like to have a printed pamphlet for the tour with the times, way ahead, so I knew what to expect. Also it would make a good souvenir and way to pass it on to future clients.
It was well organized. There was interesting and useful information from the guide. And we enjoyed the length of time that was given to spend on our own in town. I would highly recommend it.
Hallstatt is fabulous! Unfortunately, this half-day trip does not allow us to do more than stroll aimlessly in the town. Thus, we did not have enough time to visit the nearby salt mine or to go in a cruise around the lake. Do yourself a favor and go on a full day trip instead.
Hallstatt is absolutely beautiful! The bus ride there and back is very picturesque. I would say worth it.
Not the fault of the driver or the guide, both were perfect. Not the fault of the Austrian countryside which is beautiful. Not the fault of Hallstatt which is a beautiful village on the side of a lake surrounded by mountains...but unfortunately this tour/visit is a tourist trap. You are stuck on a small 1 km long street with thousands of tourists taking the same pictures and visiting the same low to mid quality product shops for 2 hours hoping for deliverance from the crowd as soon as possible. For the last 30 minutes of the tour you wait at the bus stop watching all the buses dropping more and more tourists when finally your bus.... and deliverance arrive! Visit the village early in the morning or in the evening after the last bus has departed, I am sure it is beautiful. The charm did not work for me in this tour...unfortunately.
Lovely trip to a stunning location! We took the morning/half day trip , which missed the biggest crowds. Our guide was very informative and pointed out places of interest along the way. What a stunning place it was, so glad we did this trip!
5-1/2 hour itinerary is exact. Great multilingual Guide was very professional and hospitable. Nice touring bus. Hallstatt is a very serene place and worthy of a visit.
Fantastic trip to Hallstatt from Salzburg. Comfortable coach, friendly coach driver, knowledgeable and funny guide! Hallstatt is stunning and definitely worth a visit ✨️ 😍
Panorama Tours seems to have a policy of rewarding late arriving guests to the bus. Several groups arrived late and the tour guide proceeding to ask seated guests to move seats so these new arrivals could sit together. It was so disruptive and why should people who planned correctly, arrived on time and chose seats together be penalized to accommodate late arrivals. Our guide, sylvia, proceeding to do that 2 x. on the bus were we on. There was also a group of 9 late people who were rushed in a van to our bus, which now had to stop to wait for them to arrive at the waiting bus. There was one guest that she moved away from her family so she could make room for these new people. Needless to say, that person was not happy. This is bad business in my opinion.
Hallstatt was beautiful but this was basically just transport to Hallstatt and back to Salzburg. The guide did give us a lot of information and interesting facts while on the bus and she was friendly and approachable. Once we arrived the guide leaves you there for 2 1/2 hours and then meets up with you at the bus for the ride home. It was quite expensive for what really isn't a 'guided tour' but just transportation to Hallstatt and interesting facts on the bus.
Great bus guide was sharing information entire round trip, beautiful village. Wonderful experience highly recommend
Your operator did a good job of organizing us and informing us, however, I think you can pay a private drive to take you there for the same price. Also, because it was a large group tour, we departed late waiting on a group of people. This sort of thing is unavoidable in a large group tour.
The trip to hallstatt was wonderful. The views there are so scenic, it was stunning. We also had lovely weather that made the experience that much better. The 2 and half hours they gave you was plenty to explore and have something to eat. We made a trip to the bone house which was very interesting. Max, our guide, was wonderful too. He was very knowledgeable about the area and kept us entertained the whole way there.
An excellent trip! Very quaint & lovely on a clear sunny day. Would have liked more time there. Our lady guide was excellent. Gave many tips & ideas of where to go. Highly recommend this tour.
If you want to see Hallstatt quickly without doing the transportation on your own, this is a good option. Be mindful you only really have 2 hours in Hallstatt and it's already a bit crowded by 10AM. The town is beautiful and the lake is stunning but I can definitely can see why the locals are annoyed. We were able to take photos, get a snack, visit some shops and admire the swans and ducks. Our guide, Silvia, was very funny and knowledgeable and entertained us most of the drive. FYI - no toilet breaks from Salzburg to Hallstatt drive and no food/drink on the bus. One negative aspect - we were supposed to leave at 8:15 AM and left closer to 8:30 AM because some participants were not on time. So if you are reading this and planning to go - please be on time for your tour!!! : ) Also, you need to CHECK IN at the Panorama Tour desk FIRST then get a card to board the bus.
Excellent tour guide . Lots of narration on our ride to Hallstatt. One of the Most beautiful places I have ever been. Weather was perfect. Take the funicular ride up to the sky bridge. Breathtaking views.
Hallstatt was amazing BUT our tour guide Sylvia was not. She did not explain any of the history of Hallstatt nor anything about it other than to say the town use to have 1,000 residents but because of all the tourists around 200 left. We came on this tour to specifically hear all about Hallstatt. We did hear about history of Salzburg, sound of music which again shouldn’t be part of this tour. She also called out an older gentleman sitting in front of me because he had earplugs in his ears and he was sleeping. So rude! Who cares. He bought a ticket to go and if he wants to sleep let him. She actually went over to him and woke him up!!!!! Crazy. I felt bad for him. The last thing I’m going to mention is that when we got to Hallstatt she didn’t offer to take anyone’s pictures in front of the beautiful views. She just said just go left and be back for the bus at noon. she didn’t do much. Very disappointed because that excursion was expensive.
Our driver was very careful, informative & jovial. Hallstatt is just delightful.
Very beautiful drive and town. Our guide was very exuberant and passed on a lot of information throughout the ride. Would love to go back and stay for a night.
What a fun experience! The sing along was so fun and Kylie was AMAZING! You can tell she absolutely loves her job. Well done!
This tour arrived before most other tours which was perfect to explore with a relatively quiet town.
The trip to Hallstatt was very pretty. The route had the prettiest scenary and Hallstatt did not disappoint. It is nestled in the mountains on a really pretty lake. Our guide was great.
If you want to go to Hallstadt, this is the way to do it. The guide was friendly and knew a lot about Salzburg and Hallstadt. Unfortunately, there were traffic delays on the way, but the tour graciously gave us another half hour in town before leaving. The town is absolutely gorgeous, albeit very touristy. Pick out a restaurant on the water to enjoy the view while having lunch.
Easy, no-stress tour from Salzburg to Hallstatt. A friend recommended I check out Hallstatt. Very glad I did. Charming, beautiful town. Great scenery along the way. Would take this tour again. We had a double-decker bus. The top level filled up completely, so arrive early enough to secure a seat.
A beautiful ride through the countryside and mountains. I wouldn’t have seen the area without this excursion. Our guide Phillip was friendly, relaxed and full of knowledge about what we were seeing. The coach was clean and comfortable.
I thought it was easy to find the meet up location and our guide was fantastic! Sad part is it felt a bit short our time there. I could have used another hour or two. I felt rushed and really wanted to enjoy the views.
Wonderful excursion. Bus was clean and comfortable. We had 2.5 hours to explore Hallstatt which was enough time to easily transverse the town and eat lunch/shop. Very scenic ride from Salzburg.
Hallstatt is gorgeous and we had a lovely time, however the trip did not allow enough time in Hallstatt to experience it properly. There is not enough time to tour the salt mine or appreciate the shops and township. An extra 2-3 hours would have been perfect. The bus tour guide was very knowledgeable and lovely, however I would have enjoyed hearing her talk more and sharing even more insight about Austria, its history and the region.
Very good method of transportation to Hallstatt. Not really what you would consider a tour. It is a beautiful ride.
Max was outstanding! His knowledge of the area and his humor made the trip very enjoyable. I especially loved the Mozart music he played between talking.
Pack lightly and enjoy the simple ride. Had a great tour guide. Definitely take in the view from the new sky walk.
Hallstatt is a beautiful, charming town. We were there in September and the weather was gorgeous and small crowds.
As a transfer service, this works well and is a super easy way to get to Hallstatt! If you’re looking for a tour or historical information about Hallstatt this isn’t for you. You only get 2 hours in Hallstatt which wasn’t enough for the museum, town, and salt mines. It was okay for us since it was raining but in a beautiful day you may want more time. But if you want a quick visit this went smoothly!
It was raining so that put the damper on things and the cafes only accepted cash. But the place itself was beautiful on a lake with mountains on all sides I would recommend this trip
Fun trip for 2 1/2 hours exploring Hallstatt. This was an hour and a half bus ride to and from with narrated sightseeing along the way. Highly recommend.
Great tour and stunning scenery. Definitely recommend going up the funicular. The tour guide was wonderful and very informative. The bus driver was also a very good driver. Highly recommend this tour
The guide was exceptional. He gave us a great talk on the way out with lots of historical and environmental facts. Who knew ‘salary’ originates from the first salt trading? Brilliant advice on how to get the most of our time there with a great walking route. We had time to take a boat on the lake for the best view of Hallstatt thanks to his guidance. Well worth the money
For a bus tour involving a lot of drive time, this was surprisingly well organized and worthwhile, Hallstatt is a postcard Alps village with more tourists than residents, but it has a fairy tale vibe despite the crowds. Maria is an excellent guide.
Very good tour, Halstatt itself was beautiful. Well worth doing and because it leaves early in the morning Halstatt less crowded
Excellent! Our trip to Hallstatt was perfect. The bus rides to and from were timely and smooth. Mitch was an excellent guide. He provided the perfect walking tour, which we followed. His recommendations made the experience feel like a personal guided tour. I would definitely recommend for an stress-free day trip to a beautiful location.
Worth every penny. Great driver and guide. And the city is incredible. We did the boat ride there and really enjoyed the views
