What a wonderful thing to do whilst in Salzburg! Our instructor was excellent - very friendly and knowledgeable. A great, quaint venue for the class as well. We were lucky enough to be the only ones doing this session so were able to ask lots of questions along the way. It's great to know how to make a proper apple strudel now so we will definitely be trying it out again at home! Delicious goulash lunch whilst we waited for our strudel to bake and added a schnapps to sip alongside! Would really recommend this activity 👌.

At the end of your lesson the whole room is filled with Christmas fragrances, and the whole experience of baking is guaranteed to be as rewarding as enjoying the final outcome itself.

This tour was simply wonderful. We learned how to make cookies and apple strudel. Austria has the very best apple strudel. If you are ever in Salzburg around thanksgiving or Christmas time this is an absolute must.
Fun experience. Small class, knowledgeable instructors. It was a hands on experience with instructor led demonstration. There was time to bake and eat our own creations. Definitely recommend.
Really great experience, hands on cooking experience with lots to eat afterwards, it was amazing to do all tasting and they threw in some lunch as well, really great experience
A fun activity on a beautiful, wintery day in Salzburg. Guidance was clear, lunch was delicious, and strudel perfect!
We had a great time at the edelweiss cooking school. The set up is great and the whole family (2 adults and two teenagers) enjoyed it. The only reason I have given 4 stars is breccias the one I really wanted (evening cooking class with music) was not available while we were there. But the one we ended up doing was still lots of fun.
we had so much fun!! our instructor was amazing and we were laughing the whole time! the lunch we were provided was delicious, I would definitely recommend taking the class!
Great experience! Our instructor was very helpful and patient! Would love to come back and do the summer pretzel class:))
Fun class with a great instructor. Very unique location and enjoyed the family style tastings. Delicious!!
Fun family experience with great cooking guides and delicious sweet treats. Made the challenge of an Apfelstrudel seem simple!
Our two families did the cooking class followed by Goulash on Christmas Day. It was well organised and enjoyed by the whole group. Would highly recommend this school. Making the pastry from scratch was something none of us had ever tried before.
Had a lovely time with Johan and his team as we learned how to make struedel and traditional crescent cookies, and also enjoyed a very nice lunch of ghoulash. The cooking school is built into the cliff, which was an interesting aspect of the experience.
We throughly enjoyed our experience! Very festive, informative and fun. Worth every penny. Delicious goulash was a bonus! Huge thanks to the hosts
Had a great morning learning how to make apple strudel and vanilla kipferl cookies. My family and I enjoyed the lesson. We had our own table with ingredients and were shown step by step how to construct a strudel. While the strudel and cookies were baking we joined our tables together with the other guests and enjoyed goulash for lunch followed by our own cooked items. It was a lot of fun chatting with the other travellers like us. Highly recommend!
We booked this for our first afternoon in Salzburg as we had an early start of our day from the UK. So glad we did. It was a lovely relaxed class and was really well organised. There were four other couples or family groups. We cooked, ate delicious goulash followed by the strudel we had made. Whole lesson lasted 90 minutes and we had strudel to take back to our hotel room. Would highly recommend.
This was such a fun activity to do. It was great to learn how to make the strudel and cookies. Nonna and Ishmail were helpful and made the experience enjoyable. Would highly recommend this activity.
If you are looking for something fun and active to do in Salzburg, this is it! Our group of six ranged from 13-58 years old and each of us enjoyed our time making strudel and Christmas cookies. The hosts were detailed in their demonstration and then provided assistance as each group about to make our own strudel. Everything turned out delicious and we left with the ability to replicate the strudel at home. So fun! We’d definitely take another of their classes if we had a chance.

We had a great time making apple strudel and pretzels. The instructor was very skilled and gave a demonstration before helping us make our own, The goulash soup, and our strudel and pretzels were very tasty A highlight was an opera student who sang some beautiful opera and Sounds Of music songs. We would recommend this event.
Terrific experience. Loved the simple instructions followed by demonstration and you did the same. Who knew it was actually that easy. Took away lots of cooking tips.
Had such a nice time trying out these traditional recipes. Pretty nice getting to eat your work!! The strudel was amazing. Talented chef, fun class, and good to try something new in this city! I will actually try to make the strudel when I return home!
Very easy to sign up, wonderful experience with instructor, food delicious, I was on tour and recommended to next tour.
The owner offers wine and coffee. There was no indication that you had to pay 5 euros each for the drinks in cash before leaving. There were people who had no cash to pay.
We really enjoyed this adventure as a couple. The two teachers were very friendly, they had wine available which was tasty and they showed each step and helped. We enjoyed lunch while the strudel and the cookies were in the oven. We recommend doing this activity in Salzburg. You won’t find friendlier people and you interact with others making your trip even more enjoyable. Small world story, someone who works for the same company ended up our partners!
We had a warm welcome by friendly and knowledgeable staff. The recipes were extremely well demonstrated and detailed which made the class enjoyable and stressless. Actually, the cookies, strudels and goulash were delicious and will be replicated at home! Simply a wonderful afternoon.
A lovely cooking class. Great group of people. Be mindful..you get charged for any drinks. This wasnt disclosed before we got offered some! Left a little bitter taste after a wonderful sweet afternoon.
We really enjoyed this cooking lesson at Edelweiss. We learnt how to make apple strudel and practised rolling and stretching the dough (who knew!). We also made some little cookies (sorry I've forgotten their name!). We had a very scrummy goulash soup (I'm a bit of a goulash fiend and I really liked this) and tasted our own creations. A very jolly session, rounded off by Nicolette's wonderful singing, thank you!
Our instructor was very personable. She was well versed in the recipes. Our class was small and very interactive. The lunch was delicious. It was wonderful having time to get to know the other people in the class during lunch. Would highly recommend.
We had a lot of fun. My only real suggestion would be to implement a no kid policy or no kids under 12. The 9 year old in class was a real pain.
Lovely experience making strudel and cookies with an Austrian chef. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we enjoyed every minute.
Wonderful experience. My wife and 7 year old grandson participated. Recommend this event for young and old. Staff were brilliant.
An excellent lesson where no prior baking eperiences needed. Pastry chef make the instructions and technique so easy to follow. Best part, you got to taste your own baking, and it's amazingly great! Hmm... recipe is great too. I love the Christmas cookies is so crunchy and not dry. It's addictive, I finished them up in my accomodation.
Such a fun class with great food, amazing instruction and good times with strangers. Loved this and would definitely recommend.
Wow! What a wonderful way to start our adventure in Austria!! The step by step instruction for making both the apple strudel and the almond cookies was perfect! These two ladies were very patient and incredibly organized. We not only got to enjoy our homemade baked goods but also enjoyed lunch with some new friends. So fun! I would highly recommend adding this activity to your itinerary! Don’t wait…spots fill quickly!
We loved this cooking class! The staff in the kitchen was phenomenal and the setting was perfect, close to the Old Town and located in a old carved out cave. So fun!
So much fun! Absolutely enjoyed every single, delicious moment. The instruction was clear and fun to do together. Great lunch and yummy strudel.
What a fun experience! Learning the techniques and eating the final product together. We loved it!!!
Great activity for family and friends. Instruction very easy to understand and follow. Super cute setting.
Excellent brief strudel and cookie class - just long enough / not too long! …..,,,,.,……..,…………,,,,,,…………………………………………………………….:…
Fun experience - dough stretching experience was very helpful as were the tips/tricks from the chef. In the cold evening, warm non-alcoholic drinks options (coffee or hot chocolate) would have been nice addition. Serving a semmel with the goulash would have been a nice touch.
Great experience. Our host was so nice and everything was well prepared for us. Everything was easy to understand and great tasting too!
Although I'm not a baker, it was very fun activity to do. I was the only one there so I think the person took extra time to explain each step to me. I did my best even though my cookies were a little crooked and my Strudel looked lopsided to me. While waiting for the Christmas Cookies and Apple Strudel to bake, I was served some delicious beef goulash and had a glass of wine. Once the goods had finished baking, I ate half of the cookies and a piece of Strudel! They were both very good and I had plenty to with me to eat later. The cooking school is set inside a cave which was really cool to see how they placed the appliances and everything in there. The restroom or WC was very modern which was a surprise. The only negative is that the instructions can be a little clearer. Have a picture of the srea with a sign pointing directly st the door.
This was such a fun and authentic experience. Highly recommend!! Our cooking skills were impressive and the taste was soo delicious!!
Very fun and accommodating. I have a nut allergy and the chef made a special batch of dough for me to work with, and even cooked it in another oven to make sure nothing was contaminated. Awesome experience.
A wonderful afternoon with Leonardo. He made our Strudel making enjoyable. Excited to make it again at home!!
Great experience! Loved the hands on experience to bake some delicious streudel and Christmas cookies. Highly recommended for an interactive experience
We had the best time / experience! Teaching was excellent! Food was delicious. Hungarian goulash was hot and satisfying.
This was such a fun class! It was very organized so we were able to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. While our apple strudel and Vanillekipferl cookies baked, we enjoyed the company of the other participants while we ate delicious goulash soup. When finished baking, the strudel and cookies were desert. We left with a goodie bag of cookies that we enjoyed with tea the next day. When we got back to the states we made the cookies to share with our family and friends. They will be a Christmas staple from now on! We would definitely take another class if we are fortunate enough to visit again.
Great activity to do while in Salzburg old town and delicious lunch included !! Cool location and recipes provided .
Great fun! Enjoyed learning hit to make and Eli try at home. Everything was delicious, including lunch! We met some lovely people too. A different experience from museums and churches.
