Great for two or some good friends to enjoy this. It was very good. The food, wine, desert and most of all the music. They are not amateurs, but true musicians.

The Mozart Golden VIP Dinner & Concert was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish and fantastic value for money. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely scrumptious. We were lucky enough to have front-row seats, which made the concert even more special. The performance itself was truly beautiful and emotional — it genuinely brought tears to our eyes. The intimate setting made the whole evening feel incredibly special and personal. Everything was so well organised, and it was definitely money well spent. A truly unforgettable evening that we would highly recommend! 🎶✨

Book early! It sells out fast. Spectacular location for dinner! Request window seat. Food good. Vegetarian option.go early to enjoy the view and be in line for dinner. Remember there are a lot of stairs so wear good climbing shoes. The music is wonderful and the night view of the city is amazing. Concert ends between 9:30 and 10 PM. Enjoy!

This is an experience that I recommend highly. You get to use the furnincular and then dine in a restaurant with terrific views. After the meal, you get to listen to an expert string quartet perform for an hour! Really good way to spend an evening in Salzburg.

Fantastic dinner and exceptional concert!!!!!

This was wonderful from start to finish. The timing of it all was meticulous. We arrived at the funicular just before 6.15 and everything was well sign posted at the top. After a short wait in a queue to be seated, we were led to a table by the railing for a breathtaking few. Our order was taken quickly for drinks and the main course and we were told what the VIP golden booking included. It was absolutely worth the additional cost. The food was delicious and the service smooth at a very gentle pace. The concert itself was wonderful, the musicians were very talented and played quite a few pieces including my favourite. It was my husbands birthday and we could not have asked for a better evening out.

Unbelievable night! Felt like a princess having a VIP Dinner on the terrace of the fortress. The concert was incredible and even the wonderful musicians had their own personalities. It was definitely the highlight of our trip!

The dinner was wonderful and the view was exceptional. The concert brought me to tears. Everything about the evening was more than expected.

The scenery, venue, and music were exquisite. We went during the latest heat wave which made the dinner uncomfortable, but the staff did their best to ensure it was bearable.

The Mozart Concert and dinner was a lovely evening. The atmosphere at Hohensalzburg was perfect. The dinner was excellent, and there was much wine poured! Most outstanding was the string quartet that played. They were a cohesive, energetic and engaging group. This experience is one that we will remember for a long time.

Very nice dinner with great view from the dining room, and entertaining concert. The price for the VIP dinner was a little high. It included front row tickets to the concert but the venue is small and the acoustics good so it's of questionable value.

The music and dinner as well as the setting was wonderful Very disappointing that we were charged for 4 x programs for the music concert but we did not receive 1 single program. They just said they did not have enough But surely if you sell something yo someone you must give it to the person. I think we should get a refund for the programs we paid and did not get.

Best part was the staff members who were amazing, followed by the pumpkin soup which was to die for. We had the wine package and the dining experience was nice, but aside from the soup the food was just average. The concert was also nice, with passionate and talented musicians. The playlist surprised me a bit, as the scores were not that familiar or memorable for the typical tourist (who I assume is the target audience for this event). Still, a great night out and lovely experience.

Fabulous experience starting with a delicious meal and stunning view of Salzburg, then superb classical music delivered by highly professional and entertaining musicians, at a truly memorable and acoustically pleasing venue.

The dinner was very tasty and we especially enjoyed the trout entree. It was a nice touch that an aperitif, wine and coffee were all included. Our waiter was very attentive, and a pleasant gentleman. The views of Salzburg were impressive. The highlight of the evening was the concert. The ensemble played beautifully and there was great engagement with the audience. We enjoyed all of the pieces of music they chose to play. The standing ovation at the end was well deserved. As others have posted, there are stairs to deal with in multiple places navigating the fortress so be aware if you have mobility challenges.

Incredible. Just incredible. Go for the VIP experience. It is worth every penny. Don't eat lunch before this dinner, they feed you well. The concert afterwards is a memory of a lifetime.

The hosting site Viator made a mistake with the date. It was a week before we were even in the country. I tried to get the date changed and get the credit for the new date. They refused any accommodation or discount. I lost $600 and they can care less. I booked with another location and had a good time. I noticed there was plenty of unused dishes at the end. Beware booking and don’t pay until you have to.

Music: Wonderful performance of great classical pieces. VIP dinner: not so much. Only one of a couple faces window, the photo is misleading. Cheap wine with metal screw cup. Name of the offered wine differs from that written in the menu. No option to add any additional courses or drinks to the menu for a fee.

I booked the Golden VIP Dinner & Mozart Concert at Fortress Hohensalzburg as a birthday treat, and can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. We had an absolutely marvelous evening. We walked through the Old Town and got the funicular at the appointed time (you do have to ask the person at the ticket counter for your free tickets to get through the gate - and remember to put them in a safe place as you'll need them at the end of the evening to get out!). Once up in the fortress everything is clearly signposted; and we were quickly seated. A very friendly waiter came and explained the evening to us and asked our choices of wine and main course. We began with prosecco and a roll with delicious cream cheese. The soup was the tastiest I've ever had, and my main (trout) was cooked to perfection; not to mention the dessert. Tea or coffee followed. We then made our way to the concert. A walk not really for the faint-hearted as there are several steps to climb. However once there you are rewarded with having seats allocated, and we were fortunate to be in the centre of the front row. The concert was brilliant. A quartet of strings with the second violin giving up their place for a pianist for part of the concert. They were exceptional; not only super music but good humour too. A free programme and drinks in the interval being just another bonus. Everyone was very friendly and obviously intent on making the evening enjoyable for everyone there. At the end of the evening we had the opportunity to see the views; night had fallen but the views with twinkling lights were no less spectacular. If you have the opportunity you really should go and see for yourself.

This was one of the best experiences on any trip in a long time. The food and service before the performance was excellent. The performance itself at the top of the fortress looking into the valley below was an experience not to miss. The musicians were outstanding. I would do this again and again.

This is a great venue to see a Mozart concert and the quality of the musicians was amazing. the dinner was delicious and the service great. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in music and traditional Viennese dinner!

Supper in the fortress was great. The service and view were also fantastic. The concert was the best part. Even my teenage kids enjoyed it all! Golden ticket was worthwhile giving us a great view at supper and front row seats for the concert.

Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner at the fortress and the superb concert following the dinner. The musicians playing the violins were outstanding and wonderful to listen to. The setting is magnificent. The concert was outstanding and memorable. The dinner was OK, not memorable.

We arrived on time for dinner and a Mozart concert at the fortress in Salzburg however the tram to take us up to the fortress was inoperable. My wife and I are both in our eighties and were ill equipped to make the steep climb required. We would like a refund.

Paid big $ for the Gold VIP dinner and show. Front row seats at the show and the best seating in the restaurant or terrace, pending the weather. Food was nice, the show an experience but no fancy acoustics within the room as it's no cathedral.

Even if you are not a big classical music fan, this will be a great experience. The views from the venue are magnificent, the room is beautiful and true Austrian experience.

A most memorable evening for our family! The golden VIP tickets were absolutely worth the money. Make sure to arrive at the fortress with enough time to walk around as there is much to see and explore. We showed up about 1 hour before dinner and could have used more time. Dinner was a fantastic experience, with a stunning view of Salzburg. The meal itself was delicious and service was attentive. The concert was a rare treat. The musicians were expressive - it’s highly unusual to be so up close in an intimate venue. The experience of the evening left us feeling very fulfilled.
