Hotel Salzburgerhof

Our stay at the Salzburgerhof in Zell am See was truly exceptional, and it is a place we will remember very fondly. The hotel has a fantastic location, just a few minutes from the lake and the town centre, while still offering wonderful peace, privacy and a relaxing atmosphere. The entire property is beautifully and meticulously maintained, with plenty of greenery and lovely spaces to unwind. The gastronomy is another highlight and is truly of a very high standard. We especially appreciated having a wonderful selection of food available throughout the day. The day starts with a generous breakfast buffet, including freshly prepared omelettes and scrambled eggs made to order, followed by lunch with a choice of four main dishes. In the afternoon, there is a lovely selection of desserts, cakes and delicious strudels, followed by a fantastic dinner with a choice of dishes from the menu. One of the things that impressed us most was the hotel’s excellent approach to food allergies. Several members of our family have different allergies, which we informed the hotel about upon arrival. It was wonderful to see that the entire team was aware of them throughout our stay. At meals, staff would proactively let us know what we could safely eat and what we should avoid, and at dinner they were always happy to guide us through the menu. This level of attention and professionalism gave us a great sense of comfort. The entire team is very friendly, professional and international, and we would especially like to mention the fantastic hotel manager. Whenever we had a small individual request, he was incredibly helpful, attentive and genuinely committed to finding the best solution. It is exactly this kind of personal approach that turns a very good hotel into an exceptional one. The beautiful pool and wellness area, peaceful atmosphere and stunning surroundings make this a perfect place to truly relax. We travelled as a family of three with a child and two dogs and also really appreciated the hotel’s dog-friendly approach. We completely understand that, given how beautifully maintained the property is, dogs cannot access every area. This was never an issue for us, as there are plenty of lovely walking opportunities nearby and the lake is only a few minutes away on foot. For us, the Salzburgerhof is a wonderful combination of beautiful surroundings, excellent gastronomy, relaxation and, above all, people who genuinely make you feel cared for. Such a fantastic hotel by the lake. Perfect for your wellness retreat. They have nice pools, a pond side area and sauna rooms. Also wellness treatments like massages etc. You just need to know that they close 1 main pool and sauna at 7PM which was a bit disappointment especially in summers. We were only for 1 night, arrived almost in the evening and pools sauna were soon closed Rooms are nice but ofcourse chalet types. Balcony offers such nice view to the Alps. It’s 1 lane behind the main lake. Also if you are lucky, you could see the Zell am see fest which happens on only certain dates. So do check it before. We got lucky by chance and saw amazing fireworks in the fest at the lake.

My husband and I loved our stay here! Beautiful hotel, truly amazing hotel and so many activities to participate in. We did a great walk around the surrounds of the hotel and Diane was so so welcoming, informative and hilarious, she made the night 👏 Highly recommend.

​We recently stayed here for 7 nights during a ski trip, and it is a fantastic hotel! The staff go out of their way to ensure you have a genuine 5-star experience. A hidden gem of this hotel is the spa area; it is absolutely huge, spanning three floors, and they really don't market it enough. ​The dining was also wonderful. There is an extensive breakfast spread, and it was a nice touch that the dinner menu changed daily. The hotel runs a highly convenient minibus to and from the ski lifts every half hour in the mornings and afternoons. As an added bonus, complimentary strudels and cakes are waiting for you when you return from the slopes! Finally, the waiters and the bartender were excellent and incredibly friendly throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
