My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during our first trip to Austria, and it was truly one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The location of the hotel is amazing, very peaceful, green, and surrounded by beautiful views of the Alps. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we were kindly given a free room upgrade. The balcony was facing the Alps, which felt like a dream come true for me. Since childhood, I had imagined waking up to a view like that after reading about the Alps in books, so it was a very special moment. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and professional. There was a small system issue where our booking had been prepared for one person instead of two, although we had booked for two guests. However, the staff sorted it out quickly and smoothly without any inconvenience to us. The receptionist was amazing, friendly, kind, and professional. She walked us all the way to our room and showed us the facilities, which made us feel very well looked after. All the staff spoke English, which was very helpful as we do not speak German. Throughout our stay, the staff were polite, attentive, and made us feel comfortable. The hotel facilities were excellent. We used the indoor pool and plunge pool, which was a lovely experience, and the sauna was also great. The spa area was very relaxing. I had a full body massage, and Nickol, the therapist was professional and friendly. We had a lovely conversation about Austrian culture, which made the experience even nicer. There was no option to choose the fragrance or music for the massage, but the comfort level and overall experience were still excellent. There were also many comfortable seating areas in the lobby and lounges, which gave the hotel a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We did not use the golf, conference, or restaurant facilities, but the room service was very good. There was a gym facility which I found very useful. It had essentials to workout while counting on holiday calaries for me🥹 Breakfast did not have a huge number of choices, but what was available was tasty, and we had no complaints. The only small thing for us was that we are both non-alcoholic, and I personally enjoy having tea or coffee late at night while reading. The restaurant closes around 9pm, and there was no tea or coffee facility inside the room. We did not ask, and I am sure the staff would have helped if we had, but it would be a nice addition for future guests. We also received a thoughtful departure gift, which was such a lovely touch. I still keep the little perfume because I really love it, and the postcards were beautiful too. The location is wonderful, but for guests who do not drive, it is good to know that public transport is limited, with bus/coach 260 being the main option nearby. However, we still managed to visit some beautiful places. Zell am See became my favourite, and we are very thankful to Georgie at reception for the lovely recommendations. Overall, the room, location, views of the Alps, facilities, and staff were all excellent. I honestly felt that I needed a few more days at the hotel to fully enjoy and explore everything. It was a peaceful, memorable, and very special stay for us.

Is a modern and spacious hotel located in Saalfelden, Austria, surrounded by beautiful Alpine landscapes. The hotel offers comfortable rooms, excellent conference and event facilities, and a wide range of wellness options including a spa, indoor pool, and fitness areas. Guests can enjoy high-quality dining with regional and international cuisine, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and golf nearby. With its peaceful location, professional service, and versatile amenities, Hotel Gut Brandlhof is an ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure guests seeking relaxation and comfort in the Austrian Alps.
Very good, but can’t quite give it 5/5. All the staff are lovely, the food is good, the bar is good enough, and the spa is lovely and well-appointed. Location is beautiful with towering mountains all around. The rooms are decent, although our “double” bed was two singles pushed together (so therefore a gap between mattresses), and there is no minibar/fridge - instead there’s a vending machine near the stairs. Hmm. Additionally there’s no kettle/tea/coffee in the rooms, which seems common in Europe but always feels like a gap in provision. The rooms have no ironing facility, but the hotel information says there is an ironing room on each floor, which would be sensible. However, when you ask for the key, you find there is no such room, and your only option is to pay €5 per shirt for laundry service to do it for you. Obviously you only find this out on the evening of your event dinner, so while reception say they can “probably” sort you out in time, they actually can’t, so you’re stuck with an un-ironed shirt. Ho hum. Also… why can no hotel ever provide a wardrobe with enough height to hang a full-length dress? This is a hotel specializing in conferences and “posh” events such as might demand posh frocks, but while the (otherwise lovely) wardrobe is about 2.5m tall, inside there is a shelf below the hanging rail so it’s really only good for shirts and jackets.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Gut Brandlhof, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was struck by its stunning design—everything looks like it’s straight out of a magazine. The blend of modern elegance and cozy charm creates an inviting atmosphere that truly sets the tone for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Whether it was at check-in or during my meals, their warmth and attentiveness were evident at every turn. Speaking of meals, I highly recommend opting for the half-board option! The dinner was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes that catered to every palate. Thanks to the waiters who really stood out. Each evening felt like a culinary adventure! The lobby area was a cozy haven, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Plus, the extensive spa area is a true highlight. I spent hours enjoying the different saunas, including the alpine sauna and steam room, and the cool down room was refreshing after a long session of relaxation. The indoor and outdoor pools were perfect for a dip, and I appreciated the variety of sport activities available, like the gym, squash, bowling, and tennis. Overall, Hotel Gut Brandlhof exceeded all my expectations. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting with TOP-NOTCH amenities. I would return in a heartbeat—this place is a true gem! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!
