Looking out from the hotel terrace at Hohensalzburg Fortress and across the street at Mozart’s Residence, I felt as if I had traveled back in time. The chiming of the bells from Holy Trinity Church on the left deeply stirred my traveler's soul. Naturally drawn outside, I enjoyed a serene early morning stroll through the Mirabell Palace gardens located right behind the hotel.

WOW. Unbelievablely beautiful. Great location. We had a balcony room for our 45th wedding anniversary trip. OMG stunning views. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and there were little chocolates left to eat. Location is awesome. Across the bridge to Old Town. Even more beautiful. We took a carriage ride (pre-booked) They picked us up in front of the hotel. That was fun. Breakfast buffet at the hotel is superb. Waiters very attentive. Dinner was delicious as well, plus there was a 10% discount card and a free welcoming drink. The bar was very nice too and they made great beverages. A little glitch on our way to the next destination, our driver was in an accident so we had to get assistance from the front desk. Florian (not sure spelt it correctly) was SUPER helpful. He connected us with the Salzburg Limousine service. Fantastic!!! Thank you Florian. We also did the Sound of Music Tour. Big bus group but everything went smoothly. Fantastic place to visit. Across from the Mozart Museum
Overall, this hotel was an average stay. The staff were the highlight of the experience and were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Unfortunately, the room itself had several issues. Our door was difficult to use, the bathroom lock was broken, the air conditioning barely worked and the room was uncomfortably hot, and the beds were not very comfortable. The breakfast was good, but the location was just okay and not especially convenient. While the excellent service made the stay more enjoyable, the room maintenance and comfort need improvement.
A beautiful Hotel perfectly located in Sandburg. It has an elegant English Country hotel atmosphere with modern rooms all the needed appointments. Great breakfast ( including private outdoor dining if you like ) an oh so English Gentleman's Club bar and super receptive service from the entire staff. You can walk to the oldest restaurant in Europe ,1200 years or more, or sight see from the nearby bridges or winding streets. The staff's English skills are excellent.
Wonderful lunchtime special deal in the Polo Lounge. Superb value for excellent food and service. Great for anyone with allergies (ask the waiter) We were not staying there this time
