We had such a lovely stay in Apparthotel Sonne Obertauern. The staff were genuinely kind and incredibly accommodating — you could really feel that they cared about their guests.
The place was spotless, the food was absolutely delicious, and everything felt thoughtfully arranged. You can tell a lot of care went into making the visitors’ experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.
We felt completely comfortable from start to finish and will definitely be staying again. Highly recommended!
I stayed here with a group of 9 friends in their sky apartment. The accomodation was by far the best I've seen I've experienced in the Alps.
Monika and her staff were welcoming, accommodating and kind. They allowed an early check in free of charge, pre warmed the sauna in our room and kept the breakfast open and hour later for our party.
I can highly recommend this accomodation for anyone who wants a truly special experience.

Super apartment hotel! The complete experience was great. Genuine people! If you go to Obertauern for the first time, or any other time go here. They will take care of you, and help you out with everything.
We liked the room / apartment, the kitchen design, and the furniture, everything is well-equipped. We stayed in Panaroma 1. The staff and owners are genuinely nice, absolutely no fake hospitality, fun conversations, great service, and they even surprised my partner with a birthday cake, song and best greetings, which was really sweet.
Great breakfast! we are going to miss it! If you are a advanced skier you can ski all the way back to hotel if you’re creative😏
We didn’t use the private shuttle, we used our own car as me and my partner needed a lot of different destinations but I’m sure Goran will be more than happy to pick you up! Nice guy!
All in all great place to stay. We would love to come back as it was probably our #1 experience in Austria.

We had the most wonderful stay at Apparthotel Sonne in Obertauern. The apartment itself was beautiful and genuinely felt like a home away from home. It was cosy and perfect for relaxed family time after long days skiing, yet still spacious enough to comfortably manage all the ski gear, boots and layers that come with a winter trip.
Rosemary and her team, including Monika and Goran, could not have been more welcoming or kind. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly looked after. Breakfast each morning was delicious and such a lovely start to the day.
Although the apartment is on the edge of town, this was never an issue. Goran’s shuttle service to and from the ski runs (and even between runs!) was outstanding. He also helped us collect our skis and boots, which made everything so easy and stress-free. After an evening out in Obertauern, it was also completely walkable back to the apartment.
What really set this place apart was the personal touch. The team shared fantastic local tips, helped us plan our ski days and recommended great places to eat. Every time we saw them, we were greeted by name and made to feel like old friends rather than guests.
It was such a special stay that we are already looking forward to coming back. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
