We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alpenland. Good facilities all round. There are mandatory charges that visitors need to be prepared for. However, public transport is free once we worked out which QR code is required by the bus drivers. We were sent two differing ones by the authority. If visitors plan to use the local bus please ensure with reception to show you the correct pass.
Sarah and Floren could not have been more courteous and helpful during our stay. Possibly the greatest resort or hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. They couldn’t do enough for us. We needed a smaller pillow we got it, I needed to heat water. They got me a tea pot and we wanted a nice fan and they brought a tall beautiful fan. Unfortunately, we had one bad experience with one of the staff but but found out they love you while we were there It goes to show you what a difference great help can have. We also met the manager Peter and he was extremely helpful as well. Strongly suggest this place if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, It’s a good location to go to gorgeous and historical places.
Thank You. We had an amazing experience. The most rewarding was the fact that the mobility card gave us so many additional options of travel to places that were not even on our agenda when we planned this trip. And the bonus that the room was serviced everyday made out stay extremely pleasant.
Did not get her name, but the receptionist during the day was so helpful with bus schedules and other tips to help us navigate the public transportation system. And the guest mobility cards were used every day! Loved the bed...firm yet very comfortable. And, the individual comforters were great...no tug-o-wars with the blankets! The showers were awesome...so soothing after long days of touring, complete with guest bathrobes! The only complaint we had about rooms was that the couch was a bit small and uncomfortable. The pool was nice, but the tiled floor of the pool was a bit slippery. The location is a bit of a travel from Salzburg and Vienna, but the train station was only a 10 minute walk (downhill) and always took us where we wanted to go. For days when we didn't want to walk back (uphill), there were always taxis available to shuttle us from train back to hotel. Overall, a wonderful trip full of great memories.
The hotel was nicely appointed and equipped with a variety of food, beverage and spa options. Great location. Provided us with complimentary train and bus passes and regularly attended to our room. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend.
