I made my reservation on the website. The terminal was very easy to get to. The trip to the island was very nice as they offered food and drink while singing Brazilian songs. The Island itself is incredible. I was blown away by its beauty. They also provided a buffet which you had to pay an additional amount for but I didn't mind. The trip back was also great.

Nice day on the boat. Islands was beautiful (Frades with the Church white & blue) , and sea very warm. The restaurant on Itaparica was good. Just we finded the music too high
I had such a truly AMAZING experience on this tour!! The two island stops that we made (the Frades Islands + Itaparica Tour) were just fantastic! The beaches were clean, safe, and featured such pristine waters. Make sure you ask for Mr. Gilmar Soarez. He is THE best tour guide in all of Salvador. Gilmar can arrange tours of the city, too. The could double the price (it was only $18 USD in August 2024) and it would be more than worth it!
Me, my boyfriend and my friend took this trip in February 2024 and all of us absolutely loved it. The vibe was great, live music and bar on the bout, the beaches were great and pretty quiet at this time of the year which was nice. We did a little excursion into one of the island. Our guide and the group were all good fun. Good value for money too. Recommended!
Overall a positive experience. The boat crew was interactive/high energy and the drinks were delicious. The band was good and other patrons sang and danced creating a party atmosphere. The boat ride, views and both islands were beautiful. The buffet was excellent. Negative, requested at booking and was told at window that there would be an English speaking guide. Our guide was not fluent in English. I appreciate that he at least directly communicated meeting location and departure times between islands. There was limited narration, so we didn't miss much information about the bay and islands. Highly recommend if you want nice views, calm beach for swimming, excellent buffet and a fun boat ride.
Would give zero stars if I could. Tour was rescheduled for a different day due to weather. Had been trying to contact tour guide to cancel for a refund but getting no response. Would like my money back since we never did the tour.
It was a wonderful day! I found everything very beautiful and organized, the beaches are very beautiful and the service was not lacking at all. We plan to repeat the dose soon.
I loved the tour, I will definitely do it again, I am simply in love with Ilha dos Frades, without a doubt a very good tour.
Island tours have excellent service! Differentiated care for clients. Loved it! I will come back more often!
Excellent walk. Quality music and great drinks. Super indico, amazing day. I like to want more.
Both beaches are amazing but the experience is tarnished by the organization that leaves much to be desired. Go early because parking is not easy in the port area and between 730 and 800 many excursions leave, which generates chaos to find the one that corresponds since the large number of people add the zero organization of the place. El Itaparica we could only have lunch, we had no time to go down to the beach or to tour the historic center because the landing on that island is not with a dock but with boats that come looking for you and is also very poorly organized. We almost took the same time to disembark as we did to arrive so I recommend that when you are approaching the island you go to the area from where you get off so you can board the boats first. Return to Salvador at the bow of the ship to port. The sun is aft and you can enjoy the journey and the views of the city that is approaching.
Excellent experience! I recommend you take the tour in the second itaparica and bring cash. The restaurant accepts a visa, but the drinks inside the boat, the environmental tax, and local things you want to buy/lease are with pix or cash
Bad walk! You do not receive information about the schedule of activities; Everything is charged separately, including the musical ensemble inside the boat asks 20 reais of each during the tour; In Itaparica who already paid 30 reais to know the island (pay another guide) stays in the restaurant waiting for the return of the group all afternoon until the return to Salvador. The amount paid at the time of registration is basically for “going on the boat” because there is a lot charged separately in the day; The Guides during the excursion, in interaction, show nothing, they speak nothing of historical information. If I had known all this before, I would not have gone.
Good tour, the beaches are wonderful and the food was very good, bayan food is excellent, we enjoy very much
Beautiful everything from the places and the nice energy in the environment. Both on the boat as we went to each destination, where you could enjoy live music. Like the times to stay in each place. It allows you to enjoy the excursion to the fullest without touring in the rush.
The tour itself was very good from the guide to the guidelines passed during the tour, only the service at the Restaurant Manguezal that left to be desired
It was great the ride, I only don't give 5 stars because I thought the part of the ride in Ilha dos Frades could have been a while longer than the next one in Itaparica. Since Ilha dos Frades is a paradise itself.
Excelente atención y servicios...vale la pena hacerla muy completa...recomiendo no perderse ...islas bellas
On boarding they are very punctual and organized. Inside the boat, the staff is well trained, kind, lively and asking. There are fresh fruits that are offered to customers. A well-structured and enthroned musical group brings joy to everyone. We arrived at Frades Island and it really is a unique place. What is shown in the photos, you see personally without image manipulation. The island of Itaparica is another amazing place, calm sea, warm water and beautiful place. The only extremely negative point is the restaurant Manguezal. A buffet is served for R$90. There are options of meals and snacks there. The saloon staff is very untrained and careless. Return to the table several times to confirm the request. There were not many customers making orders, as they chose the buffet. In my case, I ordered a small portion of pastel, which took 40 minutes to arrive, even though the house was empty. I lost an hour between ordering and eating. The venue is well structured, organized and clean, but the saloon staff needs training. Even pq we are not in the summer, in which there is an intense flow. The return was punctual and calm. Once again the team offered joy and kindness. It's too worth the walk.
The tour itself costs 100 reals plus 20 reals of boarding fee; to enter the island, because it is a conservation area, you pay 25 reals more. There is no chair and table service on the island itself, because it is ecologically correct: it is the only destination in Bahia that deserves the Blue Flag! You pay 80 reals for using the umbrella. The island stays for 2 hours, it is perfect for swimming and safe for children. With another 40 min drive you arrive at Itaparica, where you have lunch and stay for 2 hours. From the big boat to the beach you go by small boat; whoever is afraid stays in the big boat. The restaurant there charges 80 reais for the buffet, drinks are not included. From there, you leave at 16h and, depending on the wind and the sea, you arrive at Salvador at 17:30, with the luck to see the sunset of the boat.
Bien organisé. Bonne ambiance. Bon rapport qualité prix. Ça serait bien que vous fassiez une formule tout compris
Tour Isle of the Frades + Itaparica. We negotiated directly with the company (Passeios as Ilhas) at the nautico terminal, when we went to meet the Model Market. Boarding fee per person at the nautique terminal (including child) and environmental fee per person in Frades Island (including child) are charged. I really liked the structure of Frades Island, the village and its decoration are charming. Sorry you ran. A couple of hours. And we went to Itaparica for lunch, and at 2:30 we came back. The boat suffered a lot with the waves on the return, we arrived immersed. I didn't know, but it looks like you can only go to Frades Island. And only for Itaparica. It would be more interesting 1 day at home. With the same company we did a land tour, Praia do Forte and Guarajuba. Where in Praia do Forte with the running time, you can: meet the Tamar Project or dive and take a photo or buggy ride. In Guarajuba, we arrived for lunch and "like" the beach.
I made the Reservation via Trip's website. When we arrived on boarding, the boarding information and values were unfounded. We were greeted by Cleber, an employee of the agency Tours the Islands. The boarding fee costs 20 reals, not 13 as in the Listing. My Reservation was not confirmed with the agency, it was necessary to show all supporting documentation (Reservation, voucher, proof of payment). Cléber, very kind, solved the situation and put us on another boat of a partner agency. In this sense, I do not recommend buying for the trip, look for the agency directly. However, after warranty and execution of the service, we were very satisfied with the tour and services provided.
Acharia melhor fazer o almoço em Ilha dos Frades. Ponto forte: pontualidade. Ponto fraco: tudo frio no buffet de almoço.
An incredible experience, with a trip to the islands of Frades and Itaparica, as well as a very enriching tour, and a wonderful lunch!
Great trip with tour guide, samba with Bahian songs, fruit round. It fulfilled expectations. Departure and return on time.
Conhecer a igreja, a história da ilha, a praia e todo deslocamento de ida e vinda; foram impactantes!
Staff who do everything so that you consume dirty toilets no water to wash your hands on Itaparica Obligation to have lunch in the restaurant where you stay on the beach without an umbrella the restaurant was bad and expensive I I was offered an excursion to go around the island in a non-air-conditioned van and in a pitiful state, we were crammed in and we took a very short tour to the port and the guide had to speak French in fact no I strongly advise against
Wonderful place, well worth visiting! Great and attentive team! It would be better to just remind the regulars about the other little church on Frades Island, unfortunately we only know the one with the panoramic view, but I later discovered that there is another one that I would have loved to have known.
Incredible place... Perfect place... We took the tour with Netto who attended to us and guided us perfectly. We went to Sheila's restaurant which he recommended was lovely...a beautiful view and delicious food.... I definitely recommend it and would definitely go back.
We booked a private tour with Netto from Idf Tours (71) 9 8162 - 8532 and it was unforgettable. Smooth navigation, explains all the stops, we covered the entire island with several wonderful spots, he brings a cooler and speaker to make the tour even more enjoyable, he recommends a wonderful restaurant CANTINHO DA SHEILA. It was simply an incredible day
Wonderful experience the crew and our guide Raimundo are congratulated loved the experience welcoming people
The islands are wonderful, but I felt a little disappointed with the agency on the matter of clarity. On the website, it says that paying for pix (via whatsapp) is R$ 85,00, but only after paying for the trip they informed that they would have a fee of R$ 11,00 to board and another fee on the island of Frades and they did not inform me of the value of this second when I asked by message. They said they'd have fruit included, only drinks and lunch that didn't. Totalizing: R$ 85,00 -> Ticket R$ 11,00 -> Boarding fee in Salvador Fruit -> said the bartender would serve, there were a lot of fruits like strawberries, kiwi, grapes, etc, and the bartender only kept asking about the drinks, when I asked if I could pick up some fruits, he asked to wait for it to serve, to my surprise, they served only once a tray with a few pieces of garlic, mango and melon and it was only once, I was expecting to eat more
That famous tourist takes, pays the ride, but in the end there are always some fees, in itaparica they said there was trapiche to go down, in the end they stopped 200 m from the beach, older people had to go down the water. Horrible band of music, willing to pay to stay quiet. Beach of the Frades is beautiful indeed, but itaparica is a trash.
Restaurante escolhido lá em taparica uma péssima comida não valeu o preço cobrado, sobremesa VERGONHOSA. EMBARCAÇÃO SEM Manutenção, quebrou, nos deixando a deriva
Historic place, hospitable, with beautiful beaches and varied places to enjoy, stir and know. I wish to return soon!
A few comments: The agency has a partnership with the restaurant and lunch costs 60.00. I suggest you take your snacks if you don't want to spend, because we can't find another restaurant there. Most people don't wear masks inside the boat, if you want to protect yourself, I suggest using PFF2 while on the boat. It has a band so it ends up having agglomeration. Bring water. A fee of 25,00 is charged to enter the island of the frades. Can be paid in cash or debit. To use the tents on the beach has a minimum consumption of 30,00. (two beers already gave the 30,00) The tour cost 80,00 per pixel. The band asks for a non-mandatory collaboration of 10,00.
Bad experience. The sea was very agitated and several times we thought the boat would turn. Many people passing badly, praying, waves very high and what was to be a joyful walk became a nightmare. The captain of the ports had issued a warning not to carry out the crossing and yet the boat left putting everyone's life at risk, which I only saw later accessing the Navy site. The Enterprise claims that the Navy warning came out at 12h, but the most prudent thing to do would have given us some option and not face the sea as it was, without directing to put on vest and even the desperate commanders by the situation. Even the guides on board were crying and praying, for at each wave it seemed that the boat was going to turn. I ask for more consideration of the lives of the passengers and awareness of the risks they put us at. People got out of the ambulance ride and straight to the hospital! A real absurd! I don't indicate this walk to anyone. In addition to the sea horror film about the island, we spent more time on the boat than on the beaches.
The tour was cancelled and I was only notified in the evening, after 22:00, on the eve of the scheduled day. I just didn't give a worse score because the Cover called me in the morning and warned. If you'd called me earlier, I could've remarketed.
I loved the tour , all wonderful , music service , entertainment without counting in the paradise that are the islands , Frades wonderful beautiful island , Itaparica paradise, restaurant top.e affordable price for the tour , we will definitely return more times super indico !!
I suggest to make the tour only p/ island of the frades, if you choose to visit the 2 islands will spend a lot of time on the boats, enjoying little of the beaches that without doubt the do Frades is the best and in any option will pay 50,00 per Cover p/ lunch, off drink.
The places are beautiful, but if you can rent a private boat. Do not go on these boat tours. To get to the island of the frades takes 1h30 and to enter has to pay a fee of R$25 that no one warns you and R$30 if you want a sunshine without chairs or converted into consumption (a beer Skol there is R$18,00). Then they take you straight to a restaurant in Itaparica, with super simple buffet and charging R$50.00 per Cover. Totally absurd. You think you’ll save because it’s a “cheap” ride, isn’t it. The feeling I had was that I was being stolen. Nothing is fair by the amount charged. If you're not rich, take a thermal bag with plenty of food and drink
The island of the frades is wonderful, but you spend more time sailing than actually enjoying. We do not indicate Cassi tourism. We had a bad experience. Escrow crowded, passengers without mask, saves lives in terrible conditions, the return delayed in 1 hour. We left the boat at sea for almost an hour, waiting for the other passengers to arrive. Afterwards, the boat had a defect, and still had a passenger smoking inside the boat and throwing ash on the ground, in time to cause fire. Finally, at the time we arrived, the boat leaned on another and started smoking. My mother had a knee problem and had to jump to another boat so we could just climb the stairs. We don't really recommend!
Poor tourism Enterprise! I took the tour with them to the island of the frades and in the midst of the pandemic, the escuna was overcrowded, where me and my boyfriend had no place to sit. This made the experience quite frustrating for us, besides that the trip to the island is informed that it lasts 1h30 but actually took more than 2 hours to go and return. They were delayed at the exit from Salvador and the exit from the island itself, causing crowds Various times throughout the journey. A lot of the people were without masks and crowded inside the scum, had people spit and didn't do anything To my dear travellers: NOT TO APOLONIO TURISMO! You will regret
We went by Luck Tourism and followed the scheduled schedule. The Frades Island is very beautiful. It's a pity the time is short because from there it goes to Itaparica. 1:30 to arrive on the island of Frades and there we stayed less than 2h. Then start the journey to Itaparica which takes 45min more or less. We found running and half agonized the indication to go to a specific restaurant and consume at the buffet pq would not give time to ask a la carte. It would be better just the island of the frades all day. There it is worth it and did not give time to enjoy everything.
Worse experience! The walk is extremely exhausting! You wait 40 minutes to board....then you get into a crowded bowl that can't even sit! How to make a trip of 1 hour and 40 minutes (just that!) on foot?! To make a bunch of poorly educated people scream and drink at 9:00 a.m.! Here you get to the island of the frades and have to pay hands 25,00 to enter! And now, in the midst of the pandemic, he's checking there at the entrance for his temperature! Is it weird? They do this after you make a trip on a loaded boat of 1 hour and 40 minutes. What if someone has fever?! Back?! The delay is so long you have 1 hour left to stay on the island! The shame is not over! There you are not notified by the Enterprise (cited here.... all tour tour tour) that from the island of frades to Itaparica takes another 45 minutes and you stop in the middle of the sea and takes another about 15 minutes to get to the island in a boat (with all the people from escuna together is?). Then you will have lunch and get you to sit where they want and eat what they want claiming that there is no time to ask for a card! We decided to leave on our own! No longer to wait nor the boat leaves at 15:15 and arrive at the end of the day! Don't be wrong!
The operator or trip did not contact me advised how the tour would be. Actually the Service or tour was not done. I need someone to contact me.
If you have conditions rent a private boat share with friends, you would avoid the music to the screams and lack of comfort, even can ask for the boatman to stop at the church of loreto, wonderful
To get to Isla Frades you have to pay access only with reais credit cards are not accepted. In Itaparica if you don’t pay for the 45 reais buffet you have no alternatives to eat.
We liked the tour, due to the beach of calm and crystal clear waters. However, to visit the two islands is well run! We spent a long time picking up people at the hotel. Then we stayed at the terminal for 40 minutes, waiting for boarding. So we arrived at Frades, around 11:30. We stayed short, we embarked onto Itaparica. There, stop for lunch, at the price of 45 Reals per Cover. Meanwhile, the options were fish and seafood. The tent staff did not encourage a la carte requests, saying they would not give time to prepare. Because I'm allergic to seafood, I had to talk a lot to make sunflower with fries. The interesting thing is that there are no other options of places for lunch. Shortly after, 16 hs, we embark again destination Salvador! Maybe the tour to only one of the islands is better!!!!!
