Very nice day, well organized, easy communication with the team and the guide before the day tonset-up the meeting point. Really fantastic ! If you stay in Salvadory, this day will give you a different feeling with lovely beach and resort.
Great experience, good value and well organised. Lots of shops in the resort area and the seafood restaurant was fab
Great tour, definitely recommended, our Guide “Fito" from "Fort Trip" was really good, knowledgeable and flexible… we had a group of 8 guys plus other people and he managed well!
Great experience, definitely recommended, guide was knowledgeable friendly and helpful! Well day spent!
Great experience with the tour agency, very prompt with timing, well organised and lots of stunning sites, guide did a great job translating in 3 languages
Very friendly tour guide and great amount of options. We were picked up at the hotel, and made our way around to pick up everyone else. During this time we were given multiple options. At our first stop: snorkeling, a buggy tour, and project Tamar. You can do all three but we chose to do two. Highly recommend getting some ice cream and spending some time looking around the shops outside of project Tamar. Also LOVED the buggy tour. Next stop we got food at a restaurant, did some swimming and shopping in the area!
Excellent tour. The guide was very helpful and the day was very well organised. I enjoyed the experiences offered and the beautiful locations.
We spent more time on the bus than actually doing activities. You literally pay for them to take you to the beach since the tour doesn’t include anything. The suggested activities were expensive and not really worth it- I did the buggy and projecto TAMAR (nice it you come with kids). The restaurant was also kinda expensive and the whole experience felt rushed. Unfortunately can’t recommend this is absolutely something you can do on your own. Felt like a class field trip.
We spent more time on the bus than actually doing any activities. You basically pay a fee for them to drive you to and from the beach. For all the other activities you pay separately, I did the buggy and TAMAR both underwhelming, TAMAR could be nice for kids. Both activities are pricey and not really worth it. The restaurant was good but expensive. The whole experience feels rushed. Tula the guide was super nice and welcoming. Unfortunately can’t remember
I was a little weary because I saw a few negative reviews that said most of this excursion being in the bus. I am extremely glad I decided to go anyway. While I do think there is room for things to be timed out differently, I had an INCREDIBLE time and I'm going to book another excursion with this company. The guide was able to give the tour in English, Portuguese and Spanish, which is no small feat, and he was able to attend to everyone's needs. It was impressive to watch and I felt like I was getting a high standard of customer service the entire time. My friend and I had an amazing time and I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
I researched for a long time to be able to find this tour operator. I only found them with the help of my guide in Recife! It is so hard to find English speaking guides!!! First, I contacted one of the owner, Vanessa Almeida. She runs the business with her brother Igor. As we were in port only until 3pm, I decided to organize a 4-hour tour. It was their “typical” tour so we could see the “must” attractions. I posted on CC and as it was a good quality/price excursion, we were a group of 50! 2 buses of 25 cruisers with a capacity of 30 and with a bathroom. Salvador is VERY nice and you will not be disappointed. Both guides (Gabriel and Ariel Veloso) were excellent English speakers. It is difficult to find good English speaking guides in Brazil so be aware!!!! So we were all very happy. Vanessa was a darling to work with even if she speaks only Portuguese… I collected all monies from the cruisers on the ship so it was easy for payment. Suggestion: to keep the cost of the excursion as low as possible, form a group through your roll call. This is how we ended up being 2 groups of 25. I love to give back so it is why I don’t mind not maximizing the size of my groups to 15 (for example). I know if more people are joining the excursion then, more money will end up in the pocket of the tour operator! I have been blessed by being born in Canada so now I must give back. First, the positive: Our tour guide Fito was fantastic – friendly, humorous, and always trying to make the day more enjoyable. Unfortunately, that was the only memorable highlight of this tour. The biggest issue: The tour description gives the impression of a relaxing bus trip where you get to discover authentic Brazil. In reality, you’re simply shuttled from one tourist trap to the next. The supposedly relaxing ride along the “Coconut Road” to Praia do Forte turned into a two-hour tour of Salvador to pick up other passengers, followed by an additional 1.5-hour drive to the actual destination. That’s 3.5 hours of travel one way – and if you do the math, you’ll realize that the same route must be taken back. In total, that means 7 hours on the bus for just 5 hours at the ddstinations. Of this lenghty route, nothing is mentioned in tje description. But hey, i ordered a bustrip and I got one I guess... At the first destination, Praia do Forte, we expected a charming Fisherman’s Village - as described. Instead, we found a tourist strip full of overpriced restaurants, souvenir shops, and pushy promoters. Another major downside: no one at the location spoke English – unacceptable for a place so heavily focused on tourism. Even more disappointing were the activities offered during the bus ride by our tour guide. Believing these were organized highlights of our booked tour, we opted for the snorkeling activity and the TAMAR sea turtle project. While the TAMAR project was fine and seemed legitimate, the “snorkeling” experience was a complete joke. It involved sitting in 20 cm of shallow water with a snorkel mask, watching a few fish swim by – something that can hardly be called snorkeling. In hindsight, it became clear that these activities were overpriced promoter offerings that no one would normally consider, had they not been sold on the bus by our tour guide himself. The second stop in Guarajuba was equally disappointing. Although the beach was beautiful, the two-hour stay was far too short to enjoy it properly. The “excellent seaside restaurant” turned out to be a basic tourist joint with plastic chairs, bright neon decorations, and once again, no English-speaking staff. To top it off, three people in our group later suffered from stomach issues – while we can’t say for sure if it was due to the food, there’s reason to suspect it. Conclusion: This tour promises an authentic experience but delivers nothing more than a typical mass tourism shuttle with overpriced, misleading add-ons. Language barriers, poor logistical organization, and the stark contrast between the advertised description and the actual experience made this tour a major disappointment. If you’re looking to discover the real Brazil, this tour isn’t for you. The only saving grace: our wonderful guide Fito.

Fantastic trip! Definitely recommended to anyone who wants to experience great views and support animal conservation.
This is a very nice tour, taking you away from busy Salvador. Perfect to discover the other side of the Bahia. It was a perfect day, very well organised. I was picked up at the exact time I was given, the bus was comfortable and the guide, Tiago, was great. Not only he can speak English (and Spanish) but he actually did make the effort to explain everything in English ☺️ he was extremely helpful ☺️ The 2 stops are great and well timed. I loved Praia de Forte with the turtles sanctuary and fabulous shopping. The beach is amazing. I had a great time in Guarajuba, going away from the busy area with the restaurants. I do recommend to have lunch there. The food looked awesome, even if i didn’t (I prefered the beach 🏖️ to the food) Thank you for the special drop off, which made it possible for me make and enjoy the tour.
Pavarotti was a great guide, spoke good English and was very informative. Pick up was easy and WhatsApp communication good. The visit to turtles was amazing and the snorkeling was fun, the sea was very warm and the beach was lovely. The second stop was very pretty beach with amazing seafood restaurant. The shrimp in pineapple was one of our favourite dishes whilst we have been here. Thank you Wendy & Mark
Nice beaches and good transfer. There wasn’t enough beach buggies to accommodate everyone in the tour and communication wasn’t very smooth.
Perfect way to spend the day. Great by Jody’s and extremely well organized You get plenty of alone time to do as you wish
Enjoyed a perfect day. Very well organized and you have a lot of alone time to do as you please Great hosts!!! Only positive !!
We spent five hours in a bus as opposed to enjoying more time at Praia do Forte e Guarajuba. Far too many pick ups all over the city. We've Benn told to be ready at 7.20am and ended up arriving ar Praia do Forte which is 60km away from Salvador at 10.30am. It feels to me that they just want to take as many passengers as possible regardless of the area they are staying. Very disappointing service.
Great beach and excellent food. Went on the optional buggy ride but would not recommend it if you are looking for adventure. The turtle conservation centre was interesting and worth a visit.
The experience was great. The hotel pickup was very convenient and both the driver and the guide Thiago were very nice, friendly and respectful and with great content on the history and location. The morning time at Praia do forte was a bit rushed (I decided to do both snorkeling and Tamar project), but if only one is chosen then it would have been more relaxed. The snorkeling activity was okay, not entirely happy with the pictures I was sent and they should perhaps organise it better because other people on the way kept scaring all the fish when I was had my pictures taken. The Tamar project was very nice with a 40 min guided tour. Praia de Guarajuba was beautiful and we spend there about 3h. The facilities were very nice and pleasant too (see pictures added).
The tour guide was very nice, and the sights were beautiful. The bus was spacious. Only tip, maybe include snacks/meals.
I think you'll find, my reviews are balanced and informative, so I've never said this about a travel provider or excursion before: This one is irredeemably AWFUL. The logistics of this trip make absolutely no sense except to line the pockets of a money-grubbing tour operator. Ultimately, while the Tamar project was interesting and the ice cream at Praia do Forte delicious, the beach at Guarajuba was just so-so by our standards and the restaurant there was more touristy than tasty, and there really wasn't a lot of educational information such that the "guiding" provided much additional value. So I would probably give only a moderately-positive or mediocre review even if the logistic had been wonderful... and they absolutely were not. We understood this excursion to be 8 hours long. I even contacted the company in advance to confirm the departure time and tour length so we could safely book evening plans, but they never provided a clear answer. But when we were told pick-up would be before 7am, I figured we were safe to make dinner plans (spoiler alert - we were not). We were picked up in the Pelourinho neighborhood at 6:45 a.m, and then proceeded to drive around for MORE THAN 2 HOURS picking up other passengers (we were the 2nd pick-up of maybe 20?). We picked up the last passenger, still in Salvador, at 9:05 am and then BEGAN the 1.5 hr trip to Praia do Forte. Our guide, Vladamir was oblivious for awhile, but once he understood our frustration and our evening conflict, he did what he could to help. We were the only English-speakers on the tour of at least 30 (so no fast-friends made from commiserating), but Vlad's English was excellent, and I believe his recaps for us were complete. And he was apologetic that we had not been given clear information about the trip logistics and seemed to share our dismay about how much of the day consisted of hotel pick-ups. Unfortunately, he also confirmed that the order of drop-offs would be in reverse so if we stayed with the tour, we would waste another 2+ hours at the end of the trip before arriving back to our accommodations. He offered to help us arrange alternate transportation (at our cost), but at the end of the day, we had the bus drop us off as soon as we got back into Salvador (near the mall and airport) and we took an Uber back to our accommodation (the best ~USD5 we spent that day) to save us the 2+ hours of driving around. We still missed our dinner reservation, but thankfully made it to the theater performance that followed.
It is a worthwhile tour for the price, including a great tour guide. Visiting the turtles is a highlight as well as the beaches.
The operator cancelled the tour in the early hours of the morning, supposedly because of the weather but I didn’t understand this reason as the weather was fine. It was too last-minute to book another tour so it was essentially a wasted day of holiday
The experience is very bad They offered us snorkeling outside of the schedule (it was 4 little fish near the coast that they were feeding and they crowded into a single place) the Kamar reserve should have told me they hardly have any turtles in the ponds, they should have warned me and I would have gladly donated the price of admission for their preservation Afterward they took us to have lunch at Guaratuya beach, supposedly a restaurant, but it was 2 immense sheds full of crowded tables and the beach lacked umbrella and lounge chair rentals It was a horrible experience I always travel with Civitatis, I don't know if the local one is the same agency but I do not recommend them
The tour and the guide Laurindo were very good
Tour with Cassi Tourism, great at everything, I recommend
Although the tour was OK, the amount paid of R$ 200.00 per person was essentially for the transfer (discourse), since ALL is paid separately. Additional paid activities are recommended that do not give the tourist time, for example, to enjoy the beach or the limpinhas promenade of the centre of Praia do Forte. The lunch is also a scheme where dishes for two people can reach R$ 350.00 in the only restaurant available. A pick-up tourist. Go from Uber to Praia do Forte where you will pay less!
It was good, but the beach time is too short for those who visit the Tamar project... could have had an hour more.
Very nice tour, interesting visit to Tamar project and then free time on Guarajuba beach
Cute tour, only very short stay in Praia do Forte, the place did not get to enjoy it when going to Tamar and snorkeling, there was no time for anything. The stop in Guarajuba has no additional value.
Paseo was wonderful, the guide Tiago and the super attentive driver, wonderful place. We were given several tips to make the most of the trip.
Good beaches, but no public bathroom, if you go to use a bathroom you have to buy something in some trade. Place of very expensive things on the beach of the fort.
The tour was very pleasant and punctual, the guide Tiago was very attentive and attentive.
The experience was very good. The guide was very friendly and good people and introduced all the places we passed. In addition, correctly followed the boarding and landing times. It was, really, a very good experience.
The guide and the driver were super attentive and very friendly throughout the trip, we loved the tour and the curiosities during the transport. Lunch points and very interesting activities, I only expected more from snorkeling, but it was fun anyway.
To flee... tourist trap!!! Apart from the FITO guide who was pretty nice the rest sucks. After 2h30 bus to go 80 kilometers you will find yourself in the former fishing village Praia do Forte transformed into a marina for tourists. The visit to the so-called turtle protection park is no more or less a zoo for turtles, sharks that end up in swimming pools. All explanations are in Brazilian nothing in English. It's getting worse in MARINELAND in Antibes. The rest of the day is no better. After another 30 minutes bus tour you arrived in Guarajuba. Overcrowded seaside resort with beach restaurants piled up on top of each other and poor or even inedible food in addition to waiting 2 hours to have a dish. Return set at 3:30 pm and it started again for 2:30 or even 3 hours with traffic jams on arrival from Salvadore. Basically, I advise against this activity!
It was excellent! Especially the destination of Praia do forte. The only pity is that because of the traffic we couldn't be on the beach that long
Very polite and punctual....................................................................
Excellent walk. Guide Thiago very helpful. Wonderful lugarees and clear information. Excellent punctuality.
Very good walk. Beautiful beaches. Do not forget to dive with snorkeling and visit the Tamar Project. It's very worth it. The place indicated for lunch very good as well. We adore
I highly recommend the walk to the strong beach very well worth it. We know the project of tamar we dive our natural.
Fantastic experience and very experienced guide, beautiful beaches, I highly recommend. It is also worth visiting the Tamar Project turtles.
It was very cool, excellent experience. Beautiful beach of the fort, very worth seeing. Project Tamar was sensational
We like the walk. We went through the hotels to pick up the other guests. The guide speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. First we went to the beach of Fort. We saw the turtles. And a paid ride apart. Those who do not want can walk on the beach or restaurants and shops. After that we went to Guarajuba where there are several restaurants on the beach. I'd hire that Enterprise again. It was worth it!
Very complimentary in the schedules, Spanish and Portuguese, Thiago guide was very friendly. In general it is recommended at a reasonable cost
Guide and driver very nice and accommodating, I recommend! We had a very good day! In addition, very pleasant vehicle
