About Activity
Your 8-hour tour begins with a hotel pickup and a drive to the Barra district, home to historic landmarks and a residential waterfront neighborhood. We'll then explore the Pelourinho, South America's largest colonial architecture complex and a UNESCO Heritage site. After parking near the Lacerda Elevator, you can enjoy the stunning view of the bay. Next, we'll walk through the lively streets of Pelourinho, admiring pastel-colored buildings and soaking in the city's vibrant energy. Our final stop before lunch includes the São Francisco church and the Pelourinho square, the heart of the old town. Before visiting the next part of town, we'll make a stop for lunch where you can pick the restaurant of your choice (not included in the price).
After lunch, discover a different side of the city on the Lower City tour. See the Tororo Lagoon with its impressive candomblé orixas statues, the Arena Fonte Nova football stadium, and the peaceful Itapagipe Peninsula. Watch fishermen and shellfish collectors, visit the iconic Sorveteria da Ribeira ice cream parlor, and enjoy a panoramic view of the bay and city from the Monserrat district. The tour ends at the Mercado Modelo, a thriving market for local artifacts and souvenirs.
