About Activity
After our transfer from the hotel to the docks, we’ll board a comfortable schooner and set off to visit two of the 36 islands in this sparkling bay. This tour is perfect for a day of rest and relaxation and we’ll have fantastic views of the city on the journey. Our first stop will be on Frades (or Monk's) Island. Virtually uninhabited, it is home to some of the best beaches in the bay. We’ll have ample time to swim in the warm inviting waters or relax in the sun or the shade, and a cold drink will never far away! Then we’ll head to the larger island of Itaparica for lunch. The colonial town is just a short distance on public transport from our lunch spot, for anyone who is interested in visiting this charming waterfront town (optional). Towards the end of the afternoon we’ll return to the schooner and set off back to Salvador, the sun setting and flooding the city with a golden light. Duration: approximately 8 hours
