The sights were awesome! There are so many great things to say about the trip as well as a few observations that I think will be helpful to fellow travelers. First, our driver was excellent on challenging terrain. This is not to be undervalued! Next, our tour guide, Monserrat, was lively, informative, available, and achieved just the right balance between sharing fun facts about the region and quiet time. The Mercedes Benz van was reliable but definitely dated inside. We were seven adults and because we were picked up last, we occupied the last row of the van which was VERY tight to say the least. I definitely would still go on this trip again despite the crowded travel conditions and long trip. I would have preferred to have more time at Salinas Grandes (we had forty minutes) to take pictures etc since that was the primary reason for the outing. The professional guides taking pictures at the Salt Flats were awesome and fun!! We definitely would’ve spent more time there if permitted. It definitely felt rushed as you had to wait in line for photos. Two of my adult daughters got sick - one on the ride down from Salinas Grandes to Pumamarca and that was tricky. The other got altitude sickness. Of course this is no fault of the operators but if I were to go again I would definitely bring Sea Bands and/or Dramamine and some extra plastic bags just in case. It was awesome seeing the different topography of the Northwest. When you get to Pumamarca they have made reservations for you for lunch which was kind of them to do. We did have a little too much time in the town (2 hours 15 minutes) where I think some of that time would’ve been better spent at Salinas Grandes. Don’t forget sunscreen and that you burn quickly at the Salt Flats. Overall, it was a great, if not long, travel day and I would definitely recommend the trip!!!

After a bit of a miscommunication when booking I found the tour to be my favourite while in salta. Both for the content (views) and professionally managed (great guide and tour operator was very good to help me with something I left on the bus). Highly recommend.
For those who are interested in the word "trekking", please do not sign up. Because this did not happen. The tour itself was well conducted by a kind and knowledgeable guide. Very well organized throughout the day. The day for me went smoothly and was pleasant until I realized my itinerary was different from other participants. No one out of 15 participants was signed up for trekking. I asked my tour guide and he did not even recognize I signed up for something different, and advised me to make a claim to the original tour company I purchased the ticket for. I explained what happened: no trekking after all and realized I paid triple the cost of what other participants paid. I whatssup'ed them but they told me they refunded 20 USD. I asked why it happened (coz I really don't care about the money but more end to end experience). However the answer I got was utterly disappointing and unprofessional - "We understand and apologize! We will also issue a partial refund. We hope that next time you will be more satisfied with our services" Put the blame on the operator who did a fantastic job and did not know what I signed up for. I don't blame what happened, but I am extremely disappointed with how they handled it afterward. Please do not sign up for this company. Period.
DO NOT BOOK! This travel agency is stealing your hard-earned money and time! I found out the hard way, after taking their tour and speaking with several other passengers, that this travel agency is charging nearly 4X what this tour costs. What’s more, is that they’re doing this with all of their tours! Save your money and time and book directly with the travel company they use, Nordic Travel Argentina. A quick google search with their name will reveal their company and they’re charging a mere $37,000pesos/$37USD to do this tour and MANY MORE! Nordic Travel did a great job for the tour, only after this vendor blindsided us and swindled us outside of Viator’s platform, and used WhatsApp to tell us that they had to cancel our initial Salinas Grande tour and then conned us into buying a cheaper tour at a HIGHER cost! Book direct with Nordic Travel and save the hassle and hardship of having to deal with this middleman and paying over 4 TIMES the cost of what this tour is really worth. Plus, you will directly support the local company that actually runs this tour by booking through them directly! :)
Amazing site, great tour guide. It is a must see. The table is made out of sat, the benches ... the buildings ... salt blocks
We enjoyed the tour, and the guide had good English and knowledge of the area. We did have a small mishap as one of the individuals joining the tour missed the bus in the morning. We were told we'd wait five minutes (on the side of the highway) for them to arrive by cab. We probably waited closer to 20 minutes and had another delay at a police checkpoint. Overall the tour was good, but I would have preferred not lose about 30 minutes between the missing tourist and the police checkpoint. These are already long days to go and return, and you don't want to waste more time sitting in a bus. If it weren't for the delays, this tour would have been excellent.
Salta salt flats are something spectacular, worth doing 1 time and appreciate that beauty. Always accompanied by the 2 guides, very friendly and constantly helping and answering our doubts. Super I recommend this experience
Excellent! For problems outside them and us, a truck overturned on the route, we did not reach Salinas, we contacted and were very friendly and attentive, so happy!!. Super recommended

I loved knowing the large salt flats, a salty paradise, cute for taking photos, and it is part of the Purmamarca landscape and its famous mountain of 7 colors. Not to be missed in the northern holidays
On the same vacation trip we went to see Salta, we took the tour of Salinas and Calafate. It was great. The service is highly recommended. Punctual and quality. Do it
I was lucky enough to meet some guys on my trip to Salta who were going on this excursion, and I joined their group... I loved the salt flats, it is a salt desert, incredible. The landscapes that can be seen there and along the way are spectacular. I also really liked purmamarca. This place is worth knowing. Thanks to the agency for the good attention they gave me, I felt safe the entire trip. And thanks also for the walks in Mendoza!

I was with my group of friends traveling through northern Argentina, and we were able to visit Salta, Jujuy and Misiones. We booked with the agency based on the comments they had, and they did not fail. They fulfilled everything, the attention, the quality of the service, they made us enjoy a beautiful afternoon
A subida da montanha é às gotos sobre o manto de sal. Estes foram os pontos altos da nossa visita ao local salinas grandes de Jujuy
It was wonderful to take this tour with the Paraviajantes agency, we felt comfortable at all times. The guides are geniuses, we couldn't have had a better time. Thanks Guido for your advice
We went a month ago with a friend and we had an incredible time! The salt flats are a magical place and from the first moment we booked the tour with Guido we perceived his warmth and attention! They picked us up at the scheduled time and the guide was a genius!! Exceeded our expectations, 100% recommended.
Beautiful experience lived in Salta! The landscapes, the knowledge of the guide, the companions we had during the excursion, made us have a great time. Beautiful large salt flats
Excellent Everything! We went with my partner and everything was wonderful! Incredible attention from the Staff, the tour, everything spectacular! incredible landscapes! Super recommended! Many successes!
I loved this tour, the service and attention were very good, they answered all my questions. Also, the group that I played was very fun, everyone was very cool. The places are incredible, take lots of photos and videos. Without a doubt, I would repeat the tour again.
The experience was excellent, the impeccable service, the guide and the excursion to Purmamarca and Salinas Grandes exceeded our expectations. We took a lot of photos and were able to enjoy lunch in Purmamarca, which we really liked. I recommend taking this tour with the paraviajantes agency.
I loved the tour to the salt flats from the first moment to the last. The guides are very knowledgeable. A lot of pictures. Excellent
Thank you Guido for the attention of the tour! I recommend the agency! We had a great time with the whole family!
Because of the presidential elections, we had to follow a guide who only spoke Spanish. We were not able to make the most of the comments given our lack of knowledge of the language. However, the scenery was magnificent. The downtime at different stages was adequate. Very good communication with the agency manager. He reacts very quickly. It should be noted that he suggested that we change the date of our tour in order to have the English-speaking guide. Unfortunately, this was not possible for us.
I traveled with friends to visit Salta and we fell in love with the city... we took the tour with the agency and everything was excellent, from the service before and during the trip, the quality of the transportation and compliance with schedules both on the way there and on the way. return. I recommend taking the tours with the agency. Thank you
Very cute and very economical Plenty to go around and buyrrrr And we rented a motorcycle 🏍️ to tour
this walk is highly recommended to go if you travel to jump.... they take you to know the beautiful large salt flats, ideal to take many photos, then we met the village of purmamarca where we had lunch!!! we liked it very much!! we love the Argentine north!!!
This tour is ideal for getting to know tulum and not being all the day. Being with little ones, it makes a full day excursion very tedious. We really liked this visit, and I recommend it to do as a family!
