Tour To Cachi From Salta

We booked the trip with Parada Norte Travel which was easy and a very helpful team. The trip was amazing and the staff, Fer and Lu, couldn't have been more helpful. lots to see loads to learn, thank you.

The tour overall was great and we saw some truly stunning landscapes. The driver did an amazing job on some very difficult roads. However, I can only give 4 stars to this tour because of the awful restaurant recommendation for our stop in Cachi by the tour operator. We were sat at a dirty table which was not cleaned for about 20 minutes. It took a similar amount of time for our order to be taken and after that we had to wait a further 25 minutes just to get some drinks. So a 45 minute wait to get a glass of water after an exhausting 4 hour drive. The food situation was not much better. Whilst they brought the food quickly half the menu was not available. Out of the four dishes we had ordered from what was available it then turned out one wasn't available either. This was a plain tortilla. What kind of restaurant runs out of eggs and potatoes? The food that arrived was alright but nothing special. We were upset at the situation because the tour operator had specifically recommended this place and the service we received was terrible. Walking around town afterwards there appeared to be several far more appealing restaurants.

Great day trip to Cachi with beautiful scenery all along the way! Flor Mendoza was a lovely and informative guide, and Francisco was an excellent driver, especially on those winding mountain roads. Everything was well organized and we really enjoyed the day. Highly recommended! 🌵⛰️

It was a interesting trip, the nature was fantastic. The mountain chain impressive. Maybe just a little long journey, but there is nothing to do about that.

The Cachi tour was very beautiful and our guide was very informative and explained each sop and area in detail. Every stop offered a completely different landscape—from dramatic mountain roads and endless cactus fields in Los Cardones National Park to the charming colonial town of Cachi. Enjoyed a lovely lunch with humita and stuffed peppers and strolled around the town. The scenery changed constantly, making the drive enjoyable and interesting. Loved stopping at the local spice market, where we could browse regional herbs, spices, and handmade products. Tried a variety of cheese and sausages. It was a nice way to see the culture and meet very nice people. If you’re looking for a day filled with breathtaking views, unique landscapes, and authentic local culture, this tour is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Very smooth and well organised - thanks to Flor

Overall the tour is very good and parada Norte company is very reliable (I took 3 tours with them). BUT this road, especially to Cachi is so scenic that after the tour I am going to rent a car and drive it myself. Being squeezed in a van with other people and stopping more for shopping then for sightseeing is not the same experience if you drive it at your own pace. Cachi road is really beautiful, perhaps my favorite from all in Salta.

This experience was fabulous! The drive to Cachi is absolutely gorgeous and we had multiple opportunities to stop and take photos. What really made the trip though was our guide, Luciana. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable and gave the tour in both English and Spanish, but she also helped me figure out the logistics of the rest of my trip after the tour was over. She was incredibly helpful, and I appreciate the fact that she went above and beyond to help me and other travelers out. She is incredibly kind and bubbly and made the experience that much better.

It was a long trip but definitely worth it. The tour guides was very friendly and he had a huge knowledge.

It was the only way for us to go to Cachi, and the guide was friendly, but the day was just too rushed. The tour says 20 min stop in Cardones national park, which would already be very short, but we were told to get back on the bus after less than 10 minutes outside. We stopped far longer in stores where you were encouraged to buy salami and cheese. I totally understand supporting local communities, but with the national park stop being cut short, I found this frustrating. The town is nice to see, but I wouldn't really recommend the tour.

We were collected by a mini bus from our hotel at 7am so it was a small group. This was the second tour we did with this company and again were not disappointed. Our guide Majo was great. Full of energy and interesting information. She also spoke excellent english!! She did everything to ensure we had a good time. The trip itself was great. It's a long day 7am - 7.30pm but well worth it. The scenary is spectacular. We had great weather so were very lucky, but there was heavy rain up in the mountains, so on the way back, a ford that we crossed in the morning flooded . it held us up for about 20 minutes until one of the cars in front was brave enough to cross which was a signal for everyone to follow.

Excellent tour guided by lovely Majo Galvan who is attentive and informative. I enjoyed this tour very much especially Los Cardones. Cachi is also lovely. Highly recommend this trip!

Long journey with some lovely scenery 2 hours to wander around the town which was nice - encouraged to go into a restaurant but there are others to choose from

A fabulous tour with amazing scenery. It's long with a lot of time in the bus but the landscape is incredible with jungle and then Cactus and high desert. Cachi is a nice little town to wander around and we had a good lunch there. We also saw Condor and Guanacos. Gabriela was an excellent guide, informative and entertaining and Joaquín drove pretty challenging Roads brilliantly.

Long ride but worth it!! Los Cardones National Park fascinating! As well as all the other cactuses on the way! Great scenery! Monica, our guide, was very knowledgeable and described things interestingly! A passenger’s complaint was solved by her easily with great verve!

I’ve done the tour with Franco and can only recomendable you to book with him of you have the possibility ! He’s humour make the all difference on the tour !

We were very much looking forward to this tour, and we’re certainly not disappointed by the scenery and the itinerary. The tour was advertised as both Spanish and English. Our two bus driver and guide, Rafael, was excellent, providing a constant stream of information about the history, culture, geography, and flora and fauna that we were seeing from the bus. On top of this, he was personable, funny, and engaged the crowd in song multiple times during the trip. The only downside… He only spoke Spanish, and the English “translator” that accompanied him on this tour had a very, very limited English vocabulary. Unfortunately that really took away from our overall experience.

Town of Cachi is small, but cute but it is the scenery along the way that makes it exceptional!!!...sub jungle scenery, cactus forests, red rocks, green and even a glimpse of snow capped peaks. Great stops along the way for viewing, pic and artisan purchases. Lots of guanacos along the way and a few foxes . Small group of 15 was great and we had a super driver. Long day but SO woth it !!

This was an excellent full-day tour, made truly memorable by the guide, Abel, and our driver, Eduardo. Abel is extraordinarily knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the region. He shared history, geology, culture, and indigenous perspectives with clarity, humor, and real pride. He connected easily with everyone in the group, created a welcoming atmosphere, and clearly cared that each person had a meaningful experience. His depth of knowledge and personal presence elevated the entire day well beyond a standard sightseeing tour. Eduardo was an equally important part of the experience. He drove safely, confidently, and smoothly through long distances, mountain roads, and changing conditions. I felt completely secure the entire day, which matters enormously on a tour like this. The itinerary was beautiful and well-paced, but it was the human element that made it exceptional. Abel and Eduardo are a fantastic team. I would absolutely recommend this tour and would happily travel with them again.

This tour to Cachi was exactly as described in the itinerary. Everything went smoothly, without any unexpected issues or extra charges. The schedule, stops and overall organisation matched the tour description, which made the experience relaxed and enjoyable. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and the visit to Cachi itself was well worth it.

The tour was ok, the driver was good, and the guide was friendly and informative. We covered a lot of miles in the minibus, and the variety of scenery was very interesting.

Amazing and fun experience! Visited beautiful places and the guide Joaquin was kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended if you are in Salta! Just a note: bring sunscreen because the sun in this area is no joke!

Absolutely fantastic two day tours to Cafayate and Cachi, both tours had brilliant guides Sergio and Ignacio, the tour guides were very patient and kind to speak fluent English to my girlfriend and I. Both tour guides were full of knowledge and made the day very enjoyable. Please try book both tours with this company as the nature is amazing for both areas. Fully recommend!

Everything was excellent from the start. Agustín Lopez setting up the WhatsApp group and notifying minute by minute who he was picking up. From there, everything went smoothly. Victor is a seasoned driver, super necessary on the Cuesta del Obispo. The times were exactly as agreed. Agustín's guide was pleasant, fun, and knowledgeable.

Excellent experience. The translator Abel is very good, impressive what he knows, how attentive he is to the needs of each passenger. On the other hand, I want to highlight the good duo he makes with his fellow driver Gustavo. Tomorrow we will go to Cafayate. I hope we get them again

Great team Flor Mendoza as Guide and Francisco, her driver. Florencia's knowledge of the history, the terrain, and her explanations were spectacularly precise and clear. In addition, her command of English is perfect so the international passengers are happy too! For his part, Fran made the trip super comfortable and without any jolts from potholes on the road, haha. We spent a beautiful day with Florencia W, very clear in telling us about the history and geography of the place, kind and warm in her attention, always attentive to each member of the group. Together with the driver Fernando Rodriguez who is also very kind and attentive, they made it a unique experience. Without a doubt, on future visits to Salta we already know where and who to ask for excursions.
