One Day Tour Of Cachi And Calchaquí Valleys From Salta

I went to Cachi with Nordic travel. Antonio was the driver and Angie was our guide. Angie spoke excellent English, very friendly and took good care of me! Thank you very much!

We did all the excursions with this company in both Salta and Iguazu and it was amazing and perfectly everything. Punctual, excellent guides and always predisposed to help in everything. Thank you for making us have a wonderful vacation. Greetings from England.

<p>This was a fantastic and memorable day. Our lovely guide Jeremy spoke English, French and Spanish so we were fine. We were impressed at the extent of his knowledge of the area: flora. fauna, geology, economics, history etc. The landscapes were really spectacular and Jeremy made sure we stopped at the most advantageous spots to take photos. Super lunch in Cachi at recommended restaurant La Esquina, where the quinoa risotto was delicious. Top tip: take plenty of layers and a sun hat: huge temperature range and really hot in Cachi. We loved this day.</p>

<p>Leo, our driver and Pablo, our guide made sure we got there and back safely and that we were informed of the history of the part of Salta Province we travelled through, as well as geological facts and facts that are local history. Pablo tried his best to keep us informed in Spanish as well as also catering for two French ladies in French.In Cachi he made sure we were served a simple and yet ample and delicious lunch. Pablo really made us feel we should see more, as there is so much more to see on RN 40 Ruta Nacional 40 . Nordic Travel is a company that I would highly recommend for any tours exploring the scenic beauty of Salta and Jujuy Provinces. They are professional and reliable. Thank you Leo and Pablo and my fellow excursionists, for most enjoyable day out in glorious nature.</p>

<p>The tour was excellent. A fairly large group and I was the only English speaking person on the trip. The guide was friendly and his English was very good. He had me sit up front so he could provide the commentary to me easily after he spoke to the others in Spanish. The scenery is spectacular and the stops and photo ops along the way were good.</p>

<p>This is a superb tour. It is a long day, but, worthwhile. <br/> The guide was excellent, with excellent English. There are many stops which are of a good duration.<br/> There are many good things to see and do on the tour and the price is very reasonable.<br/> The only minor problem with tours in the area is that there is no specific pick up time. You have to call up one or two days before to confirm the tour - which surely should be unnecessary since you have paid for it - and you are given a time between 7.00 and 7.40, which means you have to be ready a long time before pick up, especially since the buses tended to arrive late.</p>

<p>Great tour. Highly professional and very informative guide. Lots of stops on the way up, with time to take photos. Comfortable bus, good price. As others have said: you might want to go eat lunch in Salta itself, say at one of the restaurants a few minutes walk down the main street itself -- though my parilla at the restaurant recommended by the guide was fine. As always in Argentina, not much concession is made to non-Spanish speakers though the guide's spanish was exceptionally clear, and could be understood with my limited spanish.</p>

The experience to Cachi with the agency Nordic Travel, was wonderful. I want to highlight the excellent preparation of JAZMIN, our guide, contributing a lot of knowledge about the place, in addition to friendliness and charisma, and the handling of MIGUEL, our driver, who knew how to drive very safely on a winding road, with many curves and while it was raining. Totally grateful.

Sergio the guide was excellent, he knows a lot and was very kind despite a couple of slightly annoying passengers, very attentive and helpful. We had an excellent tour. The place is beautiful with markets to buy spices and souvenirs

Our guide, Martín from the Nórdica travel agency, was very bad. He made us feel uncomfortable with his explanations: there were 4 Spaniards in the group and he spent much of the way explaining the gruesome details of the colonization of the Spanish: how they tortured, dismembered and beheaded the indigenous people and many other anecdotes that conveyed hatred towards the Spanish. We are from Spain and we do not justify any violent act, but the rest of the Argentine passengers on our bus did not know this, so we felt very violated with gratuitous explanations that conveyed anger towards the Spanish, and were unnecessary and had nothing to do with it. see with the objective of the excursion.

The experience with Nordic was horrible. I went on the tour alone and the guide simply forgot me at the second stop to Cachi, a cold and cloudy place, better known as Cuesta del Obispo. Luckily I managed to get a ride with another tour agency until Nordic realized their mistake. It is a serious failure for such a well-known company.

Excellent excursion. Everything was perfect. Pablo is an excellent guide, he informs very well, guides and recommends, always very willing and in a very good mood, we laughed the entire trip. Cachi is beautiful and the road is spectacular. Without a doubt I recommend it!

Today we went with my wife and 2 children to take this tour and it was truly excellent. Both Martin the guide and Jorge the driver were very well treated and really made the tour an unforgettable experience for both adults and children. It is really recommended.

This is what happened to us when the weather gradually began to improve and the rest of the contingent embarked on the return to jump arriving in that city without any problem. Our guide decided unilaterally to stay in Cachi to watch a football match. It starts raining and around 5:30 pm. Road short the route. The guide decided to return to Cachi where they literally left us there without any assistance. Thanks to a passenger who knew the place and who took us to an economic ospedar we were able to spend the night facing all the expenses. Returning the next morning, we lost other paid excursions increasing our economic losses. We claimed Nordic agency, no one came forward and they are missing the truth saying that no vehicle was able to transit that afternoon. It's not true that no one took charge of the bad decision made by the coordinator. And nobody takes care of it.

We were unlucky enough to hire a few months earlier for 9/12 without knowing that that day Argentina would play for the World Cup. From the first moment we started the trip what was prioritized was the return to watch the football game. The return to Salta we did 13:40 but after an hour and a half of travel the route was cut because it rained and fell stones and mud, we should have waited two hours on the route for the machines to clear the road but all that mattered was to watch the game, they made us return to Cachi to watch the game (which went to length and penalties). To summarize while we were in Cachi the route opened and we did not know. When the game was over and we wanted to return it rained again and back we were not allowed to pass must spend the night in Cachi. Enterprise here has no answer takes us to a hotel that had 3 spare rooms and we were 18 people. We had to go out at night raining to find a hotel and the people who had excursions did not help them either. The guide did not know what to do in these circumstances and did not have the means. They never apologized for the bad decisions that were made. They don't have protocols or officials to talk to.

DON'T TRAVEL WITH NORDIC. On the day of the excursion to Cachi the bug carrying us broke down in the middle of the excursion. Not only that we ran out of the rest of the attractions, but the Enterprise took over nothing. He left us sitting on the sidewalk with no information for four hours. They sent us a combi to bring us back who had technical problems at every corner. We returned to our hotel at 12 pm. Then, they didn't take care of what happened and didn't recognize anything, saying it was "force majeure" trouble. Really disappointing. It was a terrible time.

We made the excursion to Cachi. Our guide was Claudio (total genius) the whole excursion with good vibes and super ready to tell us everything and more about the place as well as super fun! It is an excursion of 12 hours or more. But it is worth it as Cachi is a people stopped in time. A beauty who falls in love! Along the way we were getting to know several places and viewpoints that I do not comment on so as not to spoil the trip! Enterprise super reliable!

The road is amazing!! And you come to a town like on "hiatus" as Jeremiah, our Canadian guide, said (excellent, rating really fell in love with Salta) They complied with everything, attentive and with much explanation. Tip: find a place to eat lunch, not just the one the agency suggests.

We hire excursion to Cachi and it is spectacular!! Beyond the village that is beautifully picturesque and its people so friendly, the different paths that are traveled along the excursion are wasteless, from the Yunga jungle, to the heights of more than 3000 mt with winding cornice paths, by Antonio the big doll driver for those paths, the incredible view from the Bishop's Hill with the clouds underneath is priceless, it is to take piles of photos!, and the guide by the genius Lore Flores!
