So many lamdscapes in a single day. Flavio was an excellent guide and put our well being as the top priority. We tasted local food, had amazing photo stops and everything in a relaxed atmosphere. Bring a warm pullover to throw over since it could be a bit chilly especially when it's windy in the mountains. Thanks for a wonderful day!

The pick-up arrangements were extremely disappointing. I had to spend far too much time trying to confirm the time, location and other details. What should have been a simple, straightforward process became unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. Unfortunately, this was the worst part of the entire experience.
All the sites were nice but the guide was rushing us all the time. Calling and messaging us before and during the tour with directive messages
Amazing landscape with history and geograhical significance combined. Opportunities to souvenir shop and sample local food are provided.
Great trip to Cachi , passing through the gorge with stunning views above the clouds and the Cactus reserve. Very comfortable and safe journey with great photo stops. Plenty of time to explore & enjoy lunch.
Well organized, reliable transport, but long day. I actually took 2 doors on 2 separate days and ended up both times with Guide Eduardo “EDU’. Knows his stuff but lacks listening skills and people skills. Make sure to ask for anyone else but him. Sergio was an excellent driver and very conscientious.
Let s say it is a road trip in fact a bus trip. Nevers stop on great location. 2 times 20 minutes at the banos parada.
It's one of the best excursions! Great views, nature and time to enjoy! Gide was helpful, answered all the questions. We even had stopped on a local festival!
The sites were all worth the trip, but the bus was unfortunately very uncomfortable for a 12 hour day.
There were many things to see on the way to our destination of Cachi. The topography and views start getting very spectacular when the road starts to gain some altitude and continues all the way to Cachi where we had lunch in a fantastic restaurant and look around the lovely town. It's the best tour I've done in the region, with the best viewpoints and stops and also the best guide I've had on my trip through Argentina. Karina was great, informative in both Spanish and English and it's obvious she enjoys her work and likes to broaden the minds of the guests on the tours. Her enthusiasm hasn't been matched yet! Yes the trip is a long day from Salta, but for me the price was good and the day is filled with beautiful scenery, cactus of course and wildlife.
Brilliant tour guide, very passionate offering information about the geography and history. Learnt a lot. Beautiful drive out of Salta - you spend a long time in the car but it is worth it for the views. Would highly recommend!
This was my fourth day of doing all day tours in the Salta region. This tour was my favorite. The tour guide Jasmine went out of her way to explain things to me, even though I was the only English speaking person on the bus. The scenery from start to finish was spectacular. It was truly a wonderful day. I would highly recommend this tour.
Ximena, the guide, was simply amazing. I was the only person in the group who wasn't from a Spanish speaking country, but I was okay listening to the explanation in Spanish to practice. Xime made sure I understood everything and was so attentive. She had a great connection with the whole group, making sure everyone was enjoying the tour. It was like being with friends. The itinerary was well constructed and there was ample time to see everything and relax in Cachi. Perfect.
The overall tour was great, saw a lot of nice places, small markets, nature, tried different foods/snacks on the way to Cachi, and had enough time in the nature park. Our guide did not really give explanations in English (for us was not a problem because we understand good amount of spanish, but she spoke 80% of the time in Spanish and only gave very short information in English. This was still a bit sad. Additionally in Cachi they recommend a restaurant, but if you really want to get good value for your money and eat amazing food I suggest you look around the main streets, because the place was shortly "awful" with prices, service and we found hair and insect in our food to which they did nothing. There are lots of good places around with much better deals;)
The guide cesar was a really nice guy and shared a lot of interesting information along the tour. The landscape is beautiful, changes from green to a colorful desert
The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the locations often very scenic, however, the driver speeding around switch back mountain roads, more or less all the time exceeding the speed limit, was rather frightening.
Joined as a solo with 17 other argentinian families. Though I was the only one who could not speak Spanish, our guide took good care of me. Everything was on time which made it easier for me to make plans once I came back to the city of salta. The view in the national park and Cachi were absolutely astonishing. I absolutely recommend investing your time for this destination and signing up with this tour :)
Beautiful trip through Los Cardones! Fernando was extremely knowledgeable about the area’s history, including historical, geological, and evolutionary. His insight was extremely interesting and insightful, and greatly added to our experience. Beautiful area - definitely recommend this trip, as well as Fernando!
Amazing price, amazing sights and great guide (Marcelo). The driver was very smooth and the tour was very interesting. Highly recommended and Cachi is beautiful with amazing Torrentes wine 🍷
This trip is incredible value for money. Driver and tour guide were exceptional and everything happened as advertised. The national park and views are literally breathtaking. It doesn’t explain you will be above the clouds with views you just can’t believe are real.
I wasn't expecting much from this tour but it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable I had in Argentina. I was pretty worried the guide wouldn't know any English as that's what the tour operator said the day before the trip, but maybe they switched out the guide last minute. Our guide Maru knew perfect English, explained everything twice both in Spanish and English, and was incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. Would definitely recommend this trip for some amazing views of the greener side of Argentina!
More a foto stop and shopping tour than an excursion. Most of the day you sit in the car while admiring the landscape, then two hours leisure time in Cachi (cute!). A real stop (like one hour) in the Cardones National Park would have been nice.
We had a great time on the trip to Cachi! Our guide Vanessa was very knowledgeable and was fluent in English , which was great for getting the best insights into the landscape and the city! Our driver Pablo drove us safely to and from cachi - and the road was sometimes very bumpy ;) Overall great value for money and we’d recommend this to everyone!
Our tour guide as great. Landscape is beautiful. It's a good amount of time on a bus, but the landscape and the dialogue from our guide made the time go by fast.
Great day out with amazing scenery and information thanks to our guide Fernando. Excellent English and Spanish tour and a very good driver.
If you like cactus, this is the trip for you. I loved every bit of it. Our guide Eduardo did a great job and was full of interesting information. Cachi is the final stop. We had 2 h to explore it. A little bit more time would have been nice.
Really nice experience! The guide was very kind and interesting. We stopped at many spots to enjoy the view, take pictures and taste some food sold by a few locals. I absolutely recommand!
The trip was incredible value for money. Guide was fantastic and spoke perfect English. Would 100% recommend to a friend if you are travelling on a budget/don’t mind travelling in a mini bus with 13 other people. Stops to take photos were brilliant.
We really like the different viewpoints! Our tour guide marcelllo was amazing - he explained all the spots history what’s important etc. we really enjoyed the National park and Cachi where we had lunch! Time was well spent in each of the locations - thanks so much to the driver and the tourguide!
My friends and I went on the Cachi and Los Cardones tour with Tiamar. We would recommend this company to any travellers. Our guide spoke both English and Spanish and explained everything in very thorough detail. We had an amazing time taking in the views, and hearing about the history of the area. We made a few stops to both take pictures and purchase local goods. Once we got to Cachi, we had some time to have lunch and explore the area. The local ice cream was so goood!
All began well.pleasant guide and driver, saw all the major sights.arrived back at hotel at 12,need more 4 for more info
Overall, really wonderful visit to Cachi and Los Cardones. Would recommending seeing these areas of Salta. Guide was knowledgeable and welcoming - did a good job of speaking Spanish and English, and pointing out local flora/fauna and animals. Pick up was timely, and stops were appropriately timed and spaced. Only minor hiccup was that there was some delay at the start of the trip because the guide left his driver's license at home. The checkpoint guards were not too happy about it. Thankfully we did eventually go through and our guide has a fee to pay, but it seemed like an easily avoidable delay.
Full day, very beautiful scenery, walking around Cachi was great, don’t miss the archeological museum. Pick up was seemless, safe driving, small group.
Fernando was an amazing guide who knew way more than I'd expect from a tour. He was very fluent in English as well as Spanish. He was both the driver AND the tour guide, which is an amazing feat. Exhausting, I'm sure!
Astonishing views all the way long, but be prepared for almost 100 miles of rough road. Choose a qualified driver with a vehicle safe and suitable for dirt roads. Between the Cardos Nacional Park and Salta you will face the abiss many times. Remember Nietzsche.
My bus picked me up from outside my hotel on time and after a 2 hour drive to the valley Julio took us on a short walk to the edge of the jungle where he showed us the differences in flauna. We stopped on a few more occasions in various different spots for great views of the landscape before reaching Cachi, which is very pretty little town where the locals were very pleasant and were dancing because of a festival. On the way back we stopped to view the thousands of cacti in the valley.
Visit to los cardones park was very interesting. It is good to learn that this species of cactus in the park is protected.
The Scenery was beautiful and the Cactus Park was amazing . Cachi is a pretty little town . However , the hotel pick ups / drop offs took forever . Also the lack of English commentary was annoying . The guide was pleasant and tried to explain some things in English but it was mainly Spanish. The bus was v uncomfortable
Pick ups from the hotels are efficient starting at around 7am and then you travel up through the gorge to the Cardones National Park (cactus) and Cachi where you have lunch and a walk around this really sweet town. Worth the travelling as the scenery is great and always changing especially on the way back as the clouds roll in.
If you are looking for a day trip you can't go past this one. Good value and great guide all in all a good day out
Although you leave very early since the route is long, the driver gave you peace of mind during the trip, due to his expertise on the route. The guide was exceptional for her friendliness and historical and appreciative knowledge of the landscapes and places visited.
Cachi is a pretty town, but the road, with a section of cloud forest, the impressive Cuesta del Obispo, and Los Cardones National Park with the snow-capped mountains in the background, makes the trip more than worthwhile. The guide, Verónica, was very kind and professional.
The tour, the landscapes, and the service were all excellent
Everything is beautiful. Lots of tasting of delicious food. Maria and Daniel are very cool
Beautiful landscapes, the town and its people are beautiful. Very nice experience, the guide was very kind and gave very complete explanations and historical references.
Excellent service. Very nice experience, Cachi is beautiful
Go to the agencies very good care. The explanations of the guide and driver Luis....thank you very much!!!!
Sofia the guide was great, gentle and clear. Diego the bondi driver, a kingpin, 0 problems. It was a nice day and they are re professionals.
We went September 17 of this year to cachi.EXCELLENT!!!! We went with Gaby Gaby (chauffeur and guide). It was extraordinary everything!!! We passed 10. The Warm Mood they created between the explanations of the trip and their friendly treatment made it spectacular.. We highly recommend them. THANK YOU
Don't be fooled by the score. This agency works with outsourced companies and does not report it. On 06/08/2025 we hired an excursion to Cachi, which ended up being operated by the Tiamar Enterprise with a vehicle from La Quebrada. Since we got into the combi we noticed its lack of maintenance, but we never imagined that it would become a real risk to our safety. On the way back, at about 4.30pm, part of the steering shaft of a wheel broke in the middle of Cuesta del Obispo — a route of steep curves at high altitude. The drivers did not have any means of communication with the Enterprise (there is no signal in the area) or any support vehicle or trailer. The driver, with extreme care, drove at 5 km/h to a stop, while the guide got into a truck to call for help in the city. We spent hours stranded and it got dark waiting for them to come and rescue us. Only at 8.30pm did a replacement arrive, with the anguish that children and elderly people were travelling in the combi. We had left Cachi at 15:30 to arrive in Salta at 18:00, but ended up arriving at 22:45. The next day we went to the agency to make the claim, as no one contacted us or apologized. There we were informed that the combi was from La Quebrada and that they had not even been notified of what happened. This shows a worrying lack of communication and accountability. We feel completely unprotected by the silence of the driver and guide, and by the irresponsibility of operating excursions with outsourced companies without informing passengers. Our recommendation: look for safer and more transparent alternatives.
