The reason I give them 3 stars is as follow The first day we use the bus, is not a bus is a mini bus, very uncomfortable, small seat and if you recline it the passenger on the back will complain that feel trap! The guide was substandard, she was talking about her a lot and didn’t follow her own schedule. Next day we contracted with the same company a private tour, excellent, 10 stars service and the guide was great. Highly recommend avoid the bus and contract privet, you paid for what you get.

An unforgettable day with an excellent guide! The day trip to Salinas Grandes and Purmamarca was amazing! Abel was an outstanding guide, combining extensive knowledge of the region with great attention to the group and a fantastic sense of humor. He made the journey both informative and fun, sharing interesting facts and local insights along the way, and provide many examples of native Indian language. His kindness and professionalism made the experience even more special. Highly recommended! Thanks, Abel, for such a wonderful day!
We had a fantastic day trip to Cafayate! The scenery was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking landscapes and beautiful vineyards along the way. The whole experience was very well organized and made for a memorable day. A special mention to our guide, Flor Mendoza, who was wonderful—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the trip. She shared interesting information about the region and made the day even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Salta and want to explore Cafayate!
Great experience. The guide Maria is a delight to have her as a guide and very knowledgeable. Matias our driver was also great. He managed the drive up and down the mountain very professional. I highly recommend this tour.
Everything was really nice and cool! The views and places that are part of tour are really breathtaking! Guides were really informative and friendly, especially Majo on first day of our tour!
We did the first three of the four trips listed here. The scenery was absolutely amazing but the days were 12-13 hours long and most of the day is spent on a bus with no bathroom. After three days, we could not bear the thought of 8 hours on a bus for 15 minutes looking at a mountain and 2 hours in a small town. The guides were good and spoke both english and Spanish during the trip. It did appear that in some instances the Spanish version was much longer but I got the gist of it. Please be aware that on some of the stops you are required to pay 500 pesos to use the bathroom. Also be aware the at even though the description says that all entry fees to the salt flats are included, they are not. It costs 8000 pesos to enter. When I pointed out that Viator says they were included, I was told that if I did not pay I would have to sit on the bus. I sucked it up and paid. Viator was helpful and refunded the amount back to me after a complaint was filed. But I am sure this tour company has gotten away with this forever. According to our guide, They have been charging at the flats since 2020. If I were ever to return I think I would choose the trips individually rather than as a package. The first three days were all different but the last day seemed as if it would be making many of the same stops. That is why we skipped it. Pick and choose where you want to go instead. Thank you Viator for standing behind your product and refunding the amount that was supposed to be included. Great customer service.
Communication with the company was excellent, and they are well organized. The tours entail a lot of driving, which we were prepared for, but the problem is most of their vans are not ideal for this type of sightseeing - the windows kept steaming up, and if you have the misfortune of being the last person to be picked up from your hotel, you'll have to sit in the back, from where you can see almost nothing (happened to us twice). The majority of people in our groups were Spanish-speaking, but the guides did their best to make us feel included and give us the same information. That being said, the content of the tours is quite basic and the storytelling underwhelming (the exception was Abel, who was quite a performer). Bathroom breaks are usually at spots where you can buy some local products. They also don't tell you in advance how much cash you should bring, so I suggest to bring extra just in case. When you finally arrive at your destination, the guides invite everyone to have lunch together at a restaurant of their choice (usually very touristy), but this is optional. All in all, we saw some amazing sights, but the tours could definitely be improved.
Very good. The experience was incredible, the guides are amazing and is exactly what advisor says.
It was a very enjoyable experience with many interesting places that we visited. The guide was brilliant and spoke brilliant English and Spanish. We would happily recommend this to anybody looking for some tours around Salta.
Overall we enjoyed the tours, however, up to 9 and a half hours in a bus is a lot for 4 consecutive days. I would recommend a couple of the days maybe with a day in between. The trips to Cachi and Salinas Grandes were definitely the highlights and unique, unforgettable experiences. One thing to be aware of is that there is a fee to be paid to a local guide at Salinas Grandes which is not included in the booking fee. We were told subsequently that the fee was not obligatory. However, if you didn’t pay it you didn’t get out onto the salt flats which is, of course, the whole point of the trip. The fee was only about €5 per person so not a big deal but worth being aware of. The guides were okay overall. Cesar was excellent; enthusiastic, thoughtful and informative. One of the others, whilst engaging, made a fair number of inappropriate comments and another seemed much more engaged with the Spanish speakers on the trip and not that interested in taking questions. Parada Norte appear to be a well run tour operator and we would definitely recommend using them
We had so much fun! After being picked up at our hotel we spend the day heading towarda different destinations with around 12 other people. The guide and driver organized everything and told us so many amazing facts about the landscape and the culture. Monica stood out especially, sharing so many interesting details and entretaining everyone during the whole day. Thanks for everything!
There are many things that are great about the company and the trips. The absolute highlight was the quality of trips guided by Monika - one of the best guides we've ever had. Exceptional in every way from knowledge-sharing, personality and an all round lovely person. She ran 3 of our trips. Other guides were ok. The company supported was brilliant in helping us tailor the itinerary to meet our requirements, accounting for breaking journeys and staying en route - they were super helpful and responsive. The tours themselves are great too and stunning scenery all enhanced with lots of facts and information. The two things that made this not a five star review - the Hornocal trip is a very long trip. For us it was all about the destination yet we only got 25 mins there. This meant we could not do the 1.5 hour walk to really experience the magical hills. While the company is at the hands of the indigenous community that runs tha part of the tour, we would have been better ditching Tilcara (really not much to see or do as many of our fellow travellers also expressed) and having less time for lunch and enjoying the hills. It's a very long way to go for 25 mins. We ditched the tourist driven lunch venue too (was hideous) and lots of lovely lunch venues in Humahuaca that were inexpensive and less trashy. The second thing was that some of their buses are very small. Having the back seats shared between 4 of us was not at all comfortable. The seats were too narrow and we were totally cramped. While the guide tried her best to help, it made for a very challenging journey (about 6/7 hours in total on the bus overall). We weren't impressed at all. Putting those issues aside, the rest was very good!
Amazing daily tour with the help and guidance of Majo and the awesome driver who spent the whole day cruising from one destination to another! Great entertainment and in-depth explanation on and off board by Majo...both in English and Spanish 🔝 best tour of cafayate area!
Great and fun four day trip in the North, informative, outstanding landscape and unique history and culture. Recommend to visit when available.
First of all, the booking office was bright and clean . I was offered a drink. Luciana spoke English very well, and describe my tour options clearly . I booked 3 tours from Salta. I was called by phone to tell me the tour van was arriving to pick me up each morning . I had 3 different guides . All very enthusiastic , and translated all the Spanish announcements clearly in English . My guides were … Abel, Ximena, and Lu.
I did the 4 excursions in 4 days from Salta for only $135. It was so worth it! If you rented a car and tried to duplicate the trip, you would be exhausted from the driving on the mountainous roads with hairpin curves. The drivers were excellent, explanations were good, also very good communication. There's more time on the bus than on the ground but you cover the best attractions in the Salta area. The landscape is spectacular! Highly recommend!
Overall a good trip(s) but you spend alot of time in the bus. The bus is not very roomy for taller people. Every day I was the only English speaking tourst on the bus and I received little attention and, more importantly, only an abbreviated talk regarding the locations we were visiting and their history. Sorry, but I signed up for that as much as anything else and still received only partial information. Non-Spanish speakers should be warned that you may not get the full experience.
All 4 day tours were simply fantastic! The organization, the guides, the drivers, simply everything perfect. The best decision we could make to get to know the impressive nature and landscape around Salta and Jujuy. We were completely satisfied.
Excursion to Hornocal, Humahuaca, Tilcara, a truly unforgettable experience, every look from the moment the trip begins is an incredible postcard, with the added value that "CHARLY" our driver/guide provided a lot of information about each place, which made this excursion incredible, with friendly and fun treatment, a thousand thanks for making us live such an experience to recommend, thanks again. Beto from Ushuaia !!!!!
I had a really great time thanks to Majo and Edu.
We had a wonderful experience discovering Cachi and its splendid landscapes. A truly special tour that allowed us to get to know the area better, crossing the Los Cardones National Park and passing through wonderful places like Payogasta. A special thanks to Flor W and Fernando Rodríguez, who accompanied us throughout the day with great availability, kindness, and professionalism.
Beautiful experience, we did the excursion with Deivid and he advised us very well with a lot of information
Excellent agency, Very good service and the guides are the best, Charly is a pro.
I want to highlight Dael's service, first for advising me on the packages and promotions. In addition, for answering all my questions in a very kind way. Also, of course, I thank the guides I had, Wara and Abel; I am also very grateful to them for their human quality and for making me have a beautiful experience. Thank you!
Excellent tour, we had Charly as our guide and driver! He made the trip a connection with the people, which was a very joyful trip.
Beautiful Salta.. beautiful experience.. and Flor Mendoza is a genius!! The driver, Francisco, is a very good driver ❤️
The excursions were very good, Juan the driver and Mary were very professional and cordial
Cachi tour with Mauro, Cafayate with Franco, Hornocal and Humahuaca with Darío, and Salinas and Purmamarca with Maria and Juan! Excellent service and very good attention
Absolute geniuses! The excursions were super punctual! We traveled with Mauro to Cachi! With Darío to Hornocal! And with Maria and Juan to Salinas! Absolute geniuses! Very attentive and super mindful of all the passengers! Thank you!
I was lucky enough to go on all 4 excursions with Parada Norte. All of them excellent! Only 1 negative point, which they are not directly responsible for either, and that is the time to enjoy such wonderful places. It is worth mentioning that the service from the guides was impeccable, but I cannot write a review without naming FRANCO, CHARLY the guides, and GABRIEL the driver! The best! They constantly offer you information, which is phenomenal for anyone eager to learn, always showing you the respect that people and the cultures we have the opportunity to get to know deserve, with humility and always being a part of it.
Excellent guide, Maria is a genius!! And Horacio, a great driver! Both of you have a great vibe!! Beautiful experience!
Excellent!! Beautiful experience!! Thanks to Maria and the driver Horacio!!
Guía María is incredible, super attentive and lively! The driver Horácio is also super careful! In general, I had a very positive experience with the company.
Excellent, very good explanation, very educational Flor and Fernando, a genius super respectful
Well-organized tours and knowledgeable guides. Wonderful places and well-calibrated timing. Highly recommended
I took 4 tours with the agency and it was the best choice I made. I arrived in the city with the intention of renting a car, but I was unsure because I didn't know the area. The agency is excellent, it gave me confidence and met all my expectations. I did all the tours with more safety and support. Furthermore, highlighting the exceptional work of the tour guides: Martín, Sérgio, Maria and Flor and the drivers who took and brought us safely. I recommend 1000%
The truth is that it was impeccable at all destinations. I had Daniel as a driver on two occasions and Mauro on one. In both cases, they also acted as guides. It would have been nice to have a separate guide, but even so, they led the group very well. On the last excursion, we met Eduardo as a driver and María as a guide. Maria is a genius, a 10 out of 10.
The excursion to Cachi with the driver Conejo and the guide Mari was excellent! Everything was a 10. A spectacular trip
A super complete experience with extraordinary guides !!! Very pleasant
Company with a lot of commitment and responsibility. Great work, attention, entertainment, information from the guides Seba (Charly) and Abel (teacher). Exciting. Bravo!!
Good experience, beautiful places, incredible views... and the best guide full of charm and humor.
Excellent service, I recommend them 100% and I would choose them again, all the guides were excellent.
We did the 4 excursions with the company, everything was excellent.
Today we did Calafate... everything beautiful!! Alejandra is a genius... thank you 🙌🙌
Excellent experience with the guide María...a genius!!! Highly recommended agency, super responsible, always organized.
Excellent Flor Mendoza and Luis Sosa....... Also Franco. Thank you
The excursions were beautiful! The guides were great: we had Hornocal with Mauro, Salinas with Daniel, and Cafayate with Yesi (a genius). The trips are super comfortable, they go by very quickly, the guys help the time fly by and always with a laugh or a fact to learn new things. We will return soon.
It is our first trip to the north and the truth is we were fascinated by the landscapes and everything... the coordinators are geniuses... MARIA has a very good vibe and is a genius... DANIEL the driver... a great guy playing music for the trip... total geniuses
I had a great time with the tour. They are long tours; we left our house around 06:00 AM and only returned around 21:00 PM. The destinations are super far away. Thanks to Parada Norte.
Very nice experience. We did the 4 days with different guides (Alba, Raúl, Mauro, and María), all very attentive and kind.
