Hotel Solar de la Plaza in Salta Capital, Argentina is a great hotel! It is centrally located, it’s a beautiful building, and has wonderful customer service. The hotel is in the center of Salta Capital and an easy walk to a multitude of restaurants and other businesses in town. In our case, we needed a pharmacy and found four in the very near vicinity. The hotel is made up of two parts: the hotel section and the old colonial house section. We had initially been assigned to a room in the hotel section, but had issues with the key card, so staff reassigned us to a room in the house portion of the hotel. The house section is literally an old colonial house which was refashioned to contain spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully-decorated rooms. The room was very clean, boasting a king sized bed with a very comfortable firm mattress. The bathroom was spacious with strong water pressure and lots of complimentary toiletries and bathrobes. The common areas of the hotel are also beautifully decorated in

Basic but comfortable old hotel. Breakfast is plain but ok quality. Old colonial vibe, but not an old building.
It’s a hotel with good decorations and spacious rooms. The location is quite good, close to popular areas. However, I wouldn’t call it a boutique hotel, we payed for the most expensive room and the amenities were not great, some stuff only for person even though we were two. Also the mattress was bouncy. The breakfast was only cold options and after asking the only offered to prepare some eggs, but there’s no menu, so if you don’t ask you are one offered them
Really enjoyed both our stays here. Staff are excellent. Rooms are good. Parking is great. Food was too - we ate at the restaurant. Far better to be ten minutes walk from central plaza than in it. Would gladly recommend it. Hotel is just starting to fray around the edges. Needs to be well maintained. One of our best stats in Argentina. Coffee at breakfast isn't the best and maybe some eggs would be nice but otherwise could not be faulted.
A slightly dated 4 star hotel in the heart of Salta yet in a relatively quiet area too. Rooms are spacious and clean. Air conditioning though is quite ancient and it's either set in freeze or stop. It's quite noisy too so useless at night. Well appointed large bathrooms. Staff are attentive but a bit aloof too in the Argentinian way. Breakfasts is disappointing for the category and you're better off going outside, plenty of excellent coffee shops nearby.
