Great experience learning how to make pasta and tiramisu in a home setting . Cesarine was an excellent teacher and was very knowledgeable in cooking with pure ingredients. It was delicious and we enjoyed visiting with her.

This cooking class is a hands on experience with great food at the end to enjoy. Be prepared to laugh, learn and get your hands dirty with flour through out the class. Lots of fun!!!
The title was Pasta and Tiramasu class in Vietro sul Mare. Marco was a great teacher and we made great ravioli but no time for the Tiramasu. There was one problem, and that was the instructions from Viator initially was to meet at a location called Vietro sul Mare. We took a bus to there from Solerno and arrived an hour early, but then hunted for the Viator person but after two hours, we were already an hour late to get to the correct site which was about 5 km along the Malfi Coast Road after contacting Marco. We eventually arrived an hour and a half late, but Marco was very accommodating.
Antonia was fantastic ! We arrived and she had mozzarella, a small pizza, ricotta, and bread. We sipped a bottle of wine as we prepared two different pastas and tiramisu. She went above and beyond and brought out orangechello and other bottle of wine. As inexperienced chefs she helped us throughout the whole experience and never judged. She taught us about Italian culture and her family in Salerno. We ate and talked an hour after our time ended and treated us like her own. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely the best experience! Sylvia is adorable and so passionate and kind! This was the best cooking class I’ve ever attended and could have spent the entire evening with her!
Magical morning spent in a tiny Italian restaurant with Marco and Amelia making ravioli and sharing our meal with them. I wish I could rate this experience higher than 5 stars. Loved it.
Silvia was an amazing host. She showered us with love and taught us step by step how to make an amazing pasta and tiramisu! This was by far our favorite experience in Italy!
This was such a fun and memorable experience! The class takes place in Sylvia’s personal home, and we truly felt like guests invited over for dinner. She was an amazing host and teacher. It’s a hands-on experience — we learned how to make tiramisu and a couple of types of pasta, which we can’t wait to recreate when we get home. She will send you the recipes afterward if you want. The meal was one of the best we’ve had during our trip to Italy. She also served a variety of delicious aperitivos, so definitely come hungry! One note: the address listed on Viator is not correct. Sylvia sent us the correct location by email the day before. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the cruise port, but we chose to take a 10-minute cab ride, which cost about €20 each way.
We had a very very good cooking experience with cesarina Silvia T. While we were in Salerno. Silvia warmly welcomed my husband and I into her home like we were her own family. We enjoyed friendly conversation over refreshments and savory bites and she shared her cooking expertise in a very approachable, thorough and informative manner with the help of her translator. The class was very hands on and it was fun to watch my husband get his hands into pasta making. After our pasta and dessert making was complete, we enjoyed our hearty meal together. It brought me back to childhood memories of spending time with family in my grandmothers kitchen. Thank you to Silvia! We are family now! I would gladly visit Silvia again and I highly recommend this cooking experience for anyone spending time in Salerno or vicinity.
We had THE best experience in this class! Carmen and her family were such wonderful gracious hosts! And the Grandma made the best wine on top of it all! We learned a lot in the class, and had such a fun time bonding with our Bridal party - a lot of whom we just met. Hands down the best experience! Thank you Carmen!!
I booked this class for me and my two daughters (13 and 15) as part of a week long trip to Salerno. Antonia helped us make two pasta dishes and a tiramisu as well as talking about the history of Italian cooking and sharing lots of her insights and experience. We then enjoyed eating the pasta and tiramisu in her wonderful apartment. A great way to feel close to the culture of the area and a very nice interlude in the week - highly recommended.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience taking this cooking class together celebrating our honeymoon. This was exactly what we were looking for and were in awe of the beauty of the home, stunning view, and the sweetest hospitality from the family. We have learned so much and everything was absolutely delicious and displayed so beautifully. Thank you so much for this lovely experience! I am also very appreciative for my vegetarian accommodations, thank you for being so considerate and thoughtful!
The night before I checked the app and email to make sure we were good to go for our pasta class. Before I left my cruise ship, I checked the app and email for any updates… nothing. We walked 2 miles to get to the location. We got there and it was a cafè, not a pasta class. I messaged the owner and didn’t receive a reply. After 10 minutes, I called Viator. After I spoke to Viator, the owner of the pasta class called and asked, “If I received a confirmation email about the location?” I replied, “No. I checked my email the night before and the day of. The confirmation I received gave the address I’m at now.” She then explained the location was somewhere else and wanted to know if we could get there. By this time it was 10:45 am. We had to be back at the ship by 2:00 pm. To get to her location and cook, we would not have had enough time. She should put the correct location on the app. I planned it out due to location and not being too far from the cruise ship. If she would have communicated this after I booked it, I would have found someone else.
Sylvia was a great host! Not only did we learn how to make pasta, gnocchi and tiramisu, she treated us to many delicious Italian appetizers before our pasta meal! I would highly recommend this class!
It was a very enjoyable evening. We made two kinds of pasta from scratch, and a tiramisu. Our hostess was very kind with her instructions and guidance. She was gracious and generous with her critique of our pasta making abilities. The food was so delicious as and the conversation was also very enjoyable. We absolutely recommend this cooking class and evening.
Ana and Luigi were the most hospitable hosts we have experienced! They welcomed us into their home like family! It was fun to chop up tomatoes, onions and celery with Ana for the tomato sauce! The preparation for gnocchi gave us more appreciation for that pasta! Kneading the flour with the boiled potatoes becomes an exercise of perfection! The tip to getting the dough perfect, is with the poke of your finger! It must come out clean..we enjoyed a delightful lunch in their lush garden, paired with a glass of wine!
It was a great time cooking with Silvia. She has a true passion and loves to teach. It was a very nice experience that felt like family.
Madelana was the most gracious host. She greeted us like family, we sat at her already set for guest table had some olives, cheese etc. she poured us a glass of wine as well. Then went to cooking lessons. She made it so easy for us to make pasta and we shared stories and laughed. The food came out delicious and she gave us the recipe all printed out. Outstanding time! My family and I said it was the high light of our trip. Please do this you will not regret it.
We where invites into the home of Emily and her family, such a warm welcome. Started with friendly contact over whatsapp with directions on how to reach them. Emily was already waiting for us at the bus stop. The best food ever and very lovely people. Great experience!
First of all, we were staying in Salerno so they managed to find a cesarina (actually it was two ladies) in Salerno insted of Vietri sul Mare so that was a great service to begin with and to make it even better, Cesarina's aprtment was only 50m walk from where we were staying so that was a bonus too. Our cesarinas, two local Italian ladies are simply wonderful lovely people! They taught us how to make a regional (Campagna) pasta, stuffed pancake dish and tiramisu which we could eat all on the balcony of their house with some sea view and the sun of course! They also gave us some appetisers (again regional dishes such as buffalo mozzarella and olives), prosecco and wine. There were more than enough food for us all and they were all delicious. They gave us recipes too so now we can recreate all those wonderful dishes at home. The ladies spoke little English but that was absolutely fine as I speak some Italian so I got to practice the language and they were very patient. We made such a good friendship with those ladies at the end. If you love cooking, good Italian food and are looking for authentic Italian experience with local people, then I highly recommend this one because that's all about this experience. We all had wonderful time. Thank you!
