Positano, Amalfi & Ravello: Shore Excursion From Salerno

It was a wonderful day full of amazing places, led by a fantastic guide! I would highly recommend this tour!

You're going there for a treat!.. on a cruise..we started from the port of Salerno to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The coastal views were gorgeous and amazing. Make sure you have a camera ready and Dramamine handy. It was a beautiful day when we went on October 24... the short dropped by Sorrento added a spice to our trip, with a lemoncillo and cremation di melone tasting. You've got to buy one or both! On the other hand, shopping is irresistible on Positano and Amalfi for souvenirs 😆 can't go wrong going for this particular tour. Our tour guide Mac and driver Remegio were great. Thanks to them for bringing us to our destinations safe and sound. This is one place I would love to come back for more❤️

I loved how the driver Alfredo went the freeway towards Mt Vesuvius. He was a great great driver! Roseanne’ was a very good tour guide. The countryside is gorgeous and Positano enchanting. I loved the village of Amalie and highly recommend visiting it. We had some rain, so it got crowded quickly.

This excursion had so much potential. Our guide seemed more interested in conversing with the driver than interacting with guests. A lot of the trip was driving but I’ve been on long excursions (6-8 hours) before and felt the knowledge/history of things along the way was just as good as the destination. She didn’t seem passionate about the trip and was less than enthusiastic about having to be a tour guide.

It was so exciting to finally check off visiting the Amalfi Coast on my bucket list! This tour was a wonderful way to see the region, and visiting a local factory to taste authentic limoncello for the very first time was a major highlight. Finding the tour group right outside the cruise terminal was smooth and hassle-free. Our tour guide did a fine job giving us information, though her humor and overall tour personality felt a bit forced at times. I also wish the itinerary had allowed for more free time in Positano and Amalfi city, as visiting the third stop in Ravello cut into our time in those main towns. Special mention goes to our driver, who handled the notoriously sharp and winding roads around Positano and Amalfi with incredible calm and skill. The only drawback on the road was that he and the guide chatted nonstop, loudly, without pausing for a single second during the entire ride back to the port. All in all, it was a great way to experience the stunning beauty of the coast, and I would definitely recommend it to cruise passengers stopping in Salerno!

Great trip with our guide Rosy who was knowledgeable and fun. The Amalfi coast was beautiful, the downside was the amount of people visiting Positano & Amalfi - the fastest walking pace was “shuffle”, overwhelming number of visitors. Ravello was quieter. Ignore the pinned meeting point in Salerno on Viator’s website which takes you outside the port! The tour guides actually wait just outside the exit of the terminal building

Roads on the bus ride are typical Italian coast, a bit winding up and down through the towns; but enjoyed the multiple stops and the free time in each. Driver Francesco handled it flawlessly and guide Rosy was very personable, informative and easy to understand.

We had a wonderful day trip to Positano! Our tour guide was incredibly sweet, kind, and welcoming. She made the whole experience enjoyable and was so helpful throughout the day. Positano was absolutely beautiful, and having such a lovely guide made the trip even more special. Highly recommend!

Stunning views beautiful villages combined with lively boutiques, cafes and beaches with a very professional driver and knowledgeable and friendly guide.

It was supposed to be an 8 hour activity therefore starting at 8am and finishing at 4pm in time to return to our boat. Guide thought trip was to 5.30pm. Therefore he had to reduce time for several visits which was a shame.

We liked the places we visited, however, the guide did not walk with us, or give us any history about the places we visited, but did let us know what the best places to see. Our driver was impressive, driving on narrow switchback roads. I recommend visiting Positano and Amalfi. Ravello there was not much to do, so we stopped for a drink

We had a really wonderful experience during our Amalfi coast tour. It started when we were greeted by our tour host Antonio Carola. He was exciting, engaging and friendly. He is a local who knows the best practical tips on getting the most of your visit to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.With his tips and suggestions, we were able to see everything we wanted and more.He was able to find the best spots for taking beautiful pictures.He was always ready to offer a cold bottle of water and a super clean air conditioned mini van. He also took a quick trip to Sorrento for us as an added bonus and we still made it back to our cruise well on time. So glad we had the best tour guide! You won’t be disappointed. Grazie Anto’

We had the absolute best day on this tour with Antonio Carola as our guide. We learned so much on the drive and he gave us great recommendations of where to go in each city. Plenty of time to explore each, and I’m so glad we chose this shore excursion!

Today was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our Mediterranean cruise. Walking through the ancient streets of Pompeii was like stepping into a time capsule. It’s hard to believe that almost 2,000 years after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, so much of this remarkable Roman city remains. The streets, houses, shops, bathhouses and even the wheel ruts left by Roman carts tell the story of a thriving city frozen in time. A special mention goes to our guide, Josephina, who was simply outstanding. Her knowledge, passion and storytelling brought Pompeii to life in a way that books and documentaries never could. She explained not only the history of the city but also the everyday lives of the Romans, making us feel as though we were walking alongside them. She was engaging, entertaining and incredibly knowledgeable—the best tour guide we’ve had on our entire trip. Seeing the ingenious water system, public baths, fountains and remarkably advanced homes gave us a real appreciation of just how sophisticated Roman civilisation was. Every corner revealed another fascinating story. The excursion was exceptionally well organised from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, there was plenty of time to explore, and we returned to the ship with a much deeper appreciation of one of the world’s greatest archaeological treasures. If Pompeii is on your bucket list, don’t hesitate—it exceeded every expectation. It’s one of those rare places where history truly comes alive and a visit you will never forget.

World Tours vehicles are very clean and air conditioned ( we saw quite a few of them on our excursion). There was a plentiful supply of cold bottled water onboard. Our guide (Antonio Carola) was easy to find at the cruise port. He was very friendly and full of knowledge. The first place we went to was Ravello, up in the mountains. This was just a drive-through. Then through Ravello down at sea level and onto stops in Amalfi and Positano where we had free time to explore. Antonio took us via the outskirts of Sorrento, onto the Autostrada, for a quick journey back to our cruise ship in Salerno. Overall a great excursion!

Gino Rosamo was the best guide we had whilst we were in Naples. Kind considerate and informative. In all there were 7 of us in his clean comfortable mini bus. He gave us plenty of time everywhere and did a few photo stops along the coast. Definitely knew and enjoyed taking with us in English about Italy and our tour - Positano & Sorrento. Best trip. The whole experience was brilliant and kept to time

This was an amazing tour led by the wonderful tour guide Anna. Each stop was beautiful, Anna provided the historical and cultural significance of each location, and the driver expertly handled the winding roads up the coast. We had ample time in each location to explore and take in the sights. The tour company was also quite flexible to handle last minute changes from our group (15 people), and they were able to still deliver an exceptional experience.

The tour was easy to find at the port thanks to their clearly marked sign. Francisco, our driver, was highly skilled and handled the challenging roads with confidence and care. Rosy was very knowledgeable and shared interesting information about all the places we visited. She even personally showed us the limoncello factory, which was a wonderful touch. This was a very good tour! Annachiara and Danillo were great, very informative and pleasant to be with all day, The ammount of time allocated per stop was approprate. The size of the group was about right and managed verywell. Annachiara was very well aware about getting everyone back to the Ship on time! Our driver and tour guide Rafael was knowledgeable, friendly, and a great driver. He was speaking three languages at the same time, to accomodate his guests. Positano, Sorrento, and Amalfi are wonderful, and the boat trip in Amalfi was so relaxing. Would definitely recommend this service to any and all.

Had a great tour to Sorrento Positano and Amalfi with WorldTours. Our guide was Carmine and he was polite and helpful the entire trip. The timings were adequate and driver Cirro was always on time.

The best way to enjoy the Amalfi Coast! Small group tour, our fantastic guide Nina and driver Alfredo met us at the cruise ship port and navigated the chaos and crowds allowing us to enjoy the most time in each of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.

They cancelled last minute and they did not get a message to me. I was getting all of the reminder emails and “get ready to go” even when it was cancelled. The only way I learned was when I called to check in the morning of.
