Wonderful day in cocora valley our guide Laura was fantastic very professional friendly with great knowledge

This is an experience for kids older than 8 years old. Edward who works with La Cabana is an experience tour coordinator. It is a long day as the driving is intense. My flights were delayed and Edward and the manager of La Cabana Maria Camila helped us rescheduling our tours. The food at the hotel is excellent I contacted the hotel after the earthquake and they didn't have any damage but the airport and Salento did.

Incredible tour! We loved the whole thing. Pedro was so great and you can tell how passionate he is about his hometown!

Yaz was an absolutely incredible guide! She was knowledgeable, professional, but most of all, she was friendly. By the end of the day, she was like a member of the family. She had a great itinerary and organized our transportation from our hotel in Pereira as well as our meals during this amazing day. The tour she took us on of the Cocora Valley was gorgeous and is a must-see for anyone visiting this region of Colombia. The landscape is unlike any you've visited before. The town of Salento is colorful and friendly as well.

The tour was amazing - Andres was an incredible tour guide and we learned so much from him! Daniel, our driver, was super friendly and a very good driver in busy traffic conditions. We really appreciated Andres reaching out to suggest an earlier start so that we didn’t get stuck in the traffic. That was a life saver and we are so grateful that we listened to him as otherwise we would have wasted a lot of time in traffic. It was a great tour of the Cocora valley and Salento, and we even squeezed in extra stop for a local lunch. 10/10 recommend!

The private tour was fun with some hiking to the most beautiful views and was full of stories, history and information about the region, city and Colombia. Laura recommended an excellent restaurant that we enjoyed for lunch. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend!

Luisa was an awesome guide with extensive knowledge of everything (history, flora, fauna, etc). The hike was perfect (not too short not too long). We were able to see the rare Andean condor flying overhead.

Do it on your own, much cheaper and easy to do the hikes, very well signaled, a lot of other commercial trails, just do the normal ones

We did the horse riding up the hill and down - I’m normally skeptical about these but they treat the horses so well - so much care, food and rest! It was a beautiful experience something I’ll never forget. We did take photos - you have to wait in line we went during the week so less busy but it was December so it was naturally crowded with people on holidays . Salento was beautiful - very encanto - must see the city is FULL of colours! So beautiful and unforgettable!

Pedro (Peter) was super friendly, welcoming, informative, also taking care of my parents’ slow movement. he explained history, geography, biology of cocora valley in details, as well as salento architecture and history. we are deeply impressed. He even over timed 1.5 hours and ended at 6:30pm .

We really enjoyed our tour with David. The communication was excellent, he speaks English perfectly fine which made it possible to get a lot of information and good conversations. What we really liked about the tour was that David not only explained about the Cocora valley (which he did really elaborate!!) but also gave it a personal touch. This was possible because he lived in Europe and was able to explain the differences between the European culture and nature and the Colombian one. We gained a lot of knowledge and understanding for the South American way of living. David made us feel really comfortable, the conversation were natural and therefore we were easily able to let him know what was convenient for us. After the tour he brought us up hill in Salento and gave us a recommendation for a local beer. The day ended perfect because Maik and I were able to enjoy another beautiful view with a refreshing beverage due to David! Next to that, he told us that we could always text him for information on our journey in different parts of Colombia (tayrona, Palomino, Cartagena, Rosario). Conclusion, we will recommend David 100%. Excellent guide Pedro who was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating for us. He took beautiful pictures of the family. The tour it self was spectacular, Cocora valley is breath taking and a must see.

Gran Colombia arranged an excellent tour of the Cocora valley for me. The tour guide David was friendly, knowledgeable and knew all the best spots to take pictures. The journey was very comfortable in an open air jeep. I highly recommend booking the Cocora valley tour with Gran Colombia - The landscapes and palm trees are truly spectacular.

We booked this private tour and the day before the experience, we were contacted by Gran Colombia asking if we were okay with another couple joining our tour (a tour guide was sick and the individual tours needed to be combined with one tour guide). Gran Colombia tours was very accommodating and refunded us 20% as a result. Our tour guide Luisa and our driver Jorge were both amazing. Luisa informed us with history of the country as we drove to the valley and stopped along the hike to point out important plants and information. The only downside of our experience was that lunch took such a long time that we only had about 30 minutes to explore the town of Salento before returning to Pereira.

I’ve been here with my wife for the first time. We were based in Salento and we booked a day trip to the Parque Valle de Cocora y Salento. The organization was perfect, all on time, safe and well managed. The guide was very professional and gave us all the explanation about history and traditions of both the park and in the town of Salento. We have really enjoyed the day and we recommend this trip and this tour operator

My day started very well when Daniel picked me up in Pereira at 8am and we had a pleasant ride while talking about various topics until we reached Salento, where my guide for the day Yazmin was waiting for us. Yazmin was knowledgeable, energetic, charmingly ironic and a truly delightful companion during my day visiting Valle del Cocora and Salento. Extra points for Yazmin when I told her that I hadn't yet tried any of the local fruits that you can't find in Europe, so she brought me to a fruit shop in Salento and selected 6 local fruits for me so I could taste them all over lunch. AMAZING and unexpected: thank you to the best guide Yazmin and best driver Daniel for a memorable day!

This was an incredible tour! Maria Fernanda is an excellent guide. Her knowledge and love of the Cocora Valley and surrounding area is unmatched and made for a very interesting and informative hike. The hike to Finca la Montaña can be steep but is worth it for the views! This is such a beautiful area and is a must see when visiting Quindio. The tour of Salento was a nice way to end the tour, with interesting historical tidbits and some local recommendations. Confirming the tour and coordinating pick up was very easy- I will use Gran Tours Colombia for future excursions!

A TOTALLY AMAZING PLACE. Our experience touring the Cocora Valley and Salento was extraordinary. The place is awe-inspiring. You cannot miss this place if you visit Colombia’s “Eje Cafetero”. Our guide Dahiana and our driver were wonderful and very accommodating and helpful.

Fantastic 2 day tour organized by Gran Colombia Tours with Maria Fernandez. We spend one day Finlandia and the Santa Rita waterfalls, with a wonder authentic lunch in between. Next day was the Cocora Valley 6 hour hike (A MUST), then a coffee tour at Luger (also GREAT). Maria went above and beyond at each stop. She was energetic, friendly, adaptable, and super knowledgeable. An absolute pleasure to be with.

Ivan was a fantastic guide! He was very knowledgable about the Cocora Valley and very friendly. The tour is well organized and on time. I'd highly recommend this tour for a group or for those traveling solo.

We had a great guide David and he was very flexible to your wishes. We had some good talks about Colombian culture too. The hike was really nice, luckily it didn't rain, with some great viewpoints, ideal for photos.

Based on our experience with our tour guide, there are other ways to do the Cocora Tour which are much cheaper. The tour guide explained so little about Cocora and Salento, neither the history or any additional information. The only thing the tour guide did was walking with us in Cocora and in Salento with NO information, we payed 70 euros each for this and it is not worth it. But we highly recommend the place.

The tour was great! The team (the driver Oscar and the guide Laura) was very professional and very friendly. The hike is about only 2h in total going up & down and is not difficult. The viewpoints are outstanding!

Had the most memorable and amazing experience with Ivan! He was excellent outlining the importance and principal of The Valley. Everything any tourist wants , his top priority was our safety and how we felt hiking up. He always looked out for us and made such a great company the entire time! We had a great time hiking the cocora valley with Pedro! He knew so much about the area and we learned so much. He also takes great pictures and he took a ton for us. We had a tight schedule and also book an airport transfer with the same company and the whole experience could not have gone smoother and they were happy to accommodate us. Would recommend this company again and if you are doing this cocora valley ask for Pedro!

Great communication, and super fun trip! Our guide shared a lot of knowledge about the history and current events in Cocora, the plants in the surrounding area and their significance/importance, as well as the beauty that is hidden within the forest of Cocora. The views were breathtaking and the stories were extremely interesting!
