We spent an incredible 2 nights at this hotel enjoying the grounds, delicious food, quality service and fine hospitality of everyone involved with The Conde Rodrigo II. The restaurant is amazing and served me the one the best tiramisu of my life. We watched the sunrise over the cathedral in the distance from our terrace. The owner Ceferino is a kind and generous man that truly cares about his staff and the guests experience.

Hotel is close to town if you are driving. Hotel: convenient, quiet, value for money Restaurant: needs improvement, a) breakfast: €11 is not worthy b) menu: pre-cooked food, stew was good, but corvina was re-heated, dry. Dessert was good.

We made a reservation in this hotel, we called 5min after to confirm if the dogs were allowed. They told us they do not and told us to cancel ourselves via the email. They charged us 50% of the room for a 5min reservation mistake. That must definitely be a profitable business when you dont have any decency.

The family rooms are very spacious and have two full bathrooms, but are quite outdated and hot. The breakfast was delicious, it doesn’t have a great variety, but is enough. The ladies at the restaurant were super nice and attentive, it was the highlight of our stay. The first room where we stayed was not clean. The bed sheets and pillows had stains on them and dirty particles. Also, there were still clothes tags from, we imagine, previous guest as well as clothes in the drawers. We went to the reception and they changed us to another room. It was more clean, but one of the pillows was also dirty. One of the shower heads was also not working.
