Eftalquot cliff and beach is one of the most beautiful exciting cliffs in the province, located 40 km west of Salalah city. It is a high vertical rocky exposure overlooking the vast sparkling water of Indian ocean. With a spectacular view and its vast hills that are green in the autumn season and the near by beautiful beach, this beach can be seen from the top of the neighbouring hills which fabricates a breath-taking view.
Next stop will be the beautiful golden sand beach of Al-Magsail. Have a few moments of relaxation time and enjoy yourself with the majestic deep blue ocean and the dazzling sunlight making the sand sparkle as a thousand tiny jewels. You may talk a short walk and immerse your toes in this long soft sandy beach and feel the warm breeze petting your face while you relish the flooding sound of the waves lapping at your feet. You will spot an amazing picturesque view of rocky mountains meeting the ocean just nearby articulating a beautiful meeting point. A peaceful time you deserve.
Next stop will be a 5 minutes’ drive from Magsail beach to the nearby Marneef Cave and blow holes. Situated at face of Marneef mountain, a beautiful limestone cavity formation overlooking the ocean with the nearby blow holes and Magsail beach. Marneef cave has been a unique destination for locals and tourists, because of the Natural Phenomenal fountains (blow-holes) located in the area. The running water rips through the rock cavities, resulting in the surge of the water fountain, noted for its outstanding beauty. In addition to the sound of the gushing water lends the place a unique ambience of its own. The place also has a nice restaurant and café which adds a completion to your trip as you can enjoy a calming time overlooking the vast Indian ocean view while enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
Your next stop will be at Al- Fazayah beach. It is absolutely one of the best shore sites in Dhofar province and a very attracting spot for shore lovers. Situated down the rocky hills of west Dhofar mountains and surrounded by an amazing mushroom like cliffs at a height of more than 700 meters, makes the place a stunning natural picture that makes you speechless. It is a perfect overnight camping spot, especially in winter time. The place gives you a feeling of freedom as it is away from any domestic reach, which makes it a perfect place to relax without disturbance. You can really enjoy the walk, swim, snorkelling and even camping and definitely take with you unforgettable experience of your visit to Salalah and Oman.
Located near Rakhyut Town, 82 km drive from Salalah city and 50 km drive from Magsail beach. Shaat sinkhole is an amazing natural wonder of west Salalah. A natural phenomena of karst/topography cavity in the ground at the high mountain of Shaat area. The place has 3 walking tracks around the sinkhole, with 3 viewing galleries. Looking over the view gallery you will definitely feel the spectacular exciting life of the nature in the place, while you hear a numerous different birds tweets around the wide opening of the sinkhole . However, It is not only the sinkhole that will excite you, but also the way to it offers an outstanding Eco highlights and a breath-taking high cliffs views overlooking the Indian ocean glimmering waves.
Set above the clouds at the high limestone cliff of Shaat mountain at an elevation of 800 meters above sea level. Unleash your imaginations at this breath-taking luxurious point. Relax and Capture an unbelievable pics of the fading sunset across the beautiful authentic country side of Shaat village. This is one of the top stunning view gallery points in Dhofar Region. A place will definitely make space for its beauty in your travel diary.
I recommend visitors can book both of western and eastern Salalah trips because we felt time was very proper for exploration one by one. Our tour guide gave us so much free time to explore by ourselves. To notice this trip without regular lunch time so we just picked light snacks, latte and cappuccino when passing some vendors.
Hamid and his team are consummate professionals. Not only that, they are a lot of fun to hang out with! Having them as guides means you can really experience the beauty of Oman, and in particular the off the beaten track areas. Flexible and empathetic, Hamid has the gift of recognising what his guests will enjoy. I couldn’t recommend Amazing Salalah more highly.
Hamid and his team at Amazing Salalah are the perfect conduit to west Salalah, where the landscape opens out into expansive sheer mountains carved by the winds racing off the Indian Ocean. Some of the view points he took us to were absolutely spectacular, culminating with a lovely Omani picnic on one of the most picturesque beaches I've ever been to. Knowledgeable, polite, on time, and so generous with his time, I couldn't recommend Hamid and Amazing Salalah enough.
My journey through Salalah gave me a deep appreciation for Oman’s southern beauty. I explored ancient sites like Sumhuram and Al Baleed, learning about the region’s frankincense history. The contrast between desert dunes and lush valleys amazed me. Wadi Darbat was breathtaking-green hills, waterfalls, and even camels grazing by the river. The people were incredibly kind, always offering smiles and stories. The local market was filled with the scent of frankincense and spices. I never imagined a place could combine culture, history, and natural beauty so effortlessly. Salalah deserves more attention from travelers.
Fabulous tour. What a wonderful start to my holiday. I was picked up promptly by the guide (Said) and we went straight to explore Wadi Darbat. I took a boat which was excellent. Great for those insta photos. It was busy but a wait time of a minute!!! So no complaining here!!! Then headed to grilled meat ( the smell was divine) at the summit. Next to Jabel Samhan and a breathtaking view....saw so many camels wandering from one side to the other ... The landscape around looked so much like Wales UK ...or maybe Scotland.... Stopped along the way for snacks and drinks! The drive was chilled, the scenery blew me away. I did so much. Oh and not forgetting caves, sinkholes, zero gravity and a castle. Do ask for Said as he was an awesome guide. You won't regret it

He welcomed us warmly and understood our background and kept us engaged in conversation throughout the trip while answering all our questions. A truly photogenic bonanza! Beautiful places and beaches, amazing viewpoints! Thanks to Hamid, our competent and friendly guide. We spent a full day walking on white sand beaches, spotting wandering camels (even on the route), observing incredible rock formations, bathing in the sunlight, breathing fresh sea air ... and a lot more!
We had a very pleasant experience touring the beautiful sights. Our guide Hamid made it very enjoyable with his awareness of history and the local traditions.
We really enjoyed the trip. Mainly because our our guide, Hamid. He was knowledgeable and hospitable. Also a good chat companion and told us a lot of interesting things. Note that best time to come here is September/beginning of October. Before that, there’s a rain season, after everything turns yellow so won’t be much greenery around. Trip was a total of 7 hours, so not too rough. I also personally suggest to start a bit later so that you get to Shaat by sunset time. We started at noon time and the timing was ideal. Also check the weather prior to booking, as the most could spoil things a bit for you :)
Hamed is exceptionally well-informed and has wonderful historical stories that will add to the beautiful scenery! He’s kind and has a beautiful sense of humour. The trip takes you to beautiful spots and is highly recommended.

Eftelquot viewpoint, and getting drenched near the blowholes were the highlights of this trip! Salalah is a beautiful place. There are so many attractions to visit in your limited stay that you need an accomplished local guide. We worked out a comprehensive 3-day itinerary with Hamid, including West of Salalah, that had a mix of nature, trails, beaches, culture and food. The first thing you will notice about Hamid is his cheerful smile...the next thing you will realize immediately is that language and culture is not a barrier when interacting with Hamid. Our 5 year old formed an instant friendship with Hamid too! Hamid is extremely accommodating and absolutely fun to hang out with. We had great conversation and chit chat.... so much that the time spent in the car was as much fun as the time spent at the destination spots. Hamid gave us useful pointers prior to a destination, this way we were able to prepare ourselves and enjoy the destination as per our liking and preferences when we actually got there. Thanks to Hamid, we left Salalah with good memories, and a promise to return!

A beautiful and almost deserted stretch of coast. Thanks to our guide Hamid we discovered incredible rock formations and a breathtaking ocean panorama. We spent unforgettable hours on a long stretch of light sand that plunges into a turquoise sea full of fish and turtles. Interesting excursion and absolutely not to be missed

On the western tour with our guide Hamed we were able to collect beautiful impressions again. We could observe many flamingos in the lagoon. On the way to Maghsail Golden Beach we came across several herds of camels lingering in a lagoon. The Maghsail Golden Beach has us very excited with the white beach and the turquoise sea. The Blowholes don’t spray high fountains anymore in March, but we still had a lot of fun there together with Hamed. A successful conclusion of the tour we experienced at sunset at Al Haffa Beach where many locals also romped. Hamed told us again a lot of interesting things about the culture and nature of beautiful Oman. At this point, a special thanks to Hamed, who made for beautiful memories with this tour.
