East & West Salalah Combination Tour - Darbat Waterfall, Mughsail

This was our first international family trip, and it turned into a very memorable experience for us, largely because of the support and guidance we received from Beautiful Salalah Tours. A special thanks to Amina, who coordinated everything from the beginning. She was very supportive, patient, and flexible, and helped customize the itinerary exactly based on what we wanted. We had quite a long list of places to cover, and she worked with us to make the plan as practical as possible. Our guide, Abu Salim, made the trip even more special. He has excellent knowledge of Salalah, the local culture, routes, and the places we visited. More importantly, he understood very quickly what kind of experience we were looking for and adjusted the trip accordingly. He was friendly, patient, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the journey. Initially, I felt the price was a little high, but after completing the trip, I genuinely felt it was worth the cost considering the private vehicle, long hours, customized itinerary, and the quality of the guide and service. We were not able to cover every place we had originally planned, but that was completely from our side. We got tired and realized only after reaching Salalah that the number of places we selected would realistically need at least 3 days to enjoy properly. In fact, both Amina and Abu Salim had already explained this to us at the beginning, so this was purely our own planning mistake. Overall, we are very happy with the experience. For our first international trip, this became something we will remember for a long time. Thank you Amina, Abu Salim, and the Beautiful Salalah Tours team for making our Salalah trip so enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended, especially for families looking for a private and customized tour experience.

We had the best experience ever in Salalah! 🤍 On our first day, we took a tour of West Salalah, and Mughsail Beach, Marneef Cave and the cliffs were simply breathtaking 😍 I highly recommend booking your tour with our guide - Abu Salim. His planning was very well thought out, and he took us to a few extra hidden gems that weren’t even included in the tour. It made the experience feel so much more special and personal. On our last day we explored East Salalah and Abu Salim was also kind enough to drop us off at the airport ☺️ Beautiful Salalah Tours provided an excellent service from start to finish. I actually participated in three full days of tours to the East , West and to waterfall. Guide of second and third day Ahmed Alawaid he’s punctual, very friendly, flexible, funny and showing the hospitality at his best. He’s very experienced with Driving. I feel so safe. I feel so safe even visibility is low up in the mountain. I just feel the first day we couldnt see Waterfall and we are not informed was a bit disappointing. I hope there is proper meal break because it was a eight hour trip me and my tour members have to ask when we will have snack break and live on protein bar. Perhaps tour can add Omani Food at self pay self pay basis? The first day guide didn’t offer any water or snack as listed in the tour. I think it’s a bit difficult for elderly or child to join this.

Very good tour east and west with guide Mohammed Ali

Hi, sharing my personal experience (31st May 2026) Worst tour agency. They are pathetic and irresponsible. 1. Bus is not good, he is driving bus at the speed of 70 KM per hour from salalah to Dubai and Journey takes almost 18-19 Hours without exit and entry and with that the journey take 22-23 hours one-way Reason is some issue in gear box or wheel. 2. From last 3 days bus did not got cleaned it was same like before. Stinky (They dont bother about customer happiness) 3. They stop vehicle only at mosque or worst places where food and washroom is bad and stinky even for 1sec you can not have breath. 4. For this long journey neither pushback working or seats are comfortable. Both adds the value to make it more worst. 5. Hotel Breakfast is not at all having any food option like only Oman food option available, food is pathetic and they tell that they give rooms in 4 star hotels. (All lies) 6. Places where they take to visit all are waste as a tour agency you need to have an proper idea where to take in what season, after taking to a place they are asking customer to imagine the place. (How Well Organized 😄)?? Still you want to choose this agency for your travel plan?? Think twice...

We went to Salalah in the end of September which is after the Khareef season was over. The number of tourists were less, hence at most of the tourist spots we had the place to ourselves. The wadis were still lush green with a few waterfalls. The beaches were pristine though the ocean looked rough. It was lovely to sit by the seashore and watch the sunset. Our itinerary was well planned. Our local tour guide Mohammed Almahdali was very friendly and accommodating. He was knowledgeable about the places we visited and also helped us experience some local cuisine. We felt very comfortable and welcomed.

We very much recommend booking with Beautiful Salalah Tours… very efficient and swift email communication. My husband and I booked two private tours to experience both East and West Salalah. Our guide, Ali Qahoor, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable on the entire area and prompt on pick up. Ali checked at the beginning of each tour what attractions we would like to see and again towards the end that we had visited everything on our wish list. When we return we will definitely book again… highly recommend!!!

Unfortunately, the waterfalls were dry since the rains hadn’t fully arrived in July, but that’s just nature! Thoroughly recommend. We had Abu Salim as our guide and had a fantastic time. With his knowledge of the area and willingness to share it with us, we very much enjoyed ourselves. A lot of ground is covered so plenty of time in the car, but if you are short of time, it is a good way of seeing more of the Dhofar region (we were very short on time). To get the best out of it you will do some mild walking, but not arduous at all. The views from the mountains are pretty amazing. As it was January and not the wet season, the water levels were low, but you see the impact of the water and the footprint created. It is also a good indication of how much water there is just inland. The sunset was magical and worth the trip alone.

Amazing trip! My wife and I went on two excursions (West and East) with The Beautiful Salalah and Mohammed Ali and had a really great experience of exploring Salalah for the first time. The excursions were organised extremely well - easy booking process, well-maintained pick up and drop off time, comfortable driving, etc. Our guide, Mohammed Ali, went above and beyond, showing us the best viewpoints, telling a lot about the places we visited and Oman overall and even sharing with us karak tea in his home town Taqah as a farewell gift (Shukran!). During the West excursion, we visited Wadi Darmat, Jabal Samhan (my favourite!), Taqah coastline and many other places. We have been to many countries before, but haven’t seen such a unique combination of different landscapes elsewhere. After the trip, we had an impression that we visited Ireland (grassy hills), Scotland (unique fog experience), Miami (ocean view), Dover (breathtaking Samhan cliffs) and Austria (the Wadi). Needless to say that we ran out of memory on our iPhones by the end of the trip. The East excursion was a bit less filled with places (because of the long trip from Mirbat where we were staying), but we still visited breathtaking Iftalqoot Area (dreamlike place, which reminded me of New Zealand), Marneef Cave and Blowholes (as beautiful as Iceland geysers) and other picturesque places. Many thanks to Mohammed Ali and The Beautiful Salalah for showing us the Dhofar region and definitely recommend them to everyone!
