Our guide, Joan, not only shared lots of interesting information, but also helped us get great photos, allowed us to practice our Spanish, and helped with all sorts of logistics. The company was very responsive to all my questions while organizing the travel parts of the trip. Highly recommend this company and this guide.

Joan was absolutely brilliant. His energy is great, he’s very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the operator at ViaTour who said the tickets for macchu picchu were included but they weren’t, we bought them separately.

My Machu Picchu visit with Mi Guia Machupicchu included a one night’s stay in Aguas Calientes, all necessary transportation/tickets, and a guide. I am so glad I chose this company because my experience was PERFECT! The team was communicative, detailed, and friendly from the beginning. Once it was time for the trip, Joan met me in-person to explain step by step how it was going to work. He even regularly checked in with me throughout the two days to ensure everything was going well. As a solo traveler, I expected the Machu Picchu tour be with a larger group, but instead, Joan told me that they hired a private guide for me so that I could get the most out of the experience. The guide they hired, Yoel, was excellent and gave me a truly unforgettable tour. Once I returned to Cusco, Joan met me as soon as I stepped off the bus and then dropped me off right at the door of my hotel. He and his team provided me top notch service from start to finish, making my visit smooth and easy. While other travelers were rushing around to buy tickets and find their way, my visit was not one bit stressful because Joan had everything so organized for me. I highly recommend Mi Guia Machupicchu!

Generally we are very independent traveler's, we hiked the Salkantay trail on our own, but I highly recommend a guide for Machu Picchu. Honestly it's almost insensitive not to, as I wouldnt have known what I was looking at or all the cultural and historical significance, and it is their cultural heritage afterall. They helped us plan out everything and were able to get us last minute passes and bus tickets that would otherwise have been unavailable and difficult to navigate on our own. Our guide spoke fluent English and was extremely knowledgeable, he stayed in communication with us the days leading up, and even offered to help us navigate the train back to Cusco. It was a great experience and a great way to see Machu Picchu, which is an absolute must. Our guide even got us to a great viewpoint which would have otherwise required a reservation made months in advance.

The trip was extremely easy to navigate, from the moment we landed in Cusco, through out Machu Picchu and even the hotel we were taken care of. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. Juan Carlos our tour guide took so many photos and showed so much excitement and passion for Machu Picchu and the culture. Views were also breath taking. 10/10 recommend to a friend!

traveling with family is not easy, but it was a smooth process with the assistance of Mi Guia, the guide picked us up from the hotel, took us to the bus line and dealt with the onboard process to get us to the ruins. Very knowledgeable and VERY good english, my sons and daughter 23, 25, 27, asked a LOT of questions, and he answered them in a very informative way

By far one of the best tours I have ever taken. My original tour was canceled hours before I was to take off and this one appeared. I booked and they were extremely helpful in getting me an entry ticket. Juan Carlos met up with me at the plaza and we rode up together. He was so informative and proud! I learned so much from the information he gave. He was also the best photographer. I usually never take photos but he told me where to stand and how to pose. I have so many photos to show my family and friends. Grateful for his help. Would recommend to everyone!

We had Emerson and Jair as our tourist guide. They were great, kind, patient and knowledgeable. We had Spanish and English speaking people in our group and everyone had a great experience. We learned a lot about the beautiful Inca culture.

Edith, my guide for Machu Picchu exceeded all expectations. From the moment she picked me up from Machu Picchu train station, I felt safe and taken care of. She was knowledgeable, not only about Machu Picchu, but about Peru’s history and it was a pure joy to learn from her why this place is named one of the seven wonders of the world. Without the understanding and the knowledge, the experience would not be as outstanding. I thank her for giving me this amazing experience.

The experience that was most impressing for me was traveling to the mountain of Machu Picchu. The vast mountains and the beautiful architecture fill every corner of your eyes like nothing else I’ve ever seen before. This isn’t the only beautiful place to visit in Peru.

I had a really good experience in Machupicchu with Mi Guia Machupicchu! My guide was Edith Fanel and she did a very professional and pleasant trip. We walked calmly around the Inkas ruins while Edith explained the history of this historic place. In a 3 hours tour, we visited every important place and had plenty of time to take pictures (Edith took my pictures as my phone run out of memory, I'm grateful). The explanations were accompanied by a book full of essential pictures. I recommend this service and Edith as a guide. Thank you!

Wonderful week of sightseeing with wonderful Juan, Edgar & Edith. They crafted personalized tours and brought good energy to keep the group engaged and happy. The vehicle is also super comfortable and plush! We were in excellent hands!

I booked the tour a few weeks before the trip. They contacted me about my travel arrangements and said they would meet me day of at 9:15 at the Aguas Calientes train station. A few day later, I contacted them to ask if the 10am entrance time to MP was appropriate as I was being asked by the ticket seller. The tour guide service said yes. Then at a later date, they texted and said for $50 more I could have a better deal and stay later at MP. I didn’t see that text but by the time I did they had retracted the offer and now were saying I needed to meet them at the gate of MP at 11am. Their written English was poor and when I asked why the change in plan, they said it was a group tour and I needed to accommodate the group and either enter at 7am or at 11am. I explained that I had paid for a small group semi-private tour of up to 4 people. But they insisted that I was wrong and said that if that had been the case I would have been charged more. When I looked at their website they appeared to have changed the tour options and details. Then they cancelled my tour the day before the trip telling me if I wanted a private tour I would need to re-book it. Of course, I chose to re-book with another company instead.

Visited Peru for the first time earlier this year with some family and friends. We arranged for private transport and tours for our group with Joan as our guide. Throughout the trip, service was always thoughtful and attentive, making any necessary changes to accommodate our needs. Thoroughly enjoyed all the knowledge and information that Joan was able to provide, but more specifically his personal experiences and stories that he shared with us. Highly recommended for anyone planning to visit Cusco. Hope to visit again in the future!

Solitude is amazing. He came to pick us up at the Hotel and left us there. We did the Machupichu and Waynapichu route, the way to tell us the story was great, we enjoyed it a lot. I recommend it, it was the best guided tour we did.

We hired me and my husband a private guide in Macchu Picchu and we had Joan, the experience was very good especially because he is a young man with experience who knows history, knows every corner of Macchu Picchu and surroundings, is not boring, and especially knows where you can take very good photos to remember your visit. It was worth paying a little more to have a private guide. We recommend it.
