Check the weather before you go! I entered at 6am- was the first one in the gate. Took photos and by 7am the clouds had moved in and obscured the view. Lots of 2-3 foot rock stairs with no railings which are a bit sketchy if you’re over 50, and especially in the rain.

The trip and route itself is not bad. 1 hour is enough to clear to complete route 1B (without tour guide) But the first time i showed the staff barcode of e-ticket, they did not accept. It made me confused a bit but fortunately we got in with help of other staff.
My trip to Peru was a last minute adventure so unbeknownst to me, Machu Picchu tickets are booked months in advance. I booked a couple tours through Trip Advisor but both ended up canceling as they did not have entry tickets to provide. I was ecstatic when I was able to get through with these guys the day before I planned to go. They were able to provide two tickets for my partner and I with a 0700 slot. When I realized the earliest possible bus/train that could get me to Machu Picchu was 0827, I reached out to them to see what other possible options I may have but got no response. I messaged three different times and nothing. I still took the chance and went but was not able to enter as you have to be there for the time on your ticket. So you can get a ticket but communication will be lacking. Also, the cost of this ticket is almost triple the cost of the normal priced tickets. I would highly recommend securing your tickets in advance or taking the two day trip where you go to Aguas Calientes to wait in line to get your ticket the day before you’d like to go. Just beware and be prepared.
Very reliable agency. It did save us from rescheduling all our program since our agency told us last minute that it didn’t managed to buy tickets to Machu Pichu.
Anthony was great and was the highlight of our day in Machu Pichu, even though the weather was not in our favor, he was patient and stayed with us until the weather cleared up and had a lot of information about the site. Would highly recommend him
Thanks VIATOR I got an official last-minute Machu Picchu ticket during a peak tourist season. I am really grateful as it was my last chance.
I left purchasing tickets until the last minute, so Viator became very handy, even though it costs a lot more. I was able to purchase a Circuit 2 for the 6am entrance and it all worked out fine. The ticket arrived electronically the day before as promised. You need to buy your own bus tickets, and I didn’t know until the day before that someone would meet me at the hotel and take me to the buses stop, which would have been nice to know before. If you have the chance to buy your tickets through the official site I would, however this is great if you can’t get them there. The tour itself was fine, not the best one I’ve been on, and certainly not the worst. Overall, a very good experience.
AMAZING!! Words can’t describe the experience. Initially we wanted circuit 2, but circuit 3 gave us EVERYTHING. We got an aerial view and got to actually walk through ruins of Machu Picchu. I recommend everyone go and see this! FYI these tickets didn’t have a guide but we honestly didn’t need it or the bus ticket up the mountain, but we bought our ticket the morning of and despite the crazy long line we got on and up the mountain well before our arrival time.
The guide Manuel is very passionate and knowledgeable. It was a fabulous tour!
William our guide was fantastic! He was well versed in Inca history and local animals/plants and traditions. He also was super funny and energetic! Tupananchikkama!
Our day was perfect! The weather was warm, the sky was blue and our guide William was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond walking us to a great restaurant when we returned. The communication the day before was also very good and before we met up. 10/10 from the 3 of us!
Treppid Travels saved my Machu Picchu trip. Before booking with them, I had booked Machu Picchu tickets with a different tour agency on Viator months in advance, but just a couple weeks before my trip, the actual tour company contacted me saying they didn’t have the ticket even though I already paid. They then led me on for the next couple weeks with empty promises saying things that didn’t make sense. Many other people I met in Machu Picchu had the same experience buying Machu Picchu tickets on Viator so buyer beware. In a last ditch effort, I booked a Machu Picchu ticket with Treppid Travels on Booking.com a day before my travel to Machu Picchu. Not only were they able to get this last minute ticket (3B), but I reached out to them to get more information about how to get an additional ticket in person at the Ministry of Culture in Aguas Calientes. The information they gave me in one conversation was better than weeks of nonsense the other tour company fed me. Treppid was very honest where the other company was clearly trying to rip me off. Based on the additional info Treppid gave me, I was able to get the exact circuit (3A) I wanted with hike up Huyana Picchu in addition to the ticket I had already purchased online. As a result, I was able to experience two incredible days in Machu Picchu!
We recently visited Machu Picchu and it was absolutely wonderful. The weather wasn’t on our side that day, but luckily it cleared up for a few minutes, which gave us some great views of the site. Our guide, Lizandro, was lovely and had a lot of patience with us. He shared fascinating stories about the history of Machu Picchu and pointed out the best photo spots along the way. A big shoutout also to Samuel, who was amazing! He helped us down in Aguas Calientes with the transport from our hotel to the bus, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. Machu Picchu itself is a 20/10 experience. My one tip: if you’re planning to visit Machu Picchu more than once, I highly recommend having a guide for at least one of the tours — it really brings the place to life.
Tour it's very nice if you're lucky with sunshine, without sunshine have nothing to do over there, because you'll see nothing but just a clouds . Very expensive, the real tickets coast cheap, but Viator resell very expensive.
overpriced but convinient as we were unable to buy tickets on the official site. tickets were sent early and went through the ticket booth no issue.
Rudy was a great tour guide ! Everything was Perfect with him from A to Z ! I clearly recommand him ! Thank you very much !
Overall great experience, we arrived by train and the guide helped us the whole way through despite it being tight for our entry time!
My experience was beyond belief. William was an awesome guide, made it fun and informative. Afterwards, William was even able to show me some food spots. 10/10 trip !
William our tour guy was very knowledgeable. He gave us so much history about the Incas that we were very impressed. He was passionate about the place and very respectful of it. He also helped me along the way as I just injured my ankle and have a hip replaced. He was very patient, respectful and caring about my welfare
April 2026. Was amazing guide to Machu Picchu!!! He knew all the history, and explained everything. Attended on 3pm tour, at the end, there were less people so we were able to walk slowly.
The view is breath taking. William is very knowledgeable and totally transforms your experience of Machu Pichu. You'll be amazed by the extent of wisdom and skills of Incas thanks to William's descriptions.
Visiting Machu Picchu was an incredible experience. Unfortunately communication with Viator was unreliable and difficult which caused some stress prior to the trip. However, our guide Edwin was very helpful on the day of the trip to Machu Picchu. He met us at the hotel and ensured we had all our documentation ready and facilitated the bus transportation. He recommended the best side of the bus to sit giving us the best views. Edwin made the entry to Machu Picchu flawless amongst the chaos. Edwin was very knowledgeable, friendly and even took some great photos of us. Our experience with Viator was redeemed because of the friendliness and professionalism of Edwin.
Fantastic! Just trust the process, I was nervous while booking official circuit 2 tickets with them but I trusted them and it was the best decision I made. Also 5 stars to our guide Miguel, he’s amazing and he also takes great pictures of you to make it more memorable. Highly recommended!!!
Rudy was an exceptional tour guide. This company really came through for us and was able to get us tickets last minute. Very reliable company, trustworthy knowledgeable, guide…. picked us right up from our hotel in Aguas Caliente.
Wow! Machu Picchu!! This tour was awesome because it made sure we could still do Circuit 2 even though they were sold out online!! Definitely recommend doing this tour!!!
10/10 recommend this tour!! Circuit 2 is by far the best of them all, and our tour guide Manuel was awesome. Weather was great (11am tour) but it did rain in the afternoon which made the experience even cooler. Manuel is the best and I recommend this tour!
This experience made visiting Machu Picchu such an easy and rewarding experience. Guides pick you up right from your hotel/hostel and lead you through the full circuit we spent about 5 hours in total, from being picked up at 6am from our hostel, to being dropped off by bus back in town around 11-12. Going in February made for smaller crowds and we ended up with a private tour of Machu Picchu. Having a knowledgable guide who knew the history and general pace of where you want to spend your time, stop for pictures, etc definitely made the trip more worth while. We did route 2-A and it gave us amazing views from above of the city and surrounding area, along with a tour of the city itself. Definitely glad we chose this one. Worth the fee but note that when booking, it may not include the bus ride up the mountain.
Amazing tour. Miguel paced the visit perfectly between the views, photos, lessons, and breaks. Communication had us worried in the days leading up to the trip, but the day before it was all cleared up and the tour went off without a hitch. Go early, get circuit 2, and hope you get Miguel. Thank you Treppid!
I wasn’t able to make it, my bus didn’t allow me to make it on time. There earliest bus from ollantaytambo was 6:40 and didn’t get up to Machupicchu till after 8am and they did not allow me in.
We had a very good experience with Treppid Travels - it was great to get in front of the queues to the buses for MP. Moreover, Lizandro was a great guide and provided a lot of insights about Machu Picchu and gave enough time for viewing the scenery and taking pictures
I have to say thank you for an amazing experience at Machu Picchu. Visiting there was an item on my bucket list and I am so glad to have done it! And I have to give a lot of thanks to my amazing guide Edwin. I ended up paying for a private tour as I needed to move more slowly than others due to a knee injury (I didn't want to slow people down, nor did I want to speed up unnecessairly). Edwin was very understanding of that and we moved at a pace that was both healthy and helpful for me. And we still covered everything! Besides being responsible and adaptive to needs, Edwin was also very knowledgeable about the site and provided lots of additional context and details beyond the simple explanation. I really appreciated that he could sense what I was interested in and wanted to know more about, as well as the fact that he was open to lots of questions (note: I am the person on tours that really wants to know the details, and I unapologetically ask questions to make sure I understand or satisfy my curiousity). Additionally, I really appreciated that in setting our pace, he was considering things like weather and other factors (important during low season as mist comes and goes very quickly) to make sure we avoided rain, could take clear pictures of picturesque moments, and navigate the crowds to get relatively peaceful moments to really take in the architecture. Outside of the explanation of the major things, it was also great to get to know Edwin personally and hear his stories and experience as a guide who has been doing this for awhile. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and can recommend Treppid Travels. Hopefully you get as good luck as I did and get Edwin as a tour guide - you won't be disappointed!
Lisandro is a passionate and knowledgeable guide. He also gave us ample time to take pictures and offered assistance throughout the entire tour. We learned a lot! It was an intimate group of 6, so it was easy to follow and listen to your guide.
Hi :) Really really really good moment! The guid is really great 🫶 Thanks Lisandro for this moment 🤌 Lisandro is really interesting and learn you too many things about « Ierta Pata » Thanks Lisandro By a french guys
My parents came to visit me in Peru this week and it was a must that we came to Machu Picchu. We did Circuit 1 which was a great view of the ruins. Our tour guide Lizandro was very informative and we learned a lot. I would highly reccomend coming to see this beautiful site and using a guide in your native language.
I would not buy tickets through Trip Advisor again for Machu Picchu. They do not specify that there are three different circuits (hiking areas) for Machu Picchu. You need tickets to include all of them. This was just for Circuit 1. We were allowed to enter Circuit 2 after talking to the staff and upgrading. We bought tickets for the second day from the Ministerio de Cultura right next to the square in Aguas Calientes. They explained everything well to us. I speak Spanish, but they also spoke English. Highly recommend this route over buying them online.
Well organized tour! I wrote to them on WhatsApp to get the tickets earlier and they delivered. Our guide was punctual, knowledgeable and took great photos!
We had an incredible time at Machu Picchu. Our guide Manuel was wonderful. He explained everything thoroughly and ensured the tour ran smoothly. Definitely recommend.

In the end our tickets were electronically delivered as stated. I did not receive responses when messaging the outfitter prior to the date. This caused me undo concern but again everything worked out fine.
Go early morning and less crowds. Fantastic experience. Efficient bus service. I hiked down after visiting Machu Picchu. Nice easy hike.
We were really skeptical but it all worked. Their communication wasn't great to begin with so we were worried, but tickets arrived fine and on time. Definitely would recommend if you haven't been able to get tickets on the official site
Our tickets were sent to us just less than 24 hours before our allotted time. Had no problems with the tickets great service!
i was very skeptical abt these tickets (and kinda annoying about it) but it’s legit. my two tickets for circuit 1 worked, got them two days before. kinda pricey but worth it bc i definitely didn’t want to line up in aguas calientes lol. thank you so much!!!
Tickets are legit. They send you a pdf. You can request the specific date and circuit. They mention your name and passport number correctly aswell.
We purchased these tickets months ago realising that we had left it too late for buying circuit 2 tickets, the price was reasonable and the company gave me all the information I asked for (details about the trip and also cost of guides etc). They message you quite close to the trip time but I wanted my tickets earlier to be sure it was legitimate. Whilst It took a while to hear back the tickets were authentic and happy with our purchase.
Machu Picchu was incredible, but experience buying ticket through Viator was extremely disappointing and would recommend buying direct. They could never verify my ticket so I needed to make alternative plans to buy my own ticket given that entrance to Machu Picchu has a limited amount of tickets and usually sells out well in advance during peak season.
It works!! Got my entrance ticket. Received my tickets the evening before my visit, very seamless overall
Great experience, my wife loved it. Tickets delivered on time, customer service answered all questions always.
I received the emails in advance after I requested them because I didn’t want to wait to have them in hand until just the day before. They complied quickly and without issue! I was grateful and quickly given peace of mind! I’d highly recommend this experience to someone who may not have planned their trip up to Machu Picchu with many months in advance and missed out on getting a good circuit. I was very happy to be able to still do circuit 2 with my elderly parents who needed something “easier.” There are many steps so be mindful of that. This is a legitimate agency and I would highly recommend them to anyone!
everything was amazing Machu Picchu was one of the best expiriences in our lives and easy choice of data and selection tge type of the ticket
