What a wonderful morning with Elder and the ancient citidel. He met us off the train the evening before and escorted us to our hotel. He picked us up the next morning in the lobby, and off to to the bus where a very comfortable, airplanes conditioned coach was awaiting us. Extremely knowledgeable and informative, 2.5 hrs spent was breathtaking at every turn. Would recommend whole heartedly. He even recommended a fabulous place to eat afterwards. Elder is a very good guide and the tour is perfect. Thanks!!! Also it is a bit more expensive but you don't have to think about anything and booking machu picchu is not easy

When travelling, stuff can happen but it is terrific that you know someone is there to look after this is how I would describe Cosmo Expeditions. I planned another tour with another operator and Cosmo where there to bail me out in the last minute. In terms of service their guides were just fabulous. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. We are extremely happy with their services!! After our original booked trip with another company fell through just a few days before the planned visit to Machu Pichu, me and my husband booked with this company in hopes that we will still be able to visit the sight. I have to say, we are extremely grateful to them for making it happen for us!! After booking, they called us, came up with a plan and booked 2 tickets just 3 days before visiting Machu Pichu, which is nearly impossible with any other company. The communication throughout was impeccable. Elder was our private guide, he greeted us at the train station upon arriving, helped us get on the bus promptly, and then guided us through Machu Pichu with amazing stories. Not to mention his photo/video skills!! He really went above and beyond! He knew what are the best spots for photos, and even what pose to take. Again, thank you for going above and beyond and making it happen for us!

When booking, we clicked “check availability,” and the next screen showed that tickets for Circuit 1 (panoramic view of Machu Picchu) were available on the desired date at 9 am. We selected this option. However, the day before the tour, the tour operator told us we had to accept a 7 am tour instead of 9 am. This was inconvenient because it caused us to lose sleep. However, it was nowhere near as bad as what happened the day of the tour… our guide led us directly from the bus to the entrance gate for Circuit 3 (royal circuit) instead of Circuit 1 (panoramic view). We immediately told the guide that we booked Circuit 1 not Circuit 3, but he told us that Circuit 3 was all that was available. He also told us we had to go through the gate for Circuit 3 within 15 minutes or else we would lose the tickets altogether. Our options were either accept something that didn’t purchase or accept nothing at all. We told him we couldn’t do Circuit 3 because we had ALREADY BOOKED Circuit 3 tickets for the following day through another tour operator. He told us not to worry, that he would work with the other operator to change their tickets to Circuit 1. This turned out to be a complete lie. He was promising something he couldn’t deliver. It ruined our trip. We went ahead and accepted the Circuit 3 tour based on the false promise that the operator could arrange Circuit 1 tickets for the following day. We could not get our money back in the end because we were told that, after all, we were provided with tickets and a tour. The operator was unsympathetic to the fact that we did NOT receive the tickets or tour that we had specifically reserved at the time of booking.

Elder was great! Everything went smooth, I would highly recommend using him as a tour guide!

We had an amazing private guide with Elder!! He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions about Machu Picchu. I greatly enjoyed how in-depth he went with the history of the Incas. His photography skills were impeccable and made sure we went to the best locations for pictures within our circuit! I would book with him again!

The bus ride went as expected. It was punctual, drove safely, took us up to Machu Picchu and drove us back down to Aguas Calientes.

This excursion was very well curated. We had the opportunity to book a private car ride from our hotel in Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Once we arrived in Aguas Calientes, Elder, our guide, greeted us and had us moving on time. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, with a great attitude and kindness. Viator sold me tickets that were not available. I received a WhatsApp call the night before telling me there are no 10am tickets. And my only choice was to take the 7am tickets. I also did not get the circuit I purchased, with the views I wanted.

Dennis, who booked our tickets, was dedicated about both communication and adjusting to our needs, despite it being a last minute booking. Our tour guide, Cesar, was knowledgeable and passionate about Machu Pichu. He knew a lot of people in the park, and as a result it was a seamless and enjoyable experience. Afterward, he rode the bus with us and made sure we made it to a good place for lunch before our train departed. If you're going to Machu Pichu, book through Dennis, and make sure you ask for Cesar as your guide. 10 stars out of 5. Amazing.

It’s a great experience. Elder was very informative about the history of the area and helped answer all my questions. He also was patient about waiting for me to catch my breath as we climbed. The air is very thin so be ready for that. Highly recommend this activity.

Machu Picchu is breathtakingly beautiful, important and a powerful place to experience. But it was our guide Jorge Elder who made it a REAL day to remember. He was friendly, knowledgeable (everything from the structures, history to the flora and fauna) and elevated an already amazing experience. If you ever consider coming to Machu Picchu, he is your man!!

the guide was great it was not clear what circuit i was taking. i thought i book 2a but i got 1a

We booked the tour to tour Machu Picchu in July 2026. Julio was my POC all through and ensured I was updated every step of the way. We wanted to do a circuit 2, however they were out by the time we booked. Julio helped me with the various options given we could not procure Circuit 2 tickets, but promised that we would have an amazing time in Circuit 1. And they delivered very well on the promise. Our guide for the day was Ruben and he ensured we were prepped from the time they assigned him to our family. He walked us through the entire plan and what we should be prepared for. On the day of the tour, he met us right on time and helped us navigate the process very smoothly to get to Machu Picchu. Ruben was very patient and explained the history and the details of the historical ruins and ensured we had a memorable experience that we too back with us. I would definitely recommend Cosmo Expeditions (Julio and Ruben) for any of your future Machu Picchu tours or any other Peru tours.

They helped me with far more than a Machu Picchu tour, which by the way was fantastic. I used this guide communicating on WhatsApp for a full day of site visits in the sacred valley with amazing guide Danilo. He also took my luggage to Cusco from sacred valley since you cannot travel with large luggage to Machu Picchu. Communication was perfect and everyone was so informative and trustworthy. Highly recommend!!! 12/10

Jorge was our guide to Machu Picchu. He was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. From the day before our trip when he met us at the hotel to explain everything and accompanied us to the Ministry of Culture to buy the circuit 2 tickets we preferred, to meeting us the next morning at our hotel, leading us to the bus, guiding us up the mountain, and stopping periodically to explain the history and culture of his people, and finally escorting us to an amazing restaurant, it was fabulous! Perfect communication from start to finish!

Caesar went above and beyond to get us tickets for Machu Picchu. From the moment we arrived in Aguas Calientes, he was waiting for us with a sign with our names, and got us over to the agency office ASAP, where we got in line for the in-person allocation tickets for two days from then. We only had to wait in line less than 10 minutes, and it was a very easy process. Then, when it came time for our tour, Caesar made sure to make it a fantastic time for us. We had incredible weather and beautiful views. We stopped to soak in the views and take all the photos (Caesar is a great photographer who took photos with both our phones and our nice camera). Machu Picchu is truly a wonder of the world, and Caesar completely made our entire trip to Peru.

Have circuit 3 and wish we have circuit 2 When we reserved tickets on January We add some stress 3 weeks before we leave because we don t have the tickets Need to change plan for our trip It was not fun Just 3 days before we knew that the tour operators had our tickets

Mr Denis was extremely helpful. He could get us last minute one day ticket just as required.it was an amazing and smooth experience. Awesome experience! Dennis arranged our transportation from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, and it was amazing. Don Guille, our driver, was incredibly knowledgeable about every town we passed through, making the journey feel like a mini tour itself. We then took the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu), which gave us a chance to experience a bit of the local culture. There, we met Jorge, our guide, who was very friendly, informative, and highly knowledgeable about the ancient city. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend them — 10/10!

I decided to do Machu Picchu a little spur of the moment…about 6 weeks out and during the high season. The organizer, Dennis, went above and beyond to ensure my visit went off without a hitch. Despite my late planning he worked tirelessly to get me a ticket to Machu Picchu. We communicated via WhatsApp and he responded to all my questions and those of my travel agent, even calling several times. The actual guided experience was also fantastic. Our guide, Ronald, was informed and made sure we got all the best photo ops and treatment. Great experience!

Despite a computer glitch causing issue to secure entrance tickets to Machu Picchu our touroperator went all out to arrange the entrance.. we had a wonderful visit, great views, and a tourguide explaining the history. On top of all our touroperator arranged changes to our train ticket and arranged airport transfer. Yes issues can arise but in the end what matters is how things are picked up and resolved and in other case that went very well.. Our thanks to Dennis and Cesar
