Loved the husky ride and experience at Baba Husky! The dogs were well cared for and the Baba Husky team was happy to answer our questions and let us interact with the dogs. The 5km tour was the perfect length for our group. The provided boots and outerwear kept us warm and dry throughout the tour! They even went above and beyond and helped me pull my car out of a snow bank! Can't say enough good things about Baba Husky! Awesome experience!
The best experience in Finland so far! Excitement of dogs, amazing guide! Highly recommend, family friendly!
We did the 5 km mushing tour with Baba Husky and had a really great experience. My 14-year-old son actually chose the company himself, and I first contacted them through Instagram. From the very beginning, they were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which already gave us a good feeling. We booked the pickup from the city center in Rovaniemi, and Jim was the one who picked us up. He was very welcoming and clearly knows a lot about the dogs. On the way, he shared stories about them and answered our questions, which made the whole experience feel more personal. At the kennel, our guide Jędrzej was amazing. He explained everything about the dogs and how the kennel works, and you could really see his passion. He made sure we understood what to do and felt comfortable before we started. The tour itself was unforgettable, and my son absolutely loved it. He’s begging me to come back to his new friend Dakota ( the lead dog for our sledge).
Our guide was terrific, it was a great experience, and the place seems to really really care about the dogs. They were well cared for, well-adjusted and friendly.
It was a fun and enjoyable experience! Our guide Lautaro was ready to answer all questions and very attentive the whole time. The dogs are a joy to spend some time with! We got a little tour of the kennel prior to our sled-ride and after the tour there was the chance to pet the dogs on the lines and take pictures with them. The tour ended with hot drinks, cookies, an explanation about the huskies and life at the kennel, and some cute souvenir stickers. They provided us with all the thermal clothing needed to make our ride comfortable even in freezing weather. The landscapes we passed throughout our ride were absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend a tour with Baba Husky!
We had an excellent time with the Baba Husky ride! We were kept warm, staff Camille took the time to introduce us to the dogs, and the dogs were absolutely friendly and lovable. We were able to get some beautiful photos and a fantastic experience overall. Ray from the Philippines
Gliding through the Arctic wilderness on a husky sled with Baba Husky feels like stepping into a winter fairytale. From the moment the dogs greet you—tails wagging, eyes bright with excitement—you can feel their pure joy and energy. As the sled sets off, the huskies work in perfect rhythm, their soft breaths and the gentle swish of runners over snow creating a calm, almost magical silence. The trail winds through a breathtaking snow-covered landscape: tall pine trees dusted in white, frozen lakes shimmering under the pale winter light, and endless stretches of untouched snow that make the world feel wonderfully still. Guided by passionate and caring mushers, the experience feels authentic and heart-warming. It’s not just a ride—it’s a moment of freedom, serenity, and awe, where time slows down and you’re completely present in the beauty of the Arctic, carried forward by a team of incredible dogs who truly love what they do.

AMAZING! All dogs were super adorable and great at their job. I was quite surprised by the worker remembering all their dogs name and there were A LOT of dogs there. Instruction was very clear and we had a lot of fun! Definitely some place I would love to come back
It was very fun and fresh experinace for our Family, this is „must have” for everyone who discover Rovaniemi. Thank Baba Husky!
Absolutely fantastic. Best experience I have had during my time here. The animals are well looked after.
We had a great tour and we learned about how they take care of the huskies during the long winter days. We ended the tour with a hot chocolate by the fire, very cozy!
The introduction sounded like an extreme sport experience (ie. „always use two hands”, „mind the steps on the slides”, „use the break to not overspeed”, etc.) but in reality it was tooo slooow. I can understand the safety-first policy or smaller children in the group, but for 10+ yo. Ones it was way below the expectations. For real this should be improved. Especially for such price.
The husky ride exceeded all expectations. The dogs are incredibly fast, energetic, and at the same time very cute. The atmosphere was truly magical, and the experience was unforgettable. Highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting!
Excellent experience. Cat (our guide) was very friendly and knowledgeable. The dogs were brilliant. The facilities were all new and clean. The time with the dogs was perfect. My only "even better if" bit of feedback was that the pickup instructions were unclear. Knowing the brand of the taxi and the exact pickup location (inside the hotel lobby, rather than outside the hotel as I had wrongly assumed) would have made it more relaxing. But this is absolutely minor and I appreciate that the taxi was included in the booking for simplicity.
I cannot emphasise how much I enjoyed this experience! My top priority when first researching Husky Adventures was to check if it had an ethical practice, and BabaHusky definitely met that requirement! From reading the story about Baba and how Baba Husky came to be, I knew this was the kind of business I could support, one that didn't feel like a business and more like a family! The dogs were so excited from the minute they saw everyone, jumping for joy hoping to get picked. The ride itself was incredible and being the Musher was so much fun!! My friend and I had the best time and we were singing Christmas carols the entire way :D The staff were super friendly and helpful, shout out to Jedrzej who led our safari and gave us the information in the hut afterwards as we warmed up! You can tell they really care about the dogs and were happy to answer any questions. The only thing I wish was that there was a little more time to cuddle with the huskies afterwards. You do get time to pat them and say hi, but being a dog lover I would've loved maybe an extra 10 minutes with them to really soak it in. But that is the only thing that could be changed, everything else was 100/100 and I would go back in a heartbeat to experience this. As we were walking back to the hut to change out of the ski gear we were saying how much we would've loved to stay another few hours doing it we had that much fun!
There is business — and with business often comes greed. There are seasonal activities — and with those comes unpredictable climate. My experience in Lapland recently highlighted both of these truths. Arriving on our second day of winter, we naturally expected snow, beauty, and cold. Instead, December 2025 gave us +6 degrees and rain. The Husky safari company we had booked with called us on the morning of the activity and offered the option to cancel due to the lack of snow and poor conditions. I was genuinely surprised. Every cancellation means lost income for them. No matter the weather, the Huskies still need to be run, fed, and cared for, and all operating costs remain. The fact that this couple running the safari put the customer experience first — above profit — is exactly why I highly recommend them. They run the business themselves, and from what I understand, they also have a young child. Balancing life, dogs, weather, and customers is not easy. Seeing their empathy and passion was humbling. Even though conditions weren’t ideal, we chose to continue with the safari. They provided us with a guide (understandably, since driving the Huskies ourselves wasn’t safe in the wet conditions). Yet my three-year-old still had the experience of a lifetime. Travellers need to remember that the climate is changing, and operators cannot control the weather. They should not be punished for things out of their hands — especially when they are still willing to give you the best experience possible. Let’s support these small operators so they can continue to grow and survive. The Huskies had been relocated from previous years, and the couple has built a beautiful little establishment. I wish them nothing but the best in the future.
Very nice experience. We could only book the 5km tour and would have preferred the 10km which was no longer available. The tour guide was really good and shared some really interesting information about the dogs and the northern lifestyle.
We visited Baba Husky this morning as part of our 5km Husky activity booked through Safartica. Marcin took us out, I think we were the first ride of the day and the dogs were happy and excited to pull the sledge. Marcin was the musher for us and was great, he chatted along the way and you could tell that he loved what he did and was really experienced. When we arrived back we sat in the yurt and his wife spoke about the dogs and how they work. It was lovely and warm and we were offered cookies, hot chocolate, tea and coffee. I really couldn’t fault the service received from Safartica and especially from Baba Husky, the dogs were great and our son loved walking around the kennels after the ride. We have some great photos of the day and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a husky ride. We didn’t do the reindeer ride but heard some really positive things on the coach going back. Thank you for a great experience.
BaBa Husky are absolutely amazing . Every single aspect of this Husky Ride and vsit was incredible . The booking and communication were both efficient and fast . The Guides were so friendly and informative and the scenery was stunning. Moreover, the dogs were just beautiful. They were energetic and so obviously very well cared for and loved. I would highly recommend BaBa Husky
Fantastic Husky Ride. We were lucky: beautiful weather and only a booking at that time so a “private Tour”. But beautiful surroundings, excellent guide (Jip) and plenty of time to also visit the kennel and get further explanation. Top experience!
Super przygoda!
Norbi i Marzenka😍😍😍
Jesteśmy pod ogromnym wrażeniem wyprawy zorganizowanej prze Baba Husky. Niesamowicie uprzejmi, pomocni. Pełen profesjonalizm. Dziękujemy za cudowny czas!!!!
We struggled to find their website but it was a total success, for price and experience. Camila welcomed us with a smile and accompanied us all the time showing us the dog enclosures and answering all the questions we had... and there were not many. Then she explained how to drive the sled and we went out to do the route with her leading. In total we stayed about 25 or 30 minutes of route with the sleds and halfway we stopped to take some pictures. Upon returning, the children had a good time playing with the dogs and then accompanied us for a hot chocolate and some cookies in a cabin with a good fire to get warm. Dogs look very well kept and clean. They have just moved to this location and all the clothes and boots they lend you are practically new. I definitely recommend anyone to come here for the punctuality, the length of the walk and the friendliness of the staff, especially Camila. Thank you so much for the nice time!!
