The tour itself was great, and the location was beautiful, although there was less snow than expected. The guide explained the rules, provided the proper gear, and we set off on about a 30-minute ride one way (roughly an hour round trip if you keep a steady pace). Because of the limited snow, it was a bit tricky at the beginning navigating through vegetation, but it improved as we continued. That said, I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 for the following reasons: 1. We were a group of four couples, and two of those couples were Spanish speakers. The guide was constantly engaged with them, almost to the point of ignoring the rest of us. He would only come to us to ask if we want pics and to give us some juice and cookies. Instead of sharing information about the locations we were exploring or keeping the whole group involved - especially at key points like uphill stops - he focused his attention on them. It honestly felt disrespectful and unprofessional. As a guide, you should communicate in a way that includes everyone, not just a part of the group. We ended up standing around with no context, taking pictures on our own because nothing was being explained to us. 2. When we were getting our gear, we were asked to sign a liability contract, which is completely understandable. However, the contract was only available in French and Spanish. While the guide did explain it verbally, it’s simply not acceptable that there were no English copies available at all, especially when they knew they have a tour to operate! We basically had no choice but to sign a document we couldn’t read or fully understand, which is a serious issue. Based on this experience, would I choose this company again for other activities? Absolutely not.

Very safe, controlled experience to snowmobile in the Finnish forest. Would be better if we all get one snowmobile each!
What a great day our guide Daniella was amazing, there were a few mishaps due to weather but she stayed so calm and re organised everything so it almost ran smoothly 😂😂thank you Danielle for making our day so memorable x
I have made a tour with the Lapland Agency March 2026. The tour consisted of a trip with the snowmobile through the amazing artic nature of Rovaniemi. The tour was managed by the tour leader Alessia, which explained us very precisely the rules we had to follow when driving our snowmobile through the nature and leaded the group tour, giving us signals on when to run and stop. We were very lucky to have Alessia as a tour leader, as she did not limit to explaining us the rules and leading the group, but also was very good at creating a good social atmosphere between all the people in the group. Beyond this, the tour is very good if what your are looking for is to see an amazing landscape while trying the experience of driving a snowmobile .
5 stars!!! We had such an amazing experience on the snowmobiles with our guides Daniela and Alessia. Would absolutely recommend.
We booked the Snowmobile on Private Trails and really enjoyed the experience. Mikka collected us from our accommodation at 2:30pm. He is a great guy - friendly, informative, caring, dedicated. We drove to Rovaniemi and picked up three others before stopping at the Staylapland HQ to get dressed for the cold - although we were quite well dressed already, they provide overalls, gloves, balaclavas, socks and boots more suitable for the conditions we'd experience later. And helmets os course. There was no rush - it was really well organised. We then set off in two minibuses for the 30-minute drive to Staylapland's private trails to the north-west of Rovaniemi. A relaxing drive and after leaving the main road we drove along snow-covered tracks. On arrival we were carefully shown how to operate the snowmobiles - again, no rush and we felt safe. Then off we went! We were about 8 snowmobiles with two on each. Mikka was up front with a sledge carrying a child, and the second guide followed at the rear. The snowmobiles hold the tracks carved by others to some extent, but it was still an enjoyable challenge to keep going where we should be going and it was bumpy :-). After a while we stopped and Mikka checked we were all ok - again, great care for the guests. We stopped in a remote location for a break where we were served hot berry juice and cookies - it was relaxing and enjoyable chatting away. The off we went again and finally we were back to the start. Another 30-minute drive back to Rovaniemi, getting changed and then we were driven back to our accommodation - again with interesting and insightful chats with Mikka. It was just before 7pm when we were dropped off - a total of 4.5 hours, which was great. Thanks to Mikka and Staylapland for this experience, which we think is also well priced.
We had a fantastic time with our guide Andoni, who was super friendly and gave us great conversation! We really enjoyed our tour with him. The snowmobiles were not hard to learn at all and we could go at our own pace. Would definitely recommend this!
Great ride and experience in the arctic forest with Makko and Assaear - very friendly and helpful too - riding snowmobiles was exciting and thrilling
As a solo traveller, I booked a snowmobile tour and I have to say it was amazing! The people were so kind. I had the chance to share great moments with a wonderful family from the Philippines. I'm from Argentina, and being there was the best adventure of my life. I hope to come back and enjoy more adventures with StayLapland in the future.
An amazing snowmobile tour! The experience was unforgettable, and our guide , Alejandro, made it even more special. Highly recommend this tour in Rovaniemi for anyone looking for an exciting adventure in the snow! :)
Awesome trip and beautiful scenery. Our guide Sofia was very welcoming and did a great job at explaining how to use the snowmobile as well as ensuring our safety along the way.
Our experience with the snowmobile was absolutely such a great fun during our stay in Rovaniemi. Jesus collected from our accommodation and then we got extra suit from the office. We had a frozen lake and a forest to explore and Jesus was so helpful and friendly that made our day! 5 stars 🌟 Thank you so much!
It was amazing! We had the best tour guy Jesus that shared a lot of valuable info about Finland, language, forests and more! If we come again we will go again and on other adventures! Thank you very much, it was a blast!
The scooter trip was amazing! Tommi, our guide, showed us stunning views and learned us how to scooter!
Fun and safe experience for children. Friendly guides and attentive to everyone's safety. Lovely landscapes.
Today it was very difficult to drive, but also very fun. The snow was very deep off the narrow slopes and you quickly got stuck with your snowmobile. We were a small group of only 5 snowmobiles, of which 3 (incl. guide) got stuck and one didn't want to continue driving himself right at the beginning. It was still very fun and we had a lot to laugh about due to the funny situation due to the deep snow. Our guide Danielle was very sympathetic and worried that nothing would happen to anyone and she brought us home safely again.
Was a great experience with a great guide! We were fortunate that we were the only participants and thus had a "private" tour! Sergio is a very great guide!
Very good in all aspects, well planned punctuality excellent service friendly guide super rik el Te
French guide specified during the booking but unfortunately unavailable during the activity!!!! Fortunately a Belgian speaking French kindly translated the instructions especially those relating to the use of snowmobiles. If you have to park at the agency of Rovaniemi provide the parking meter. A van picks you up (other customers are already installed there but max 8 people) and it takes well 40min of transit to reach the place where the snowmobiles are parked. We're four snowmobiles following the guide. A stop halfway to take beautiful photos, drink a red juice and snack a few pts cakes.
RECOMMENDED 100%, we even repeat the next day. An exciting experience, the bikes, the snow, the sky..., the barbecue... the very warm attention from our guides, Joan and the girl (I don't remember name) and the next day Asier and Ignacio, the 4 made this activity unforgettable!
We did the snowmobile tour, we had a great time, everything perfectly explained. Two Spanish guides, professionalism of 10. Marina, Asier and Rosa were excellent as guides, even more as people, they took care of my son as if he were theirs. If I ever go back to Rovaniemi, I'll find them for sure.
That was great. Tommy came to pick us up at the accommodation and explained everything wonderful, very friendly. He even played us Spanish music in the car and sang with us. They lent us all the equipment and the experience on the bikes was spectacular. Being able to drive near the trees was wonderful. We had a 5 year old sled and I also enjoyed a lot. We all ended up delighted with the experience. Organization of 10
Our Canarian guide Alejandro is great and made us enjoy the experience for authentic landscapes. They invited us to tea and cookies on the shore of an icy lake. Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful experience We also did the husky safari and fishing on the frozen lake Special thanks to our guide Alejandro
We had booked the Aurora tour but the weather did not allow us to go so we asked to organize the tour with the snowmobile. We also requested Alejandro as a guide because he speaks Italian and we had a great time the day before (we had a sauna). The agency has made itself available to fulfill our requests. Beautiful experience was just the 3 of us with the guide. We had a nice ride through the woods and then he took us to the frozen lake and left us free to shoot for a while! To do absolutely!
Excellent snowmobile hike 👍 accompanied by Pedro, a super passionate guide. We can only recommend 👍👍😉
Awesome. The landscape is unique, anywhere you look is a postcard. The experience with snowmobiles is magnificent, exciting. Jesús went out of his way to make the day perfect and he achieved it.
The activity was incredible, one of the best experiences I have had in life, the treatment was excellent Belén was always attentive, and Jesús, our guide, is a person who knows very well about his work and in minutes he told us about the history of Finland and Rovaniemi. I recommend StayLapland, they are super professional.
