The zoo was filled with animals that you don’t always see in the states. Toni was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the animals and sprinkled in several fun facts about Finland. He made the trip even better!

An amazing experience. Went during the beginning of November so no snow but a bit of rain. Toni our guide was fantastic from the very beginning, picking us up from our location and giving us an amazing guide around the zoo. Would absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Rovaniemi. Really good for the price with transport, tour, ticket price and food all included.

The wildlife park was beautiful, and seeing Arctic animals in a natural snowy setting was a unique experience. The BBQ lunch was warm and satusfying enough — perfect for the cold weather. What truly made the tour exceptional was our guide Mirco. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and very informative. His knowledge about the animals and life in Lapland made the experience much more meaningful. He was kind, attentive, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the day. He also took amazing professional-quality photos for us, which was such a bonus! We were so impressed that we immediately booked the Riisitunturi Snow Monsters tour just to have him as our guide again. Highly recommended!
Arctic Zoo was a wonderful experience. We were also very fortunate to have our guide, Mirco. The best! He was super punctual with the pick-up, gave great explanations, and was very friendly. We truly had a fantastic day. We would definitely do it again.
Mirco was our guide on this tour and we honestly couldn’t fault him. His professionalism and knowledge of the animals were outstanding. As a family, we love visiting zoos and have seen some incredible animals over the years, but this experience was something else entirely. Being taken around by Mirco, hearing the history of the zoo and the animals (where they came from, their ages, and their stories), alongside learning about Finnish culture along the way, made it truly special. Mirco was fantastic with the children — patient, engaging, and really knowledgeable. The BBQ he prepared for us was delicious, and a lovely added touch. A real highlight was the surprise the following morning when we received the professional photos Mirco had taken of our family with the animals during the tour. That was completely unexpected and so appreciated. We would highly recommend this tour to any animal enthusiast, and Mirco as a tour guide — an unforgettable experience.

Mirco was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and the environment, and it was such a joy learning from someone who clearly lives for what they do. His passion really elevated the whole experience! The BBQ was a fantastic bonus and such a lovely touch that brought everything together. Wonderful must do experience... our guide was attentive and supportive to all our needs and questions... the below 25 degrees was a bit harsh to stay that long outside.... lunch was great and the fire made the experience wonderful

Great day out at Ranua Zoo with Max. Admission fee was included in the price and we spent about 4 hours there. We were a small group and allowed to take our time and get the most out of the experience. Stopped to have Max make us a fire and cook marshmallows and sausages before finishing our way round and ending in the gift shop. Overall a great experience that our guide Max made even more enjoyable!
We booked all three activities in Lapland via Book Lapland (husky ride, Santa Claus Village visit, and the Ranua Arctic Wildlife Zoo tour) and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Everything was well-planned, on time, and easy — no stress at all. What we loved most is that each tour included pick-up from our apartment, which made a big difference for us (especially with kids). It shortened our travel time, simplified the whole logistics, and helped us save money compared to arranging transport on our own. The Ranua Zoo day stood out the most because it was the longest trip and the toughest weather-wise — but our guide Toni handled everything with great professionalism, keeping the atmosphere fun while ensuring everyone felt safe. My sister and me were traveling with two small children and felt comfortable the entire time. Toni even offered to take photos of us (with a professional camera!), and he clearly has great knowledge about the animals and strong experience driving in winter conditions. Warm recommendation for Book Lapland!
It was great and well organised tour. We had pick up at our appartment, the ZOO was beautiful and the guide took us back to Rovaniemi, directly to the airport. The guide Toni was well prepared and all made us a great day!
