Extraordinary experience, met the local staff to book, discussing weather conditions.Our tour was with Andi, who is a caring guy and a good and safe driver ( you drive overland at night, reindeers xing and heavy lorries speeding!) The Mini Van is very comfortable for average size and also tall people.We made it to Swedish Lappland till the sky was clear enough...and the place we stopped was marvelous showing us the northern lights behind a scenery of trees and water. Travelers, Be Aware Booking.com's Scam! Booking.com has denied a refund it promised against all the evidence and then made up various excuses. In April this year, I booked a hotel in Reykjavik through B.com. On 4/12 B.Com confirmed in an email that the payment was successful and the payment appeared on my credit card on 4/14. When I cancelled the reservation, B.Com emailed me to confirm the free cancellation and promised that a refund was on the way. More than 5 months have passed and I've made 14 appeals for a refund. B.com responded variously as 1) I didn't cancel the reservation; 2) B.com didn't captured the payment; 3) B.com is reprocessing the refund. The first two responses completely disregarded the documented evidence from B.com itself that I've sent them. As for the 3rd response, no refund has ever come. It is such a disgrace that has completely undermined my trust in B.com. Any reporters on this site should investigate and report on its fraudulent practice.

Our guide Ilker knew exactly what he was doing. He was very kind and knowledgeable, he told us a lot about the Northern Lights, and with a little patience, he allowed us to witness an incredible show beyond all expectations and forecast!

Our guide SK is amazing; not only is she was committed to hunt down the best aurora, she explained everything about the phenomenon, and was very pleasant to have a conversation with! In the end we saw dancing auroras! Which is also a testament to her as an aurora hunter!

Our guide, Ilker, was fantastic. Due to weather conditions, we had to travel until around 2:00 AM, but the aurora was truly beautiful, making it an amazing experience.

We were very happy with our experience, our guide Artur spared no effort to find the Aurora, and we did see it! It was a really nice atmosphere for such a long car trip - we went all the way to Sweden. They were very helpful and efficient throughout the whole process (including the rescheduling for weather reasons), and we would absolutely book again with them.

Mirco was a great guide, with a lot of knowledge about the Aurora and photography! We went out on a cloudy night, so we had to drive pretty far north and west into Sweden, but Mirco set realistic expectations from the start: we’d have to be out for awhile to find any clear skies. The first stop we found with clear skies, there was no Aurora activity, and clouds came in quickly. But Mirco pivoted quickly, and we found another spot within 20 minutes. Once there, activity began within 10 minutes, and it was beautiful! It was wonderful to experience seeing the northern lights with the naked eye, and we also got some great photos thanks to Mirco. Activity died down after about 15 minutes, and we had been out for about 5 hours at that point so we started heading back. But we lucked out, and Mirco noticed another clear stretch with some activity while we were all falling asleep. We got out and saw an even wider arch of activity, but for a shorter time (more great photos). All in all, we were out for about 11 hours, but it was well worth it! Guides can’t control the weather, but they’ll do everything in their power to watch weather and aurora activity models to give you the best chance to see something special - and they succeeded for our group!

Fantastic experience. Mirco was a phenomenal guide — super knowledgeable about the Aurora and excited to give us the best possible experience. We went out on a really cloudy night and weren’t confident that we’d find the lights. But Mirco drove us all the way to Sweden and eventually we had some luck with clear skies and saw vibrant lights visible to the naked eye. It was a longer tour since we had to drive further (about 4.5 hours outside of Rovaniemi) and wait out the clouds — we left at 6pm and didn’t return home until 5:15 the following morning. Make sure to bring lots of water and snacks and an adventure mindset, as this tour is super focused on finding the lights and making changes to your driving direction depending on conditions. We only stopped once for a real gas station bathroom break with the opportunity to buy snacks. Otherwise we were mostly in the car, with 3 stops to get out and wait for/view the lights. There was hot juice and some cookies at our longest northern lights viewing stop, but otherwise relied on our own supplies. Mirco took great photos of everyone and of the lights and shared with us quickly the following morning. Highly recommend

I traveled to Finland with my mom and her sister to fulfill a long time dream of hers. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating and even though we planned several days in Rovaniemi it seemed that we would not be able to see them. Our guide, Mirco, drove us all the way to Sweden in the middle of nowhere and we were finally able to meet the infamous northern lights face to face. What an experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also very easy going. He also spoke Spanish which made my mom and her sister more comfortable as they dont speak English. 100% recommended!

Was not provider warm clothes inspite of we booked a tour which charged aporox 5000rs pp for warm clothes only. No hunting was done,we were just taken beside a lake and whatever little view we got we had to satisfy with that only. Overall not a very good experience inspite of spending so much amount

We had suffered 2 cancelations from other companies at the last minute so when we walked into Book Lapland office in Rovaniemi city centre, we were expecting to get dejected again. It was 5 PM and they put us on a slot for 8 PM. The process was so seamless and friendly. We couldn't believe it. Also the fact they are cheaper than many others, we had our doubts. But everything changed when Santiago started our trip at sharp 8 PM. We drove for almost 2 hours and saw our first sighting. It was an unreal experience. Almost underwhelming to begin with but then it grows onto you. Santiago's energy was infectious. He explained everything about the Northern Light and was ready with camera as long as we had the energy to pose. We then drover to second point which is where the show really began. Mind you it was super cold but his energy didn't dip at any point. We happily posed, he clicked endless pictures and we experienced this amazing phenomenon which had been on my bucket list since many years now. When we ended the sightings and drove back, our guide insisted that we get down again and experience some more but we all were so tired that we had to let him down. I will happily go back with this company and with Santiago for this amazing once in a lifetime opportunity.

Our guide Atte took us all the way up north to the perfect dark spots for an aurora chase. From the moment we met him, Atte was professional, super friendly, and full of passion! Absolutely amazing!! Has always been on the bucket list so decided to pay that little bit extra and gotta say, it was totally worth it. Collected on time by our guide in a nice, spacious van, we chased the aurora down. We were aware that it’s really in the lap of the gods if you’re lucky enough to see the lights and were up for the job of being patient as the guide (Paul) did his job. We drove for over 2 hours and across the boarder (and passed many other tours) to find the ideal spot. Paul had all his gadgets and was in constant contact with his team, relating info to us as the night went on. To be fair, we didn’t have to wait long before the show and, when it hit it was spectacular. All the group (8 of us) had tons of pictures taken by Paul and he explained everything about the Aurora. The one thing I really liked about him was his total enthusiasm, his excitement was infectious and he was a massive reason why the trip was a success (I reckon he would have driven us all night to chase the lights!). After viewing, we were driven back to our base (and we passed another tour who had broken down, literally in the middle of nowhere - beware cheaper alternatives - when they arrive in a vehicle older than you please question your self!). Overall, it was amazing, myself, my wife, 9 year old daughter and mother in law had the best time so thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

Sofian is a great guide. He knows the area to well. He is also very knowledgeable about the auroras. About the auroras, aren’t they incredible? We had a chance to observe great views.

This was booked as a small group (no larger than 8) experience… with “we will drive as far as it takes”. We were picked up at 7:30 even though the app showed activity starting at 11. That would be fine if we drove awhile, but this driver took us 30 mins outside the city and parked with his friend - another van of 8…. So now 16 of us…. We stood for 3 hours then saw the briefest glimpse of green . Stood for another hour and a half, then left. I understood it’s unpredictable BUT we took the same tour one night earlier and the guide was amazing. He was reading the app, driving here and there, stopping a looking up constantly… til he found the perfect location and we saw great beauty. He was enthusiastic and willing to put forth effort. Thursday night was not the same. It was also difficult to take photos and let our eyes adjust to night vision with two vans running with running lights on and a campfire going Eventually the drivers put blankets over the lights to lessen the glow

We had a great experience with BookLapland. The service was punctual, the van was comfortable, and our guide, Cevikkan, did everything possible to help us see a beautiful Northern Lights display. We departed at 6:30 PM and returned at 4:30 AM. Due to heavy cloud coverage in Finland, we crossed into Sweden, where the conditions were much better for the aurora. This flexibility really made a difference. Cevikkan provided interesting information and clear explanations about the Northern Lights throughout the trip. He was also constantly in contact with other aurora hunters to find the best possible location, ensuring we had the best chance to enjoy this incredible natural phenomenon. Highly recommended experience!

In order to be fair, I will rank various factors of this tour on a scale of 1-5 (5 being best) Booking - 4 Overall booking process was very simple and quick. Easy to check timings and availability directly on the web site. However, during the booking process it should be made clear what the sighting guarantee means. You receive that clarification post booking which is too late. More on that below. Pre tour communication and pick up - 5 They are good with confirming the pick up time in advance and also arrange pickup from your address in the city. Tour guide (David) - 5+ David was fantastic tour guide and did everything possible to get us a good sighting. Unfortunately the weather and the density during our trip was just not in our favor. We got a very faint view with the naked eye that lasted few minutes before the clouds started taking over again. The density index never went above 0.8 during the entire time which is usually around 10 for a good sighting according to our guide. Aurora guarantee - 2 I think this is the part that really needs improvement. There should be some minimum density of aurora activity for the guarantee to be considered met. Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with the tour guide but rather company policy. Otherwise on unfortunate days like ours, the customer feels a bit scammed.

Thanks to his persistence and determination to keep monitoring the conditions and driving to the best locations, we finally saw the Northern Lights dancing in the sky — an unforgettable moment. He also took beautiful photos for us during the tour and shared them afterwards. Highly recommended if you want to maximize your chances of seeing the aurora.

Spent 12 hours for the whole trip but with our guide, Artur, it didn't feel like a long trip at all. Artur also was so patient taking all the photos and videos of us. Not to mention he was super fun and nice to talk with. Best part of my trip for sure❤️
