We had an incredible experience on our tour, thanks to our fantastic guide, Mirco!!! The pickup was right on time, and from the moment we met him, he was super lovely and chatty, making us feel welcome and entertained throughout the drive there and back. Mirco shared so much knowledge during the trip and explained everything so clearly. His insights into how the frozen waterfalls were formed made the breathtaking scenery even more fascinating and memorable. In addition to this, he even took beautiful photos for us with his camera, capturing memories we’ll cherish forever!! Mirco went above and beyond in every aspect. He even brought vegetarian sausages as part of the BBQ which such a thoughtful and very unexpected touch. He also showed us a photo of the ingredients that he’d translated into English so the three vegetarians on the tour could read it themselves with peace of mind. That level of care and attention really stood out. Mirco is truly a credit to the organisation. The whole trip was phenomenal and the landscape was unreal! Definitely a highlight of our stay. I can’t recommend Mirco and this organisation highly enough!

The overall tour experience was fantastic. Amazingly beautiful scenery, easy hike in a white, cold Korouoma trail. Our Tour Guide - Mirco is informative and managed the pace of the tour effectively. During the tour, he provided sufficient information/knowledge sharing on items related to the trails , everytime we made a brief stop. Mirco also assisted each participants to take a photo of each group, which is a great help. The group pace, moving from one spot to another, was also kept not to far apart, allowing each participants to enjoy the hike, yet maintaining the overall timeline. This excursion is amongst the ones that you would want to recommend to your friends or family.

Incredible Korouoma frozen waterfalls hike! The Korouoma canyon hike was one of the highlights of our trip near Rovaniemi. The scenery was absolutely stunning with frozen waterfalls, snowy forests, and beautiful winter landscapes. Everything was very well organized and the pace of the hike was comfortable for everyone. A special thank you to our guide, MICRO who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable by sharing interesting facts about the area and making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommended if you want to experience the beautiful nature of Lapland!

We had great experience. The whole hike was so fun and full of nature. Snow everywhere but yet quite safe. Our guide Mirco was very helpful and informative. He made the whole hike fun and a wonderful experience. Don't miss it you you love nature and can walk 5 kms.

We had a wonderful time with our guide Mirco. He does his job exceptionally well, possessing extensive knowledge on every subject. He answers all our questions, engages in pleasant conversation, and makes us feel safe. My hubby and I are very happy that we chose Mirco's tour.

My wife and I had an excellent time on the Korouoma hike. Our guide, Mirco, really took care of the group, stopping here and there to give us information about the history of the area and show us the best places to see the waterfalls. Spikes were provided to attach to our boots which was very useful as the path was icy in places. Lunch was sausages and flatbread, warmed over a wood fire, with hot blueberry juice and biscuits to finish. Overall a lovely way to spend the day and see a really interesting part of Finland.

Our tour got cancelled last minute – AVOID BOOK LAPLAND AT ALL COSTS! We booked a frozen waterfall tour for a group of two three weeks before our planned arrival, as their website clearly stated a “minimum of 2 participants” requirement. We had also confirmed the pickup and drop-off points with them weeks in advance. However, the day before the tour, when I tried to double-check the pickup time via WhatsApp at 4pm, they said they would confirm the details soon. We didn’t hear back from them until 9pm, when they finally informed us that the tour was cancelled because only the two of us had booked and it was “not operationally viable” for them. This was despite the fact that their website clearly states that the tour departs with a minimum of two participants. It is completely unacceptable that they only realised this at 9pm the night before the scheduled departure, leaving us almost no chance to rebook with other operators at such short notice and completely disrupting our travel plans despite booking well in advance. What’s worse is that they falsely claimed they had communicated this via email at 5pm that day, but I never received any such email, and all previous communication had been through WhatsApp. This is extremely unprofessional behaviour for a tour operator. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to shift the blame onto the customer. I strongly recommend booking tours with other operators in Rovaniemi that provide much better service and avoid having your travel plans disrupted despite booking early.

Samuli is a very attentive guide with a passion for nature. He showed us the most beautiful places and explained them very well.

Mirco is good tour leader , he explaining all the things that we see in there . He will finding all the good view and helping take photo . We are very enjoy that moment . Recommend him

Had a pleasant walk/hike with Samuli. It was fun and nice to explore the winter wonderland and the frozen waterfall is beautiful. Samuli is friendly and quide us well throughout the walk. And the BBQ lunch in between the hike is ust nice with some bun, sausages and a hot drinks

No rush and no pressure—everything was done at a relaxed pace, giving us plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the surroundings. Mirco was very knowledgeable about the local geography and explained things clearly, which really helped us understand the area better.

The experience was incredible. Samuli was helpful, always present and attentive. The BBQ was also very good! Besides, the place is simply out of this world.

We had an excellent day trip to Korouma, our guide Mirco was brilliant, explained everything to us and gave us lots of information along the hike. He even took photos for us which was a nice extra ! The park is beautiful, and the bbq area was very nice. The only downside is that the trip itself is quite expensive, but then most activities around Lapland are. Thank you for a great day!

The hike wasn't too tiring and the views were absolutely gorgeous. Samuli, our guide, was very charming and funny. He was accommodating and always offered to take pictures for us. He even laid down in the snow to ensure we had the best pictures! We had a quick BBQ lunch near the end of the hike and he made sure we were fed😆Great experience overall and would recommend!

Mirco is a wonderful tour guide. He took care of us a lot and even prepared the lunch for us. He often offer his helping hands to us. He also told us a lot of information about the place/landscape/formation of charlie brown and so on, super informative and interesting. The weather today was very nice, not many clouds. Definitely one of the best tour guides i have ever met. We had a great time with Mirco.

We just finished the waterfall tour with our tour guide Mirco from Book Lapland. Simply amazing! Mirco made the long ride so enjoyable, and told us many fascinating facts about the park and Finland traditions. The walk was great with a yummy lunch of sausages. Great tour and great tour guide! Our guide Mirco picked us up in the morning from our accomodation and with other 4 people (total 6 comprising us) we drove inside a very comfortable private minivan toward Korouoma Canyon. Amazing hike in the nature with very interesting explanations and curiosities. We had a great time at looking the frozen waterfalls. Lunch was great and beautiful, sharing and grilling hot dogs with bread with sauces, hot drinks and cookies. We brought a big pack of marshmallows too to share all together, if you can it’s a great idea :) Experience was beautiful but our guide made it even more special! If you have the oppurtunity ask for MIRCO, best guide ever!!!

I really enjoyed this tour, and honestly our guide Mirco is what made the whole experience even better. Be prepared to spend an entire day on this trip, and if you are staying close to the Book Lapland HQ, I definitely recommend starting there since that is usually where the tour begins. Also, definitely use the bathroom before leaving because having to take off all your layers out there becomes a huge fiasco. If you have your own good hiking gear and layers, bring them, because it will make the hike a lot easier and more comfortable. Hiking to see the Korouoma frozen waterfalls in -25°C was definitely not easy, but Mirco truly looked out for us the entire time. Before we even started, he made sure everyone had the right clothing and was properly prepared, which I really appreciated. The hike itself is relatively easy overall, except for the icy parts, because those can get very slippery, but Mirco guided us really well and showed us the safest ways to get through those sections without falling or getting hurt. He also took pictures of us even though that was not included, and his hands were freezing, so that was such a kind gesture. During lunch, he also made sure we were warm and well fed. The sausages may not be the best you will ever have, but I still enjoyed them because the whole experience of cooking and eating there in the middle of nature was so special. Of course the waterfalls were beautiful and worth seeing, but what really stayed with us most was the experience itself and how we felt throughout the hike. It was truly wonderful.

Amazing frozen waterfall experience in Finland! We had an unforgettable experience exploring the frozen waterfalls in Finland. Our guide, Luca, was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and made us feel safe at all times, even in challenging icy conditions. He explained everything clearly, shared interesting facts about the area and the ice formations, and adjusted the pace to the group’s abilities. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the whole trip was very well organized. Luca’s passion for nature and winter adventures really showed and made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Finland in winter and looking for a unique, adventurous experience. Truly a highlight of our trip!

Day trip was amazing, made even better by our guide Santi. The drive there was beautiful, after arriving we spent the day walking the trail surrounded by so much stunning scenery, words can't describe how gorgeous a place like this was, just breathtaking, all of it. Including the frozen water falls, the hike on the trail consisted of informative information and facts about the area and Finland, it was also filled with great conversations and lots of funny jokes with our great guide sandy. The BBQ was a great experience, bonding everyone together even more. 10/10 experience, would recommend to everyone to try.
