Firstly be prepared to bundle up. Lapland in Feb is cold, this was such a fun time. As a dog lover getting to see the care the team provided to the dogs and that they would make sure each team was not tired between groups was reassuring. The guide made some lovely hot dogs with warm juice or hot cocoa and was very nice. This was the highlight of my trip, the management of driving the sled wasn’t too hard and a lot of fun.

Very disappointing. Was told less than 24 hours before that due to the weather, the tour was cancelled. Completely understandable as the safety of the dogs it’s important. I was told a refund would be issued - a significant amount for this tour in December. I had to continually chase this until January and it wasn’t until I opened up a case via PayPal that my refund was issued. A very stressful experience.
A super fun experience made even more special by our guide, Andrew, who introduced us to the world of dog training and built a fire for a little barbecue to warm us up after the ride!
Amazing experience, you can cuddle the huskies both before and after the tour and the ride was fantastic. The visit was a bit short, but because of the weather conditions. Staff was really friendly and available to answer to all questions. The BBQ was good (hot dog, hot chocolate and tea), but considering the price paid, they could have had more than one hot dog per person.
Dave and Lisa’s husky farm is incredible. They were perfect hosts. The organizers of the tour (Artic GM) was not very helpful and the cold hotdogs at the campfire experience was ridiculous. That being said, the husky farm and Dave more than made up for the organizers deficiencies.
The tours were amazing 😍 Natalie and Andrew are the best hosts everrrrr
If you want to have fun on the sleds with the huskies, Andrew is the perfect guide, just for his love of the Huskies and the enthusiasm he puts into this amazing event. Andrew is a true husky lover and an amazing guide! We had so much fun and learnt a lot about the dogs and their life in Lapland.
It was super nice tour! Everything was on time with clear instructions. Our guide Vanessa was very friendly and helpful. By husky farm people was super kind! They took extra care about our kid. We had enough time to see and pet dogs. They eere all very friendly. Its rescue dogs and it was very good to see the job people are doing there!
Such a Fun outing !! The staff were very knowledgeable . We could tell that the dogs were well cared for . Safety was a priority . Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for this adventure!
Our guide Romain was super friendly and had a good musical taste through we drove to the husky farm. The farm was very nice and the dogs are so kind. It was impressive how they easily pull the sled. Afterwards we got an interesting tour through the farm where they explain a lot about the husky. The BBQ at the end was perfect for heating up a bit and the hot berry juice was delicious. Truly recommend to book this tour!
Great experience ! The ride in the snowy forest was magical, so peaceful. Our 8yo daughter had been wanting to see and pet huskies for so long, and she was finally rewarded ! The dogs seem well taken care of, and ending the ride with a hot sausage in the yurt was a great conclusion for that experience.
The husky dogs were beautiful, really loved getting to meet them. Being able to drive the sled was great but I didn't think the drive was as long as outlined, it felt shorter. Not sure if this was due to the conditions but it would have been nice to spend more time with them. Had about 20mins a the end of the tour were we were just waiting around doing nothing. Given a hot drink and bbq sausage after the ride but inside the hut it was very dark and not that comfortable. Tour guide was excellent overall though - shout out to Corantin.
My tour was with Pamela for the husky ride. The dogs were so sweet. Wanted to take one with me :) Pamela was a great guide. Tour was incredible. Enjoyed the ride with the dogs. Ride was long enough. Also enjoyed the sausages at fire place. Thank you so much, Pamela and Arctic GM. I recommend it very very much!
This was an incredible experience! Our guide, Natalia, was fantastic! She was very kind, knowledgeable, and made sure that all of the guests were comfortable and happy! She went above and beyond for us! Learning how to drive a husky died and then doing it was so much fun! The huskies were so friendly, and the farm takes really good care of the dogs. The campfire lunch afterwards was filling and relaxing.

The actual Husky experience was really lovely. However the package was for 5 hours and the whole experience door to door was just over 2 hours. The BBQ was really poor and comprised a hot dog and a powdered packet of hot chocolate with water. Really disgraceful to charge the price they did.
Amazing trip. Husky dogs were well looked after and trip was on a lovely family run farm. Our tour guide Nicole was amazing. Bbq was lovely. We got to meet all the husky and learn about their history. Tour company was very well organised with high quality equipment and experienced guide. Would highly recommend this trip.
A bit disappointed for the price, from rovaniemi you might found a lot more affordable experience. 230€ per person is huge for only 15min ridding (plus you add 3h driving to go and come back). Choose this experience because it said 7 - 10km tour only to learn that maximum is 5km (we had a 2.5 shortened tour because of the cold which is a absolutely fine but 7 -10km was never an option apparently). Meeting with the dog was cool but we could interact with only one dog and it last like 10 minutes (from our perspective it’s 230€ for like 20minutes for the whole experience, a bit expensive). If you are in rovaniemi there are better deal you can find. The people there was nice and as much as I cloud I see the dog seems to be happy and well treated. Our guide (not from the farm, an intermediate) Corantin was nice and thoughtful, we had a cool moment all together doing a barbecue. If it wasn't for him I’d lower my review
We had a delightful experience with Arctic GM! We booked a Sleigh ride with the Huskies and Daria was our guide. She was so pleasant and caring and we pretty much enjoyed it so much. Dogs were so happy and playful. Another pleasant surprise was that we met at the dog farm Natalia from Greece, another guide of Arctic GM who offered us her tips on our stay in Rovaniemi and she recommended us to book also the Aurora hunting with Arctic GM as well which we did the next day. There we met our experienced guide William who chased Aurora with his high tech team even across the boarders to Sweden, where eventually after a couple of hours we watched the magnificent phenomenon and took some awesome photos! Utterly we had so much fun and totally recommend this office!
It was a wonderful and interesting experience! Shout out and thanks to our guide Pedro making the trip smooth and fun. Dogs are very cute and we will recommend to family and friends
We had a great experience with our guide Pedro. He accompanied us until the ride and welcomed back with warm drinks & food:))) Tip: you need very fine gloves during the ride not to freeze!!
We felt they were very organised and professional. Dogs were well looked after and the team had lots of experience and knowledge
Its was an amazing experience and I love to do it again together with my sisters ofcourse same company. Or tour guide Pedro is very responsive and helpful he picked me up 2mins ahead of time as I went out his there already patiently waiting. He accompanied me during the ride cause Im alone and I need to take video even he need to preparethe barbecue the moments of our ride. All in all for me its worh it. And the best part I forget my mitten in the van just realized the ff day good man he keep it, thank you very much Pedro and Arctic GM.
Very punctual and precise communication. Pedro, our team leader was excellent, friendly and informative.
We joined Arctic GM for the Drive Your Own Husky Team and BBQ experience out of pure curiosity, and it turned into a great moment of our trip. Driving the sled is surprisingly easy — the dogs do most of the work. You mainly need to stay attentive and keep enough distance between the different teams, as dogs from separate teams can get a bit competitive. Within each team, however, the dogs are incredibly affectionate, and interacting with them is a real pleasure. Running alongside them on the uphill sections adds a physical and emotional connection that makes the experience even more engaging. Our musher, Dave, is a true passion-driven professional. Originally from Canada, he owns around 170 dogs and knows every single one of them. He explained the basics of sled driving very clearly, with a strong emphasis on safety, and patiently answered all our questions about the dogs, their training, and their lives. The ride itself — around 6 to 10 km — is magical. The silence of the sled gliding through the snow, the stunning landscapes, and the feeling of being fully immersed in nature create something very special. It feels raw, authentic, and deeply calming. The BBQ was the only slightly disappointing part: simple pre-prepared hot dogs, which felt a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience. The activity is also somewhat expensive for the actual time spent on the sled, though the overall quality largely compensates for it. In the end, what remains is a rare feeling of communion with nature, driven by extraordinary animals and guided by genuine passion. An experience I would recommend.
A great experience. Definitely worthwhile. It's beautiful it's fun, it's a real experience
Really nice riding on the sled driving the huskys. Not too cold , just -10°C One hour from Rovaniemi Bruno was a good driver and had good knowledge of Rovaniemi We had some BBQ sausages and hot chocolate afterwards
They cancelled on us less than 24 hours before our husky trip, which we had had booked for months! Leaving me with 3 very disappointed children and ruining part of our trip of a lifetime. The such short notice meant that we could not get onto anyone’s else’s trip for the next day. They only phoned once (no voicemail) but we were out on a snowmobile safari so did not get the call. Then offered to put us on another tour 3 days later but it was the day we flew home so couldn’t do it. Very disappointed and terrible, terrible service. Would not book through them again.
what a great experience driving the pack and getting to spend time with the dogs Natalie was a great guide - so lovcely and energetik
Funny experience, Adapting to the sled is fairly simple and quick A bit too short and I was expecting a wilder adventure in order to discover the region for a few hours. but a good first experience to sled dogs
Ultimately Artic GM delivered what they promised - a small group (8 of us) husky team ride that was not overcrowded and really felt quite special when you were out with the dogs on the sleigh. Perhaps differently from some of the other reviews we did not have to travel a long distance, and in fact the (isolated / only used by Artic GM groups) husky area was less than 15 minutes from Santa's village. There were also plentiful hotdogs, hot chocolate and berry juice to warm you at the end of the ride. Plus winter clothes to keep you warm. This did mean the overall trip was about 2 hours rather than 3 (welcome in this temperature), and the mini-vans were comfortable to get our group around. So, why the average score - well, this wasn't really the premium experience that was marketed, I have a feeling as we were there at peak time. Pickups were communicated less than 12 hours in advance, and weren't from accommodation as indicated. More worryingly, car seats for our children were not provided though they had been agreed via email in advance. The guides who clearly knew their huskies and the dogs were straight on with the next tour, our driver didn't have much to offer in terms of dog insight or chat, and was pretty functional to get us to/from the location.
Arctic GM cancelled this the evening before the experience. They had communicated with me around 3.30pm that they had noted our winter overall sizes etc. By 5.37pm the same evening the experience was cancelled. I had this booked since March 2025 and it was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. It was such a late cancellation I could not book a similar experience with another company. Arctic GM cited cold weather conditions as the cancellation reason. It was an exceptionally cold week (last week - end December 2025) even by Rovaniemi standards but other experiences seem to have gone ahead around the same time and the temperatures have not really changed all week. Another tour operator told me that was an unusual reason for the cancellation. Communication with the company had been great throughout the booking up until the day after cancellation when I asked them if they could recommend anything else or even a farm visit to see huskies as I had three really disappointed children. I was coldly told I would receive a refund within 10-15 business days and I can contact local tour operators!
They cancelled the night before. Couldn't find another ride. Came all the way from Australia to do the huskies. Will not be recommending this to anyone
We had booked out experience a month in advance as the highlight of our visit. The afternoon before our activity we received an email which stated our activity was cancelled. There was no reason or apology given. When I tried to rebook I was told they were fully booked for the remainder of our visit. Very disapppointed!
Hi, we would like to say that everything was absolutely perfect. We had a wonderful guide with Rui and we couldn’t have asked for better. He picked us up on time, was very kind and friendly, speaks many languages, and took excellent care of us until the very end when he brought us back. During the husky sledding experience we had a lot of fun, received a very good introduction, and afterwards learned a lot about the dogs. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Many thanks, especially to Rui 👍👏🤩
Sadly this tour was way over priced for the 20 minutes on the sled. Arctic GM themselves were good. They provided warm suits, were timely, and nice people. Communication at the front end was a little difficult, but we eventually sorted that out. But you spend about an hour and a half in the car for a 20 minute husky drive and a hotdog, and then an hour and a half back; and the actual husky destination was a little rough. My understanding is most husky drives are short, so maybe do one closer or cheaper for the same experience, and if Arctic GM do one as such, I’d still consider booking with them. And yes make sure your shoe and glove wear are as warm as can be, no matter who you do it with, or it will make the experience harder.
Unfortunately our tour was cancelled due to the weather, which I understand. However we were not informed by viator and were left very disappointed turning up at the meeting point expecting to go. Next time I would book with the tour operator directly.
Great communication from the time of booking, right up until we left for the trip and someone to contact if anything went wrong. Small personalized feeling to the whole thing. We were picked up at the Santa village, driven about an hour away in a top of the range vehicle, we'd previously given sizes for the snow suits, so they were brought for us. We were given a short demonstration on how to drive the sled and guided around a lovely scenic spot. We then went back, got to rub the dogs and got a kennel tour, before an open fire BBQ. Nothing was rushed and everything felt on our own time. Our guide Sanija couldn't have been any better and even dropped us back to our accommodation afterwards. I had thought the excursion seemed a bit expensive for the 3 of us, but afterwards definitely felt it was worth it. The following day I had a tour booked with a different larger operator and the experience couldn't have been more different. I wish I had booked both tours with Arctic GM Experiences. I'll definitely pass their details on to friends.
Mathias did an amazing job as our tour guide. The husky ride was incredible and fun. The whole family had a great time. :))
The Husky tour was one of those 'once-in-a-lifetime' experiences. Thank you, Nico, for all your help and for giving my family and me such an excellent day! Also, thanks to the rest of the GMT team we met at the husky farm for the great vibes—especially Matias ('El Cordobés'—thanks for the palitos de la selva!) and the Greek lady (sorry, we didn’t ask your name!!) for being so nice!
I really really enjoyed the huskies they were so cute! Transport to and forth to the husky farm is just a short 1.5-2h ride! During the session we get to not only ride on the sled but to drive them too!! Don't be too worried about driving the huskies, the husky farmers are riding a snowmobile constantly watching and fixing them if any of the huskies decide to be playful and go off track! Your job is basically controlling the speed and when to start and go which is pretty fun!! At the halfway point you get to swap positions so get an equal chance to be a passenger and a driver! I love that we get to pet the huskies after the run and they are so so so cute! Love that the husky trainer was able to enthusiastically answer questions about how they raise their huskies and how they remember all their names! Campfire BBQ near the farm was amazing and we had a husky chilling with us by the fire probably eyeing some of our hotdogs but was respectful to not interfere until someone fed him :)
Fantastic experience from pick up through to drop off - all very smoothly run. The husky sledding experience is an absolute must so would highly recommend for those making the trip into the region.
We had a fantastic time on this husky sledge adventure. Our guide, JB, was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish — he took great care of us from the moment we were picked up until we were dropped off. He also prepared a delicious BBQ for everyone, which made the experience even more special. The husky ride itself was so much fun and very well organized. You can really see that the dogs are well taken care of and loved, which made the whole experience feel even better. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
JB took care of us the entire tour and made sure all of our needs were met. he was very friendly and a great tour guide The Huskies were so lovely and friendly and they loved getting pet and hugged. We had an amazing time riding the husky sled - we took turns to drive and to relax to take photos. Afterwards, we had a very lovely barbecue and our tour guide dropped us back. It was an experience of a lifetime and I want to thank our tour guide JB for making it such a lovely experience from start to finish for all of us.
This Husky sled drive experience was very authentic. The dogs really wanted to pull the sled through the terrain and we're so enthusiastic. At the start, we went through the trees and it felt like an adventure as we had to dodge tree branches, etc. The ride was about 20 minutes and very adventurous. Our guide, Pedro, made sure that our snow suits fit properly to keep us warm in the early morning and he also made sure that our individual needs were met. The kennel tour was informative and we learned how the dogs were bred and raised as puppies for this purpose. Some dogs are formerly mistreated rescues which they have given a new fresh life with the other dogs. The hot dog bbq at the end was fun and topped off our trip with something extra in our stomachs after our adventure. The drive out to the Husky facility was more than 1 hour from Rovemieni and we stopped to see a wild moose on a frozen lake.
An amazing experience in the most beautiful area. It’s a true bucket list adventure to do. The staff really cared about their animals and the lovely lady (from Canada I believe) that gave us a tour of the kennels and puppies was so friendly, informative and a great asset to the farm there. The dogs were all so friendly and we were allowed to stroke and interact with them after the activity Nothing was rushed, and we had plenty of time among the dogs and to sit around the fire after the dog sledging and relax among the sound of the beautiful dogs and watch the them in their environment. It was a truly amazing experience that I highly recommend
Definitely worth the money, fantastic experience and all the staff working here made you feel super welcome. A bucket list tick for me. Beautiful surroundings and super cute dogs
Amazing! So much fun. The dogs were adorable and Ctinus brought great vibes. 10/10 I recommend this to everyone. (Layer up and wear good gloves)
Not operators fault, but buyers need to beware of potential cancellations due to weather conditions being unsuitable for huskies.
The husky experience was excellent . The dogs are looked after really well. Our guide Raphael was great . He drove us safely there and cooked our barbecue, provided us with hot chocolate or tea. He did everything to help make it a bucket list day. The sledding through the wilderness was amazing . The dogs are so fast .
