We recently visited Lapland Winter Park and had a genuinely mixed experience, with some real highlights alongside a few disappointments. On the positive side, the setting itself is absolutely beautiful and really adds to the overall atmosphere. We especially enjoyed trying cross-country skiing for the first time—it was a great experience and something we’ll definitely remember. The sledging hill was also a big hit, and the sauna world was very enjoyable and well worth visiting. However, there were some downsides that significantly impacted our visit. The biggest issue for us was the lack of disabled changing facilities, which made things quite difficult and affected the experience for my son in particular. This is something that really needs to be addressed to make the venue more inclusive for all visitors. We were also quite disappointed with the reindeer sleigh ride. It was very short and not particularly exciting, especially compared to what we were expecting—it didn’t feel like good value and didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. Overall, we did have a good time and there are some lovely aspects to the park, but improvements—particularly around accessibility and the reindeer experience—would make a big difference

We caught the free shuttle out to Lapland winter park. All went smoothly. Process explained and towels and robes provided. There are a number of saunas in the forest and a hot tub and jacuzzi. All was clean and well maintained. Lovely to sit in the jacuzzi looking at the snowy trees. There are different types of sauna so if you don’t like one then move onto the next. Afterwards we showered and then went to see the reindeer before getting the bus back. A relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.
I highly recommend this experience. They were kind and helpful when I contacted customer service for information about the shuttle. It was very convenient because it was included in the price. The staff was kind and helpful; the guy who was there before the changing rooms/showers was really good at explaining everything to us. We used the sauna and jacuzzi surrounded by snow and snow-covered trees! It was truly a dream I'll remember for the rest of my life! Thank you! Highly recommended!
A really lovely experience. Our session was not too busy and there is plenty of choice of saunas and hot tubs. Staff were super attentive bringing drinks in the hot tub! Highly recommend.
This was the most amazing experience. I was nervous at first as I really feel the cold but going from the hot tub to the saunas wasn’t too cold, I even tried the ice bath. I preferred Lapland Winter Park to Santa’s Village. The animals looked well cared for and looked happy.
wonderful experience. To be done again. various saunas, the jacuzzi very relaxing and warm. And with the cold atmosphere of Rovaniemi, it was an exciting mix.
Husband and I had an enjoyable time trying out the hot tubs, saunas and icy plunge pool! Several saunas to try and three hot tubs. Sauna guide was lovely and encouraged us to try a roll in the snow between saunas! Despite it seeming very busy in the changing room, we always managed to find an empty sauna to enjoy in peace.
Great experience. After a whole sauna session, didn't even mind the -30c temperature. You need to bring your own swim shorts/swimsuit since the saunas are for both male and female
First time trying a Finnish Sauna and it did not disappoint. This one is set in Lapland winter park which also has accomodation, kids activities, a restaurant and reindeer you can feed. The staff were awesome, friendly and helpful. Showers and changing area were pristinely clean. Towels, a thick bathrobe and slippers were provided. They have 8 Saunas and we enjoyed all but one (because that one was for the brave, way too hot for us!). They had several hot Jacuzzis, and one heated by wood, and an ice water pool. You have to walk out in the snow to get from sauna to sauna but you are so deliciously warmed up, you don't even feel the cold (which was -16c). And the thick Terry robes really helped. The whole setting is in forested area which added to the winter wonderland atmosphere. Fantastic experience and highly recommended!
The Lapland Winter Park Resort sauna package was beyond expectations — 8 different saunas, 2 hot tubs, and even an ice tub! Each sauna had a unique atmosphere, from traditional heat to more modern styles, making the experience feel like a relaxing journey through Lapland culture. I never imagined I’d have the courage to go into the ice tub — but I did, and it was totally worth it! The contrast between the hot and cold is something you just have to try at least once in your life. The staff were incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor, which added to the welcoming vibe of the place. If you're visiting Rovaniemi, *this is something you absolutely shouldn’t miss*. One of the highlights of our trip!
We had an unforgettable meeting at Lapland Winter Park. The atmosphere was magical. The staff were incredibly helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and inspiring meeting venue!
Great experience! We had the sauna which included a little snack at the end and we could pet the reindeers afterwards. We loved it there and the team is super friendly! Totally recommend to get the whole Finland experience
There’s 6 saunas, an ice bath and two hot tubs. It’s an incredible experience where they explain what you should do and comes with amazing views. Best sauna I’ve ever been to
Just fabulous. Quiet and restful. The saunas are clean and service in the restaurant was good. Much better than other local attractions I had visited.
Set in a lovely park with lots of saunas to choose from so we were able to try lots of different types and had each one to ourselves as it wasn’t particularly busy despite being close to Christmas. Lovely to enjoy the hot tubs outside surrounded by snow and there is also an ice pool. The Sauna Master is very helpful and friendly and all facilities are clean and modern with lockers provided.
Winding up the hill through the forest, the easy bus trip brought us to the attractive reception / restaurant where we got our tickets for the Sauna World experience. What a fantastic time we had there. Three electric saunas and three wood fires ones, each with quite different ambiance. Wonderful aromas, some spaces more compact, others larger and more airy. The friendly sauna master kept everything perfectly ready. One of the outdoor hot tubs was electric and had air jets for a Jacuzzi feel. The other hot tub was wood fired and magical, set in the snowy wood in that peaceful sauna zone. The ice cold water tub immersion was a new challenge and the feelgood factor was incredible. Add in the modern changing space and lovely showers along with the delicious tapas treat. Wow! What's not to totally love about all of that :) :) ... we stayed for a beautiful meal, bought a couple of fairly priced things for the grand children and then took the last bus back to Rovaniemi. If you love Sauna don't miss this opportunity!
The saunas were amazing. Beautifully designed, cozy and it was wonderful to sit in the jacuzzi under the stars! Our saunamestari was super friendly, accommodating and helped us with anything we needed or asked.
We took a pleasant ride to the park, and then after a good lunch buffet, we relaxed between whirlpools and saunas, it was beautiful
Fabulous experience, I already dream of coming back. Thank you!
The saunas are very similar to each other, and the traditional wood-burning ones are not even that hot, because they do not have double doors. The cold tub was all surrounded by ice and we were afraid of slipping, we jumped into the snow. It is the video of Lapland that I show the most.
Everything is wonderful, highly recommended!!!!!! Immersive experience in the heart of the Finnish spa under the stars ...
Great experience! Several different saunas (electric and wood burning), outdoor jacuzzis and ice baths. Very clean and quiet place. I will be back with pleasure
A fantastic experience with a landscape without words ... taking the sauna and the hydro massage in the middle of the snow was breathtaking
Great experience. The meal was included in addition to the spa in the restaurant. The setting is beautiful. In the middle of nature.
Incredible experience in typical Finnish saunas. We were very well received. Very good value for money. It has 8 different saunas with typical design, 2 spa and 1 cold bath. Lockers and showers are available. There is a free shuttle from Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village.
The location was spectacular: 6 saunas immersed in a snowy park with a reindeer enclosure nearby and skiers or snowshoeers passing by. The experience of immersing yourself in the frozen water and then in the hot tub was spectacular! The tapas offered a little skimpy but the experience is immersive and unforgettable.
Great experience worth absolutely.... at the reception very kind and we were also offered a drink with local snacks made of salmon cheese jams and sauces...
We went to experiment with saunas with my sister and we were like in an enchanted bracket. It was an incredible and timeless experience in these timeless little cottages, with a view of the snowy landscapes. The guides are extremely kind and with little care and this is very appreciative in addition to the amazing setting. The park that surrounds the activities is very beautiful, it is possible to go keep company with reindeer and warm by a fire in the cottages. We do not regret this experience that will remain etched in our minds for sure!
