One of the most surreal experience here in lapland. we were taken in two different location and the second one we saw the dancing auroa. our tour guide mikron was very patient in looking for a good location for the aurora and took good photos of us. we eve have hot tea and cookies in the end.we will recomment this tour for everyone coming in lapland

She was extremely professional and dedicated—constantly checking aurora forecasts and adjusting our route to find the best viewing spots. Thanks to her expertise, we were treated to a spectacular display! Kami also took amazing photos of us with her professional camera, capturing memories we’ll treasure forever. Just as we were about to head back, she noticed sudden strong aurora activity and immediately stopped the van. I booked this tour the morning of my last night in Rovaniemi. I was hesitant because forecast showed it being cloudy despite the high KP index. We did a tour just 2 nights prior with the same conditions and saw only hues of the Aurora and the hunt went from 8pm to 3am (also surprised it was a bus tour with so many people). Deciding on booking regardless since Aurora was the main reason we came so why not, right? Made sure it was a small group tour, which was perfect cuz this tour specifically said max of 8 people. The company messaged me the tour was pushed by to 9pm pick up to get better conditions. I loved how they communicated well. Kami, our tour guide, picked us up and my husband and I were surprised that it was just the two of us during this tour! I guess no one wanted to go out on Valentine’s Day lol. Kami was great! She talked about how Aurora happens and so much more! We learned a lot that we didn’t from our previous tour. We did our first stop and Kami checked it before asking us to go out (so nice for her to do that so we stayed comfortable and warm). She found the Aurora a little over half an hour away from the city center, but it wasn’t that strong. Kami kept in mind and considered that we have seen it and my wish was to see a really strong viewing of it. We did another stop before we arrived our final stop. Another thing that surprised me was that she also took professional pictures for us! I thought I’d be taking photos with my own phone (which I also did of course lol), but the more the merrier, right? We saw the most incredible Aurora. It was so strong and big that it was visible to the naked eye and even records as videos on my phone’s camera. It was exactly as I wished and more. This hunt was the best way to end our Finland trip! Thank you Kami for making it happen! Luck and the Aurora were definitely on our side on this trip!

Amazing experience, it was a cloudy night but after trying a few spots we managed to find the perfect one with clear sky and the northern lights appeared twice. Super happy. Kami, our tour guide, was amazing and very helpful and friendly
Great experience, managed to see the lights despite a lot of cloud cover and snow due to the expertise of our driver Kristaps. Post the first sighting we continued and were even offered to drive to Sweden to get a better viewing. Would book again.

Don't book a Northern Lights tour with this company!!! I am extremelydissatisfied with this compay's service. I did notseeNorthern Lightsand the conoany is refusing to refund me. They are also being untruthful by saying that I was told in advance abput the change in itinerary. Ultimately, we were driven for hours, to Sweden, as it was raining in Finland. The driver admitted the conditions were terrible. The tour should have been cancelled. However, the driver made guests stand and his secialwd camera could pick up a green hueabove them,which was not discernible to the naled eye. I refused to pose for a 2nd round of hoax shots. This experience was gorrendous and the company refusing to refund is a complete disgrace and disrespect for customrs. A truely terrible experience with Arktictopia!!!! Don't book a Northern Lights tour with this company!!!
Our guide was great, he contacted us the day before our planned tour (due to do tour on Saturday night) to say that the forecast was heavy cloud so it looked very unlikely that we would see the lights and could we do the tour on Friday night instead as there was a much better chance. Even though we only landed from our flight at 2am (!!), he met us at our hotel after we got our taxi from the airport and took us straight out to try and see the lights before they weakened and disappeared! We were so lucky to get to see them and we were very grateful for our guides' flexibility and commitment to getting us the best chance! Would 100% recommend, our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about the northern lights and it was overall a fantastic experience!
On the day, the sky in Rovaniemi was cloudy and I was prepared that it might be difficult to see the aurora, but our guide kept driving tirelessly without giving up, and we were able to see a beautiful aurora and a sky full of stars like I had never seen before! We also saw many shooting stars. I was happy they took so many wonderful photos. The pickup time was changed to match the sky conditions, but they kept in frequent contact, which put me at ease. Amazing experience! He didn’t give up until we were able to see the northern lights and for that he traveled hours and long kilometers while we were cozy in the car. We even saw wild reindeers! In February visited Rovaniemi, Finland, with the dream of seeing the Northern Lights, and thanks to our amazing guide Dimitar, that dream came true! I had a mini panic before the trip when the forecast didn’t look promising, so I reached out to the tour company last-minute. Dimitar immediately reassured us and even adjusted our tour from Saturday to Friday based on his intuition and experience which ended up being the right call. Our group ended up driving two hours across the border into Sweden to find clear skies, and just when we thought all hope was lost… the aurora appeared! It was absolutely magical. We were surrounded by stars with zero light pollution it was amazing!!! Dimitar went above and beyond to make this experience happen, and I’m so grateful for his effort, positivity, and dedication. He truly made us feel safe and taken care of every step of the way. Couldn’t recommend this tour (and Dimitar!) more highly.

Great northern lights tour! Meeting time and place were communicated via WhatsApp so there was no confusion. Our guide was great picked us up and dropped us off steps from our room. The weather was cloudy but he made sure we would see the lights. We drove to Sweden which was a fun surprise and had an amazing show! He took pictures of us throughout the night. The tour was small only 2 others so it felt very personal and we were able to choose different decisions throughout the night. Tea and cookies were a nice touch. It was clear the guide was an expert and taught us all about the parameters needed to see the lights. 5 stars!
We had a great trip in Feb 2025. Our guide was tracking the activity and felt that we had a good chance to see the lights based on the conditions and forecast for the night. They messaged to ask if we could delay our start from 7pm to closer to 8pm since they felt the light activity would be stronger later in the evening. At first, the magnetic field (?) was too weak, but it strengthened, and he said that all of the data looked good to see the lights - so we waited. He took us out to a frozen lake with a great open view of the sky. We had to wait until almost midnight before the activity showed up, but when it did - WOW! In a matter of minutes, it went from nothing to rainbows of dancing lights across the sky. He took some amazing photos, as many as we wanted, and they were sent via email transfer the next day. It was a small tour, just my family of 3 and another couple, and we were picked up around 8pm and returned close to 2am. As promised, none of the faffing with barbeques, etc.; just some nice warm tea and chocolates which was much appreciated. Great tour; well worth it!
This tour was not only successful but also a truly wonderful experience - and that was mainly thanks to our guide, Vess. From the very beginning, he created a pleasant atmosphere with his friendly, humerous, and dedicated manner. It was clear that he genuinely cared about providing his guests with an unforgettable experience. On February 2, 2025, my 10 - year - old son and I were picked up on time from our hotel by Vess in a cozy van. After a short briefing ( weather conditions, tour plan), we headed to the first of three planned spots. And indeed, the aurora appeared - at first subtle, but enough for us to take a few shots with the professional camera. After that, we warmed up in the van, where Vess treated us to hot tea and delicious cookies while sharing fascinating facts about the northern lights. However, the absolute highlight of the tour was when we arrived at our second spot! We were overwhelmed with excitement as we wittnessed this magical aurora spectacle. The northern lights danced right above us, glowing in vibrant green and shimmering purple tones…A phenomenal natural display that we will never forget! Thanks to Vess, we have beautyful photos to remember this incredible aurora show. He positioned us perfectly in the scene and managed to capture us in the magical setting. The very next day, we received access to his high - quality images via a WeTransfer link. This tour was well - organized, cozy, and, most importantly, successful - definetly highly recommended!
Having done a few Northern Lights Tours in other countries, we sort of knew what to expect. Our guide messaged us a few hours before our pick up time to say the light activity was low and we would be collected an hour later which we were happy with. We were also informed that we may have to drive to Sweden to see them so to bring our passports. We were collected on time and our group only had two more people in. The small tours really are worth the extra money! After driving for an hour or so we stopped at the first spot and had no luck so we tried a few more spots before driving to Sweden. We were told by the guide that the forecast was now lower than expected and we may struggled to see them. We stopped at the side of the road in Sweden for some fresh air and after about 10 minutes we notices the lights coming through. The guide quickly set us his camera and we were able to get some decent pictures. Obviously this is all down to chance, noone is guaranteed to see them and anyone who thinks they are needs to recobsider going on these sorts of trips. Once we got our photos we headed back to the city which took around 2.5 hours. Overall, we would recommend this company. Their communication was good, they were punctual and they did try their best. The only downside was we didn't feel like it was as friendly atmosphere as we have felt in other countries. A little bit more information whilst we were driving would have been nice to kill some time.
we wanted to have a guaranteed experience and photo of the northern lights...so we booked this rare experience. we started with 7pm and ended past 12midnight...two families. The other family had small children while we were just 3 with and adult child. we didn't see the northern lights. we just wasted $319USD. no further explanation needed.
I was very impressed with our guide's experience and dedication to find the Northern Lights. He was very knowledgable about the auroras, and though the car ride to find the lights was very long (we drove to Sweden!), it was very comfortable and totally worth it! Me and my friend also had a little nap in the car because we didn't come back until 4:00am haha. Though the trip may get pushed back due to how the aurora activity is, it was not a bother because we still saw the Northern Lights, which was amazing as the forecast did not look good. I think going in, it is good to consider what the auroras look like to the naked eye, so that one's expectations are realistic. Of course, they look great on camera and our guide had a tripod and sent us the photos later! Overall, I would recommend this experience : )

It was a cloudy day but the weather forecast said the clouds would be gone after 10. The tour started at 10:30 and we could see the beautiful aurora. It was truly an amazing experience. Thank you for the wonderful spots and photos u took us! Happy New Year
The night was truly amazing. Our guide Božo was very knowledgeable, he thought us many interesting things about Aurora. But also he knew good spots and he was constantly communicating with other guides who were out that night to ensure that we catch Aurora. We ended up finding perfect spot and getting big Aurora storm. Plus he was patient taking many pictures for everyone. Truly magical experience that we will never forget.
This night was magical. Dimitar picked us up at home and even adjusted the hunting time twice to get the most of the aurora experience. He took lots of photos of us and the auroras and was really passionate himself. He adapted the whole route to our needs and brought tee and cookies with him. He drove us to three different spots in the local area (driving was about 20-40 min). There never is a guarantee to spot the auroras, but we would always take that risk with Dimitar as a guide again. It was such a great trip.

Another tour group had car issues, so our vehicle was used to assist them, and our guide, Kris, had to step in to help. Despite this, the tour remained fun and well-organized. The tour started right on time, and Kris went above and beyond to ensure we got to see the Northern Lights. We visited several different locations, maximizing our chances of witnessing the aurora, and his dedication paid off. Absolutely incredible! Our guide was Dimitar and he was fabulous! We've been looking for aurora for years...multiple countries, countless tries and nothing. Even this trip we tried with another company and saw nothing. We were originally scheduled one day but the company called and said it wouldn't be visible until late. They rescheduled us and I am so happy they did! They were so honest and communicative and really wanted us to find them. So many tours just say good luck it's a bad night, but not here. We also took our 5 year old son and the guide was so kind to him. You go to multiple locations to try and find it, which is awesome! Seriously an incredible experience - highly highly recommend! The photos are also the icing on the cake!

I really recommend the tour because it is great for both the personality of the guide and the tour content. We were able to contact them in advance via the What's app, and they responded quickly, giving us peace of mind before the tour. The whole organisation was really good and the people were soo nice and they try their best to give you unforgettable moments... It was a truly amazing experience that I will never forget. I was happy to see so many photos taken, one by one, as a group. Also, one of my friends dropped a bag of valuables at the final point, and they took about an hour to get back to the point and look for the bag together, and I am really grateful that they found it safe. He was a lovely guide, smiling and kind all the way, even though it was much later than the scheduled end time.
