Amazing experience under extreme conditions. Our guides Rob & Marina were attentive, very informative, had us covered with the correct clothing and equipment for -35’c conditions. They prioritised our health and safety but ensured that we had an enjoyable day and made allowances so that we still were able to enjoy snow mobiling, lunch and ice fishing. They checked us regularly and made our lunch base around fire so that we were kept warm. Cannot thank Rob & Marina enough for an awesome experience and highly recommend them as guides and the activities offered.

Great lappish lunch tour with the guides Mattias and Rob! Very cold but a wonderful trip! Thanks for all the fun guys, it was super!
We had such an amazing experience! Despite the freezing cold, we had the best time with Nuria and Joaquin! The views were breathtaking and the riding and fishing experience were so much fun. Nuria and Joaquin were amazing! They are super nice and were attentive and reliable throughout the entire day. We definitely recommend choosing them!
With so many tours to choose from I was so happy with this one. Our guide Juho was awesome, we learned so much! Made reindeer soup for lunch which was so impressive and delicious. Absolutely beautiful experience
The tour was amazing. We didnt caught any fish but it was a nice experience both with the snow mobile through the forest as well as the ice fishing on the lake. Ionatan was always doing pictures and did the best soup ever! I would definitely recommend this tour.
A beautiful experience riding the snow mobile and ice fishing. Our guide Diia was friendly and encouraging. We had a great time🤗
We met the group at their office in the centre of Rovaniemi and were transported to an out of town location. We were provided with clean and excellent quality warm clothing, boots, gloves etc before walking the short distance to the awaiting snowmobiles. The ride through the frozen landscape was exhilarating and we loved it so much. My husband drove, whilst i took in the views and scenery. I was most excited about the ice fishing and it did mot disappoint. We did not catch anything, but that did not affect us. The weather was crisp, clear and very cold and we travelled to a traditional hut within the forrest, where we were given hot soup, coffee and cinnamon buns. It was a truly unforgettable day! Away from the crowds and out in nature. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nature/thrill ride. Safartica were a well organised tour group and their guides were exceptional. They were friendly, taught us well and spoken perfect english. Thank you for a great and unforgettable day.
A fantastic day trip - would highly recommend. Even in -20 degree weather we still loved it (although I strongly suggest bringing hand warmers for your gloves and in your socks). We didn’t catch any fish but honestly the Finnish soup, around a fire, for lunch was all that we needed. Definitely book this one in!
Guide and food were wonderful. One of the best tours of our vacation in one on my favorite places to visit.
Amazing amazing amazing, our fantastic guide Eduardo made the trip by been so amazing with our three children ! Can’t recommend enough loved every second of it ! Traditional soup by the fire with coffee and a cinnamon roll afterwards just amazing
My family and I took the 5 hour snow mobile and ice fishing tour and lunch with MARTIN. First off, Martin was nothing short of amazing! He was kind and funny and did his absolute best to make sure our kiddos had the best experience. We were extremely lucky and were the only ones to book the tour that day, so we had a private tour, making the day even more special. The views while snow mobiling down the river and through the forest were exceptional. The ice fishing was a fun and informative activity. We weren’t lucky in catching anything, but it didn’t take away from the fun at all. We then took the snow mobiles to a quaint cottage in the woods where Martin started a fire and cooked soup, sausages and bread for lunch. It was a nice warm break and provided more time to learn about Finland from our amazing guide. Martin told great stories and even gave us better recommendations for the hike we planned to take the next day. (We took his advice and the hike was perfect!) The tour was definitely a 5 star experience and an absolute highlight of our time in Finland! Thank you Martin!
The company is excellent, guides are awesome! They provided all the gear and really focused on safety. I travelled with my 12 year old son and did not feel Very comfortable driving so one guide took him and the other one took me. Very nice! We had soup for lunch and it was delicious!!! I highly recommend this tour!!!
Martin and cale were great hosts, the snowmobile was really fun and the food amazing. Also vegetarion option which was great. Really wanted the day lasted longer.
Great trip, unfortunately did not catch a fish but our guides Martin and Kalle made us a nice lunch in a warm tent. And driving the snowmobiles was a lot of fun!! Would definitely recommend this tour.
Martin and Kale are really amazing guys! You need to book this tour with them!! Thanks guys, Greetings from the dutch guys
We had an amazing snow mobile/ice fishing/ lunch tour with Tiia. She was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable and it was empowering as a woman to have a strong guide like this. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the this tour. It’s wonderful to snow mobile through the snow covered woods and someone in our group caught a fish! We were cooked a lovely hot soup and warm bread over an open fire for lunch. There was hot juice, coffee, and cookies as well. Plenty of snowmobile time as well. Would recommend!
Just back from a Lapish inch break with Olaf and Raul from Safartica tours. 25 or so people on the tour most pairs one the one snowmobile. After sorting everyone out at the office with helmets, balaclavas socks bigs waterproof boots and a snow overall we walked to the river to collect the machines. Good instruction from Raul. Follow the leader style out to his favourite fishing place No luck today , maybe tomorrow. Another long ride to lunch - cabin in the woods style. Good warning reindeer and vegetable soup with bread, hot drink and cinnamon bun. Big ride back 1 hour plus. Good machines, heated hand grips. Good trails just like the postcards. One thing not in their control, you only go as fast as the slowest machine, and if they have a selfie stick it slows them down even more Overall great day, recommended.
Was ok, like others they borrow you overalls which are very warm. First time on snowmobile, steering was tricky but i learned from other tour that if this is the case most like cheap made snowmobile as the weight only is in front and not spread till the end. It was true as we done 3 tours in kittila and were much better and easier. It was fun as it was our 1st ride. Went fishing no catch 🤣. Martin and timothy were really great, especially Martin 😁Oh i forgot they cooked reindeer soup, and provided hot cranberry juice in which its their custom.
Amazing staff and a lot of fun. Better doing your activity in a small group. The staff made this trip all the better. Thank you Mariius Mario and Alberto
I cannot get enough of the Lappish winter wonderland!! The scenery is spectacular, I loved riding the snowmobile in the forest and on the lake. In spite of the fact that I did not catch any fish, I loved every second of the tour. Alexie and Anu are amazing guides, and the also cooked us a delicious reindeer soup and warm bread. This excursion is worth every cent!! Also, many thanks to Anu for having me as a passenger on her snowmobile. I told her I did not want to drive the snowmobile, and she was most gracious to take me on as a passenger!
This was our 1st excursion in Lapland. I would say it was good, but not amazing. Food was excellent. Cooked our on the grill. Atmosphere was amazing. You're in a snowy wonderland away from the city. Can keep warm in a small hut if need be. Snowmobiling, eh. You're at the mercy of everyone else on this trip. If one person decides they want to idle at 4mph all the way, well guess what!? That's right You're idling at 4mph all the way as well. There was an opening they let you hop on them and drive them around in your own away from trees, so that was nice. Kids under a certain age rode in a sled towed behind the guides snowmobile. Ice fishing, well it wasn't really ice fishing. It wasn't the season for it, but it was nice to learn the process. Meeting spot was easy to find. I did really appreciate our guide as we had 3 ppl show up late, but he was very direct to the guy in the party. They have a 15 minute policy and late guests are stealing time from the others. They did make it on the trip, but no doubt they were going to leave them. I always appreciate this. BE ON TIME. The guide didn't show sympathy and he shouldn't have to. The guests were late because a guest wanted hand warmers! Enough said. Overall it was a nice Starr to our adventure in Lapland.
Excellent experience! That’s the greatest experiences we have ever had!! we had an unforgettable day with the professional guide David and Amili together! And of course the impressive, tasty Lapland lunch: rinds deer soup and pancakes!! That’s wonderful 👍👍👍
This was such a great experience. We have never taken our 9 year old fishing, so for him to have ICE fishing as his first experience was awesome. The reindeer soup was spectacular and the guides were superb. We felt very safe and excited!
Lovely day with Jenni and Ruben, we all caught a fish and the lunch was delicious. There wasn’t great snow cover but they still managed to make the snowmobiling fun…
Very touristy, extremely large group meaning you have to stop frequently for snowmobilers who get stuck or veer off the path. The “ice fishing” seemed like a time kill and the food included was poor quality. The whole tour seemed to have little thought put into it (which should have been a minimum ~2 hours shorter).
We had originally booked all of our activities through our resort which then closed earlier than our intended arrival so we had to redo all of our bookings. Our new accommodation (Glass Resort) had Safartica as a recommended tour operator and because they were open when other providers had stopped operating in early April we booked almost all our things through them and I’m very happy with that decision so far. The included gear is a huge plus: snow boots, wool over-socks, snow jumpsuit, leather mittens, balaclava, and helmet. It’s truly everything you need and they were able to fit everyone well and fast and everything was clean. We had a small group of 6 and everyone had a wonderful time. The included lunch with tea, soup, flatbread, cookies, and coffee was largely prepared fresh for us in the Kota and was filling and delicious. It’s a great balance of activity and leisure. The directions were always clear and we never felt rushed. Thank you Martin and Safartica for a perfect day. We can’t wait to come back.
The amount of tours available by various operators is quite overwhelming. We stayed in a chalet run by sartica but it was only on talking in the office they said we could have 10% off as we were staying with them. May be good to advertise this in the chalets! We went out with Patrick and it was just my friend and I with him. We had an amazing trip on snowmobiles over the snow roads and then more into the forest to a lake where we attempted to fish ( we didn’t put much effort in!) Patrick cooked us a lovely lunch of reindeer soup before we then headed off . We had plenty of time as a small group so went much further than a bigger group could go - around 70km. We hardly saw a soul and went over frozen lakes and rivers. It is tiring riding a snowmobile and the other group we did see had just rolled a mobile which was a reminder of how powerful they are. Although expensive we did feel we had value for money and appreciated the snow gear!
Two friends and I did this trip this afternoon. We all thoroughly enjoyed the complete experience from start to finish. The accompanying workers were very friendly and informative. We felt very safe having them with us and the food they served was delicious and the whole experience was extremely well planned, timed and executed. At first, the price of the trip made me question whether it was worth embarking on; but now I would definitely recommend it and happily say that it was worth the money.
Fantastic fun! David took us in the deep snow through the trees and then we got to play. It was incredible. And then I look out at Kings Mountain. Beautiful
Really amazing experience! Very kind personnel! Martin, Sardene, Barbara many thanks! You were great
We took the looong snow mobile tour (75 km.) which was a bit too long in arctic temperatures. Our guide, Martin was very friendly and professional. The instructions and information was adequate. The ride was through the forests and across the lakes. Ice fishing part was a bit weak but we hardly cared. The lunch was reindeer soup that Martin cooked for us in a small cabin. Overall a nice adventure that is carefully designed and expertly executed.
It was our second snowmobile trip, this time with Mikael and his co-worker (forgot huis name). Beautifull trip through the forest, between the snowy trees and across lakes. We learned about icefishing: how to drill the hole and how to fish and Vught a little fish! At the cabin the guys prepared a nice lappish soup and good coffee, after which we had to return. It is a really nice trip to take!
-Shout out to Pierre and his colleagues - VERY friendly! -Loads of food such as BIG bowl of Soup! traditional Lappish soup( loads of reindeer meat), snacks and more snacks....coffee, tasty fruit beverage, pita bread! -Snowmobile to be considered as VERY good condition, I had accelerated so many time in the forest and frozen lake as well, long snowmobiling hours.- - DSLR camera should be brought because there are loads of breathtaking landscapes.
Great value for money. We explored lots of tracks on the snowmobiles, we got some free time aswell in an open area. The tour guide was very informative and nice !
I am late 40s and have travelled a lot and I have to say this rates pretty high on my top things I have done in my life! We geared up with socks, boots, double layered mittens, snowsuits, balaclava and helmets and then got on a coach for the 25 minute transfer to where the snowmobiles were. We given a concise briefing on how to control them (and get on them!) and then split into pairs to get on one! My son had paid the single supplement to drive one by himself so I was an odd one so hopped on behind the guide. Wasn’t sure what it would be like but being on the back of a skilled driver watching the scenery whizz by was brilliant! We had the ‘sleigh’ hooked up on our one for the little ones. It was impressive how powerful these machines are! We stopped for ice fishing- great demonstration from Tippi! And enjoyed our soup( vegi our choice but most had reindeer). Cook had made some traditional Finnish flatbreads (?)which were good to go with soup. Made use of the basic facilities here. Then we swopped drivers and I had a go! Wow! Loved this! Everyone should try snowmobiling! My daughter enjoyed her time on the back of the guide Georgio’s bike. Two great guides who really worked hard to make sure we had a fab time! Thank you so much Tippi and Georgia (and the cook!). Everything ran smoothly and I couldn’t suggest a thing that needs changing! The company were professional and prompt in our communications through the booking process and I would recommend without hesitation. We all had an amazing time!
First time on snowmobiles for us and it was super fun despite the colder weather (-3) and snow. The kit provided by Safartica was good and kept us warm. No fish (conditions not optimal) but great tasty lunch (creamy reindeer soup) in a log cabin. Wonderful guide Santari. Would highly recommend.
Had fun riding the snowmobile for the first time! The clothes provided by safartica kept us warm too. We even get to experience a little camp fire inside the Hut and enjoy reindeer soup! It was a gd experience. Was really thankful to the guide who went faster to bring us back as we were running late for our transportation to another place.
This company knows how to impress! My husband has given me this holiday for my 40th Birthday and as a thank you I booked this trip knowing how much he would enjoy it. The instructors were amazing and the raindeer soup was out of this world! The whole time we were out we were constantly being monitored and helped so I felt really safe. The views were spectacular and it gave you a real taste of the wilderness while driving through. The feeling of complete nothingness even though we were in a group was amazing and we would both highly recommend this trip to anyone! We were so impressed by this company and their organisational skills we have arrived back to our hotel and booked another trip with them. Thank you so very much Safartica for a truly amazing and wonderful adventure
Great snowmobile ride on the lake and in the forest. Excellent lunch around the fire after fishing experience. Thank you to our guide Pierre available, efficient and very friendly for these wonderful memories
Returning from a tour package where the local provider was safartica, I would like to thank you Elise for her smile, her availability, her explanations during the activities, and for her delicious soup of Rennes. A marvel!! We had a dream day with a sun and negative but ideal temperatures, allowing to enjoy the breathtaking views. A special mention for Julien, who was our guide for the snowmobile day, he managed the group very well, made us discover ice fishing with humor and he was gentle and very patient with the children, whom he carried brilliantly in his sled. We loved the activity with Safartica.
We chose the activity adventure by snowmobile and ice fishing with lunch. We were accompanied by Vilma and Robert, two golden accompanists! This activity was amazing from start to finish. The activity includes a complete resistance to the cold (wool sock/toe/suit/hood/mitt/helmet). I recommend for the most chilly foot warmers. For the snowmobile moments it was perfect, we passed through beautiful landscapes, not too short, just right. Regarding ice fishing, it was really an atypical and interesting activity, small downside, we did not catch any fish (but a time worth it ☀️) and found the moment a little short. But it’s normal because we had to go to eat. The meal was really AMAZING! We really feasted around the fire! Another big thank you to Vilma and Robert, thanks to whom we spent an experience beyond our expectations, it was really great!! (Little more for Robert who also spoke our language) Kiitos!! 🫶 😊
We enjoyed our outing snowmobiling, ice fishing and lunch break with meat and vegetable soup tasting. To warm up well during our activity. The site for fishing is quiet in nature! Our guide was really nice and explained us bcp of things about habits and customs. The time between each activity and trip is perfect neither too long nor too short. It was a really good day! I recommend the activity and the agency. We were very well accompanied. There were only 5 of us which is even nicer
The tour was super organized. We were on the road for 5 hours. The first major stop was for ice fishing. Then we received a reindeer soup. How can the tour very gladly recommend!
Snowmobile ride through stunning scenery, ice fishing and stunning reindeer soup inside Lapland tent
Today, December 16, 2024 , we carried out the “Lapland lunch break with snowmobile tours, ice fishing and food cooked obviously on the place of arrival. Our two guides were Gianfranco and Gabriel, really competent, mannered and very good people. They made our day even more special. In addition to having fun, especially on the snowmobile, what particularly surprised us was the reindeer soup prepared by our guide Gianfranco, really delicate. They also offered us excellent herbal teas to warm up, given the excessive cold. Finally they sweetened us with biscuits, croissants and coffee. Highly recommended experience but I want to recommend you to go out well covered, because in the Lapland forest it is really cold.
After changing clothes, a short instruction and then we set off. It goes quite fast, sometimes up to 40 km per hour. It wasn't really the season for ice fishing but it was fun to experience. It was -22 and that was quite cold. Despite good shoes and thick socks, cold feet. Halfway through soup with bread in a hut to warm up. Great for racing across the river!
We did a snowmobile activity with David, our guide. Everything was perfect. First of all, he was particularly kind, patient, passionate and exciting. The snowmobile hours were a treat. We had the opportunity to each take turns driving the machine. After the walk, David explained to us the practice of ice fishing and left us to experiment alone, it was great! Last but not least, the meal. Superb, reindeer soup to die for, David really took care of us. I recommend the experience 1000 times! THANKS !
What an unforgettable adventure! We're taking it easy. The pink sky , the breathtaking scenery , the experience itself , the instructors . Raoul is the guide who took care of us. What an amazing man. It is rare to meet such a caring person. We have a 5 year old boy and he took care of it all day. Our boy was in the sled pulled by Raoul’s snowmobile , he installed it in warm blankets and reindeer skin . Every 2 minutes he turned around to see how he was doing. He used to give her high fives every 10 minutes. He noticed that our son had cold hands when he had not complained. He proactively took hand warmers out of his backpack to give it to her. We went ice fishing , Raoul was great in his explanations. Very funny and serious at the same time. Once again he was careful that my son did not walk in water so as not to wet his feet. In short an incredible experience , a team with little care. I would give anything to relive this magical moment
In my case I'm not much of a motorist but the truth has been the pleasant surprise of the trip. Well thought out the route, duration, and mix of motorbikes, fishing and lunch with a great reindeer stew. The guides deserve separate mention that make the experience round for the comfort and naturalness they generate. Raúl(Spanish) positive, proactive and willing to help and facilitate in any way he can (at the end of the activity we witnessed a misunderstanding with the driver who left without people witnessing how he assumed the management of attending to those so they would not be left lying) and David(transylvanian) English speaking and a super nice and attentive person. The mix of the activity, the Enterprise that manages it (Safartica) and the guides (Raul and David) make this one of those that my family and I will remember the most. Go our thanks
Precise organization with trained and professional staff; wonderful experience of driving snowmobiles, great fun ice fishing (although none of the group managed to catch some fish 😅) and excellent reindeer meat soup. Safartica gave us a beautiful day. Recommended 👌🏻
