Korouoma Frozen Waterfalls Hike

We used StayLapland for all our activities in Rovaniemi - we did a nighttime snowmobile, the Korouoma hike, husky sledding and a daytime snowmobile run. Each activity was well organised and the guides were fabulous - knowledgeable and very personable- it was all very relaxed and so enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend the company to people wanting to try out some of the wonderful activities in the Rovaniemi area. The frozen waterfalls hike was our favourite with the huskies a close second and Antonio a fabulous guide!

I had a really fun day hiking in Korouoma with Stay Lapland! After a last minute cancellation with another provider, they were able to accommodate me, which I was very grateful for. The hike through the snow covered forest and frozen waterfalls was beautiful, well organized, and felt safe throughout. The pickup location was super easy to get to while staying downtown. A fantastic way to experience Lapland’s winter landscape. Highly recommend!

We had the absolute pleasure of doing the Korouoma Frozen Waterfall Hike with Valtteri as our guide, and it was truly one of the highlights of our time in Lapland. From the moment we were picked up, Valtteri was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He created a great atmosphere in the group and shared stories about the landscape, nature, and local life that made the hike even more meaningful. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking – towering frozen waterfalls and snow-laden forests. Valtteri guided us safely through the snow-covered trails, always checking that everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. We can’t recommend this tour highly enough. If you’re lucky to have Valtteri as your guide, you’re in for a safe, stunning, and truly memorable experience in the Arctic wilderness.

We did the Korouoma Frozen Warerfalls Hike in March, and the nature was just amazingly beautiful! Our guide was perfect: he was very friendly and well-informed, and we felt very comfortable during the whole trip. The tour was well organized, and it was just a small group of people, which was also great. Thank you for this experience!

This was an amazing experience!! The company was very professional with great communication before the trip. We went for the frozen waterfalls hike in Korouoma. It’s a magical hike. We were given special gear and snacks/drinks were offered. Our guide Valteri was a wonderful local with lots of fun facts and great conversations!! We would recommend choosing this company to everyone :)

Great friendly guide (Cristo). The hike was not too long (ca. 6km) spread across ca. 2 hours. The hike is beautiful with slopes and flat paths. We got water, a little snack, and spikes. The group size was perfect as well with 8 people. We were initially planning on doing the Snowshoeing tour but the staff at the reception advised us against it due to the weather and snow conditions, and we definitely did not regret going for the Korouoma option instead!

Our tour was moved from Saturday to Sunday. But we got Jannika then. She was an excellent tour guide. Very professionell even when the other 6 people that were going with us on the hike arrived really late and were incredible rude. She’s very knowledgeable, the hike was brilliant and we really enjoyed her company.

This was something I had never experienced before. The tour was a great way to explore the beauty of the Finnish landscape and show that it is possible to deal with the cold weather even if you are actually not used to it. Our friendly Spanish tour guide did a masterly job and really knew what he was doing. I definitely recommend booking a hike to these waterfalls.

One of the best tours we've ever done. In this case Asier, from the pick up of the tour to the end has been attentive to any need we had and has made the experience better than we expected. I recommend this tour for people who have ever ridden or like nature.
