We were picked up from our chalet in Ounasvaara by Alicia, our guide from Safartica for this tour. She was very cheerful and immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. She took us via Santa’s Village to the reindeer farm, which was a fun and unexpected extra. She also took photos of us and shared lots of great and helpful tips. We were very happy to have her as our guide! The reindeer ride itself was very relaxed and we had a lot of fun. The guide at the reindeer farm was also very friendly and shared interesting information with us. A truly wonderful afternoon!

We did the Santa village Snow mobile Reminder sleigh ride Very pleased with Raphaelle The way she managed time Information provided And the joy we had was really nice Also the lunch provided at the restaurant was pretty good too
Was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Early morning Santa village so missing the queues to see Santa. Then time for a walk around the village. Food at lunch was hearty and warming then dressed up in winter gear for the Reindeer sleigh ride. Finally a trip on the snowmobiles in the dark. Guides were excellent and very helpful. To top it all off we had fresh snow overnight so picturesque at every point of the trip with knee deep snow for the kids and adults to have make many happy memories
The afternoon was incredible. Snowmobiling and the reindeer farm with a brief reindeer ride was awesome- made the whole day worth it. The guide at the farm was amazing and full of knowledge. The morning was just okay. Too long at Santa Claus village although we did get a picture with Santa and did not have to wait long. The lunch was not good.
Perfect !! It was great experience being in Lapland. Something you never will forget for the rest of your life. Everything was perfectly organiste.
Amazing tours, Valentina and Arnau are just the best guides ever! If you ever go to Rovaniemi they are the best. They are all very professional and kind.
The afternoon was so enjoyable ...santa in scv is so bad...nic was brilliant he was great with us on trip...half the day was just walking around scv.
It was a very nice experience! Lovely guide and very good value for price. We enjoyed our day with all the well planned activities!
It was a group of 50 people. When we arrived at santas Village they had changed our time (guide wasn't aware) so we had to go que will ALL the general population (on Christmas eve) if we wanted to do that. Then lunch was hectic and not great. Then we got to the snow mobile place, 50 people plus the other groups crammed into a small room to b given instructions and get the clothes and change all in this 1 area. It was insane. And more groups kept coming in. Then we were at the back of the snow mobile convoy, but just behind the kids in a sled. So we couldn't go faster then 10kms. While all the parents at the front took off. Road the mobiles to the reindeer place, once again we're all crammed into a hut with a lovely fire that everyone who was at the front of the line hogged while the rest of us stayed frozen. Then we had a literal 5 min reindeer sleigh ride to then jump back on the same mobile staying in the same order (as in behind the kids) to go back to the tiny room so everyone can get changed. Then we made a complete detour when we finally left to head back to their office to drop a family off. Would have been cheaper to do these activities on our own, and definitely don't recommend doing it on Christmas eve.
We went on Christmas Eve (24 Dec morning) so was prepared for the attractions to be packed. It was a smoother experience than expected and the guides were calm and led us to each attractions in a timely and orderly manner. We managed to see Santa in a short period of time despite the queue, and snowmobiling was so fun! Winter gear is provided for the snowmobiling, and it was very clean. Highly recommend going with Safartica!
Myaelf and my family did the Arctic Delights tour yesterday 18th Dec 2024 with a visit to Santa Claus, The Santa Claus Village, Snowmobiling and Reindeer farm with Rob and Antoine as our guides. The trip itself was amazing from start to finish, very well organised, exciting, fun, informative, and every detail taken care of.... Ran very smoothly with the leafy amount of unnecessary or unwelcome waiting around we've experience while in Lapland. However the real highlight was the care, attention, calmness and excitement that both Rob and Antoine brought to the tour. They could not have been more helpful, kind, patient, or informative. No stone was left unturned and their warm and fun personalities really made the whole trip extra special. My partner was on crutches and did took care of lots of extras for us to make things easier for him ands us without us even asking them. They deserve a bonus and a pay rise! Safartica, be sure to reward and look after these two gems please! They're real assets to your company. Many thanks Rob and Antoine and wishing continued success to you both and all at Safartica! With thanks, Siobhán, Eamonn and young Senan.
The activity we had was the Winter delight, which included a visit to the Santa village and reindeer farm. The tour company is very professional with everything needed arranged. They will give you all the gear required for outdoor activities. Santa village was quite an experience. The food included in the package was really nice with an experience of authentic reindeer dish. The reindeer ride in the package was more touristy ( like check in the box), so that was not enjoyable if you are looking for the real thing. However the Santa Village experience is a must do and do it with Safartica as they know their stuff. Everyone speak English and host of other languages. Wilma and Veli - Matti was our fantastic tour guides, super friendly and very caring.
The company Safartica took out the snowmobiling last minute and refunded 47€ per person, allegedly because of not enough snow. Although there was snow everywhere and they sold and sell the same snowmobiling time separate for 119€. Apparently in another track. The customer is definitely not their main focus.
The experience as a whole was great! Hardly a queue to meet santa as you get there before it opens. We were very lucky that there was only 8 of us on the tour! Snowmobiling was fun, although we only got up to 35mph, would have been good to go faster. Reindeer sleigh was super short and a bit pointless really but still magical. The host was lovely and answered all questions. I gave this 4* because on the snowmobiles you stopped to have a photo, and we were told we would get the same on the way back so we didn't switch but on the way back there was no stop, so only my partner has a photo on the snowmobile so that's disappointing. Also, the restaurant in Santa Claus Village for lunch is pure chaos. Its a buffet style and so crammed in, I ended up not eating because of all the pushing and shoving giving me anxiety.
Santa Claus village only 10:00-11:30 .. have to quene to go in take photo with Santa Claus. Too short time to go village taken photos
Very happy with whole experience . The staff were supportive and happy with communication and understanding
Tour guide, David, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone was where they were meant to be and having a good time.
We didn't get to see much of Santa's Village. I feel that the tour guides were skimpy with directions at the beginning and expected us to go off on our own and then know exactly when to meet up again. That said, the snowmobiling to the reindeer farm made up for it. Exciting, fast fun on the way and back. And plus got some time to ride sleighs with the reindeer, with some time to heat up by the fire in huts as well.
Excellent trip, absolutely magical from start to finish, and good value for money considering how action packed the day was. Very well organised and Belisa (sorry if we have spelt it wrong!) was an excellent guide. Snowmobiling was great and the reindeer farm was magical.
This experience was unforgettable. Vilma (our tour guide) was very accommodating and friendly. She gave us a good breakdown on what to expect for the day. The snowmobile experience was great! The reindeer farm was very informative.
We opted for “in pursuit of reindeer” snowmobiling to a reindeer farm. Raúl was our guide and he was incredible! He was so kind, helpful and patient. We were in a group of 4 adults and 5 children. The children went behind Raúl in a sled, he brought extra blankets for the little ones. I wasn’t sure if the snowmobiling part would be long enough but it was plenty, we got to see so much of the snow covered forest and even stopped for a play and a few photos on the way. I don’t know what I was expecting from the reindeer ride, I think I had imagined the entire group in a giant Santa sized sleigh being pulled at lightning speed by a large group of reindeer… There were 2 reindeer, each being led by a guide around a small track, each reindeer pulled one sleigh with 2 ppl at a time. We all had a great time, big thanks again to Raúl for being the best guide and making the experience so enjoyable
the best tour of the 3 different tours i have booked on this 4 days holiday in finland. well organised, well paced, well done!
Great experience for adults and children, such an amazing experience being so close to reindeer’s and being able to ride a snowmobile
The Santa's Village is ok, not marvelous. And we felt a bit suffocated by the exaggerated commercialization Disney's style. But the second part, the snowmobiling and the reindeer farm were a dream come true. I can't properly describe the beauty of the landscapes, the thrill of riding the snowmobile, the almost mystic experience at the farm. And an special mention to Jaume, the great guide and wonderful human being.
Schedule of the day: Santa Claus Village => lunch buffet near by => snowmobile => Reindeer farm Zuzanna was our guide, a really nice, helpful and talkative one. The group was small, 4 people including the guide, making it a really intimate experience. Plus, she took great pictures. Santa Claus Village itself is already a cool place, we get to see the snowy view around it and feel the Christmas vibe. Tho you pay extra for everything else (other than seeing) you want to do, none is included. The tour only takes you there I think. Love the snowmobile part the most. The view is like we entered frozen Narnia.
It started with a bad experience as we nearly missed our tour. We were supposedly meet at 8:45am on the hotel reception but I received a call saying since we are staying in the village and we don't need to change, they will meet us at 9:45am instead. We were waiting in the reception for our guide to meet us as previosly agreed but didn't receive any call after that. Called their office at past 10am and found out that they left us and they are already on their first stop of the tour. I was so dissappointed and disgusted as my family are looking forward for this tour plus I paid so much for this. After numerous call to their office and trying to convince the staff to call their tour guide to pick us or call me or meet us but instead ask us to make our way to where they are as "the guide couldn't leave the group". The guide never contacted me nor the office staff didn't give the tour guide number to me. I was very upset and stressed out as I have my children with me. There are 2 Meet Santa place. As the instruction is not clear where to go plus how upset I am, we went to the wrong place. Called their office again and told us we need to go to the other place. My family had to run all the way to the other Santa place. We didn't see our tour guide there and still no call from him. I panicked, called their office numerous times again begging(which I think I shouldn't done but out of desperation) and arguing with the guy to call their guide to meet or even call me as a courtesy but no call. We must have waited ages then our guide appeared. Our guide said he called me and didn't answer but I didn't receive any calls at all. I even showed him my fone to prove to him that I didn't receive any call or text from him. The irony is I saw some family in our tour getting off from the coach while I'm waiting outside the reception of our hotel but no calls receive. Our guide is apologetic for the inconvenience it caused us. Anyway, after that the remaining of the tour is very good and our guide is attentive to all our needs. We had a wonderful time in snowmobile, reindeer ride and feeding them. Although it was stressful at first but the whole experience is well worth it. If it's not from the earlier bad experience, our day should have been more meaningful and enjoyable one. I will still recommend this tour and I hope it won't happen again.
Guides were friendly and well-organised but the group was reasonably large. For the morning part - Santa’s Village and the lunch - this wasn’t too problematic but in the afternoon our already large group joined with another large group for the snowmobiling and reindeer ride. Safety wise, it was fine. When we arrived at the reindeer farm, it was all a bit disorganised and my husband missed out on a ride despite waiting at the gate the whole time. When we pointed this out to them at the end, the people running the farm just said to us “well, we asked the tour guides a couple of times to make sure everyone had a ride and we’re not going around again.” The guides seemed embarrassed by the attitude of the people running the rides and so offered to take a family photo of us next to the reindeer but we would have just preferred that my husband got a ride. When going inside for a hot drink and biscuit, again it was very busy with the two large groups in a small space and, as we were the last there (due to waiting in vain for my husband’s reindeer ride), we were unable to find a space for the 5 of us to sit together. The morning was great, the afternoon less so. Lunch was good quality local fare and a decent range of options in the buffet as well (the two raw fish dishes were incredible) so no complaints there.
We booked for a family of 8 people. Martin and Amelia were our Tour Guides who took us from Safartica Office by coach to Santa Claws Village (approximately 10 minutes), we arrived at 9:50am. We were advised to start queuing straight away to see Santa, as it can get very busy. We queued less than 20 mins and was greeted by a very happy Santa. No photography was allowed and we paid £35 for a glossy print. At 11:30am we met back up with Martin & Amelia and was taken to the rear of Santas village to a buffet restaurant. Food consisted of Pork, vegetables and cakes. Fizzy drinks and alcohol was to be purchased at bar, but squash, water, tea and coffee were free. We spent 45 minutes at restaurant before getting back on coach and returning to Safartica Office. We were given overalls, boots, socks, baklava, helmet and gloves and walked about 7 minutes to collect the Snowmobiles. Martin was very thorough and explained everything very clearly. Martin led the tour and we had an exhilarating ride along Finlands longest lake (frozen) which was amazing, we had a few stops along the way and was told not to worry about taking photos as there will be plenty of time on the way back. We reached the reindeer farm and what a treat this was. The reindeers seemed happy to carry two people through the trees on a 2/3 minute ride, but I noticed they ran a lot faster down hill due to the weight of the sledge pushing them. A Reindeer Herder sat us around an indoor fire shelter and blessed us with a knife to the back of the neck and black soot to the forehead. He told some pretty amazing stories about Finland and Reindeers. Following this we were taken for a hot beverage and cake where we were awarded our Reindeer Licences. Upon heading back to the Snowmobiles, we collected a toboggan to sled down the small hill. Amelia guided us back to Safartica Offices and the family was split up, some with Martin and some with Amelia. We were extremely disappointed as she stopped us going any faster than 25km unlike Martin who allowed us to go at a steady fast speed. We were unable to keep up with the our family in front who kept stopping to wait for us and to take photos as promised. Amelia failed to allow us to take any photos and for this I am only giving 2 stars. Amelia later explained that someone had died on the lake the week before and this is why she was slow.
It was a good trip where the guides are enthusiatic and friendly and snowmobiling was really special as we traveled over frozen river. However wont recommend to go with Viator as we have another experience with them where they provide bad customer service.
We had an amazing time and loved the tour 5 stars. It was a magical day that both adults and kids will remember for ever.
Terrible - our train got delayed. We wanted to contact the tour guide on the day to see where we can meet them, and whether we can make it in time. We asked for the tour guide number on this platform but was told to call the reception 8am when it opens. We called 10 times, no response. We did not manage to contact the guide and could not attend the activity.
What a great adventure!! We started off on a tour to Santa Claus village. We had about 1.5 hours to explore on our own before meeting again for lunch. This was plenty of time to take the atmosphere, wave to the webcam, visit Santa and post a letter from Santa’s post office. We found a lovely coffee shop to enjoy a hot chocolate and there are plenty of gift shops to buy souvenirs. We even had a tour guide who offered to take a series of photos for us which was ideal! The lunch was buffet style and was fine before we headed back to Rovaniemi to get on our snowmobile to reindeer farm. If you needed, you were provided with full winter attire to keep you warm during the snowmobile - I would recommend the thermal socks in particular!! The snowmobiling was an amazing experience. The journey to reindeer farm takes about 45 mins and there are two people to a snow mobile. The guides were excellent at keeping an eye on everyone and doing regular checks throughout the journey. When we arrived at reindeer farm, we went inside to warm up beside the fire with a hot orange and hear stories about the reindeer. The whole place was a winter wonderland. After we had heated up, we were taken on a reindeer sleigh ride (just a short loop which was long enough in the cold) and we returned to our snow mobile to head back to Rovaniemi. The whole experience was amazing. A full day, full of fun and lovely memories made. Our tour guides deserve a special mention for making the whole day so memorable.
This was fantastic well worth the money and such a magical experience. Best day of my life. So magical and well organised. A must do if you are going there. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
Lunch was great. Really good value for money excursion. Snowmobiles were good. My son was hesitant to be away from me in a separate kids only sledge but he enjoyed it. There wasn’t an Arctic circle ceremony as advertised but that didn’t retract from the enjoyment. The man at the reindeer farm was great. Wouldn’t necessarily rate Santa’s village at all. Lined up for an hour to spend 30 second with Santa who said Christmas was the wrong amount of days away and confused my child. Cost €28 for a gift and a further €35 for a picture. Most disappointing part of our whole Lapland trip
Everything was amazing. Guides were lovely and helpful. An easy trip and we packed a lot in. My kids loved it.
Great trip from start to finish . Our guides were so attentive and organized . Perfect trip for people staying a short time in Lapland.
Talking with Santa Claus, being a passenger of the snowmobile and riding a reindeer sleigh are wonderful experiences. The tour guides are nice and helpful.
My fiance (then girl friend) took me there as my birthday present and I fell totally in love in it. She also proposed to me on the arthic circle. It is a must to visit there. It became our every year holiday destination.
We booked ourselves 3 experiences and so glad we did so with them. 1) the Aurora picnic which was excellent as the lady who was our guide did a fantastic job giving us the history and details of the Aurora phenomenon. She was very hands on setting up the camp and giving us a little picnic. 2) Full day snowmobile safari to Snow hotel - We couldn't have had a better guide, David was brilliant. His enthusiasm and confidence was infectious and he made the whole trip so enjoyable. He was extremely helpful and patient with our challenged skills on the snowmobile. The snow hotel was fabulous experience and the lunch served there was outstanding. 3) Arctic delight - Santas village and snow mobiles to reindeer farm. We were a part of a big group so had Boris and Barbara as our guides. Santas village was a delight specially for the younger ones, loads of souvenir shops and cafes to visit. The buffet lunch was average. We were then shuttled back by bus to the snow mobiles to ride over to the reindeer farm which was yet another great experience. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Safartica for fabulous experiences of the Lapland. Aniysha & Emil Seyfferdt
Amazing tour with all kind of experience and as mentioned .. Niko was great and everything was organised properly . ALL point enough time was provided
We were a family of 3 with 1 teenage child of 15 years old and we had a blast. It was one hell of an experience. The tour guide took us to the Santa claus village where we met Santa and then we rode snowmobiles to a reindeer farm and rode the reindeers on sleighs. The snowmobile and reindeer sleigh experience was amazing in the cold snow. The only hassle took place was when we all sat for lunch time I guess the seats were not booked properly for us so we had to negotiate a little for the arrangement. Other wise the tour was very nice.
Everything was perfect and as per the plan our guide was amaaazing I really really enjoyed it I just wished I knew this company before so I would booked all my tours with them , very recommended
Action packed day. Fantastic tour guides Greta and Martin. Santa, Snowmobiles and Reindeer. Perfect day!
Very memorable day! Tour guides amazing and helpful would highly recommend this trip. Full day of activities every part was well organised.
The best tour in Rovaniemi, it was worth every penny compared to other tours, Sebastian (French tour guide) was super helpful and he answered my emails even after the tour was over! Combination of all the best activities
Thoroughly worth doing this trip, guides Greta & Helmi we’re very good at shepherding us to wheee we needed to be. Loved the snowmobiles particularly so.
We had an awesome trip in Rovaniemi, and Safartica was a huge part of it. If there is one bundle you should get when planning a trip, it’s the Arctic Delight. Becky and Martin were very professional and accommodating. They ensured we maximized our experience in the Arctic Circle. They even shared ideas of where to go and what to see while in Rovaniemi. Just a wonderful and memorable experience overall! Our bucket list of places to go in Europe is near complete.
Today we booked the "Arktik Delight" tour and our tourguide was Eetu. To be honest, Eetu was great! He was so friendly and courteously. His instruction were clear and easy to understand. Even for my dad and his girlfriend with no English skills. The communication in English was also perfect and really easy to follow. We can 100% recommend Eetu. Our tour was the perfect day trip for a really fair price. Firstly we travelled to a lonely forrest, where we drove for over an hour with a snowmobil. After getting to know the vehicle, we were able to go for more than 60 km/h which was so incredible. Our tour also included a visit in the Santa Clause village with a stunning lunch included! Our last stop was a reindeer farm, where we took a short sled and then had some ceremonies. Thank you were much Safartica and kiitos to Eetu!!!
This tour was the highlight of my trip, in addition Safartica were just excellent. The office was presentable, every staff member was friendly and professional, easy to find location in the centre. We could’ve done with a bit longer at the Santa village as one hour flew by, but the snowmobile experience and duration was perfect. I would book this again for that element specifically. We had Raul as our tour guide and he made the tour an exceptional experience for us all ensuring we were all comfertable and looked after the whole duration. One of the best tour guides I have ever had considering I was very nervous with the snowmobile activity. It’s a long day of activities and fairly pricey but worth every penny and a great lunch buffet included at a top hotel in the Santa clause village.
We came to Lapland for the first time in January 2020, 12th-15th. I booked this trip for the 14th and it was worth every penny. Rachel was our guide and she was fantastic from start to finish, it was just me travelling alone with my two sons, 3 and 4 years old. They done everything to make our trip easy and enjoyable and my youngest had fallen in love with Rachel by the end of the day. It was such a good day with amazing memories made. Thank you so much!!!!
