There is a note on the back wall -no refunds. This is here because once you have paid the extortionate entrance fee and realise this is a park for young children you immediately want to leave. In the park for less than 10 minutes and realised there is absolutely nothing of value unless you have young children. The owner doesn’t care. He’s got your money. A really sour end to a fabulous trip where we fell in love with Finland

We had a lovely time with the kids here, the snow was melting so some of the activities were closed but the staff were really understanding about our frustration with that and Rita in particular was so helpful and attentive, Rita went out of her way to find us inflatable tubes for sledging and we received complimentary hot chocolates for everyone all day. Plus the 3 x kids got to try the snow mobiles complimentary too. The staff here are so nice and accommodating. The buffet was fantastic too. Overall we had a great experience here. Lots to do.
Great value day out! Cross Country skiing, ice skating, sledging hill & sledge's, snow shoeing, feed the reindeer (free food) and €40 for a reindeer ride.
We had an amazing day at WinterPark. We booked the family package that gave us access to the park, buffet lunch and a reindeer sleigh ride. The reindeer ride was a little bit depressing.....the reindeer all looked miserable and they were all chained together in a line for the walk around so I wouldn't recommend that. The other activities were great though. Ice skating, snow shoeing, alpine skiing and a big sledding hill all free to use as much as you want. There were mini snowmobiles (at an extra cost) that the kids could drive themselves. We also tried the ice karting. This was a fun activity however we were on a temporary track which was a lot smaller than the main one so it got quite boring going round and round the same circle for 30mins. This was a shame as it wasn't highlighted that it was a temporary track when we booked so I would check this before booking and maybe wait to book on the day rather than in advance. The buffet lunch was fab, something for everyone and very tasty.
Our initial impressions of Lapland Winter Park were unfortunately quite poor, largely due to the arrival process. We used the complimentary shuttle service, which arrived at the same time as a number of private transfers. Reception staff were clearly overwhelmed and unable to process everyone quickly, leaving guests — including families with young children — standing outside in around -20°C temperatures while an icy gale was blowing for over half an hour. This was far from an ideal welcome. Thankfully, once we were finally inside, the experience improved hugely. Our children (aged 9 and 6) absolutely loved the range of activities on offer. Sledging, ice skating, snowmobiling, and playing ice hockey, as well as regular hockey and football in the snow, kept them entertained all day. Meeting the reindeer was also a really lovely experience and a memorable highlight for the whole family. We did try cross-country skiing, but this was poorly managed. There was a clear lack of available skis and no organised queuing system, which made the area feel chaotic and frustrating compared to the otherwise well-run activities. The standout highlight for the adults was definitely the buffet meal — it was delicious, varied, and exactly what was needed after hours in the cold. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by stunning winter scenery that really captures the magic of Lapland. We visited for the day before heading on to Levi for a ski holiday, and despite the difficult start, it proved to be a perfect introduction to our winter adventure.
We are a family group of 4 adults. After a wonderful time in Finland we decided to visit on our last day. Absolutely awful. Fine for little kids but the slide is for toddlers, the skating pond is a puddle, the winter walk is very subpar in a land full of beautiful forests. A definite no go, complete waste of money for teenagers/ adults. No refund as the CEO can’t guarantee you will enjoy their experience place when you pass through the doors so has a policy to not allow refunds which I think says it all! Wish I could give it minus stars for a truly awful visit.
We stayed at the park for the entire week in February, and I can honestly say that our experience exceeded all expectations. The chalet was beautiful, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed — a comfortable double bed, a sofa, a small kitchen, and a lovely bathroom. One of the most magical moments was being able to watch the aurora right from our bed! The buffet for breakfast and lunch was absolutely delicious, with a different selection of dishes available each day, which kept the meals varied and exciting. We also joined the 1-hour snowmobile safari and the husky sled ride — both experiences were incredible. The only downside was that they felt a bit too short because we enjoyed them so much and would have loved them to last longer. The staff, both at the activity center and at reception, were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We also really appreciated that the area pass was included in our stay, allowing us to feed the reindeer, use the ice rink, cross-country skis, and the toboggan hill whenever we wanted. Another lovely feature was the small kota huts, where we could warm up and grill marshmallows or sausages. The only minor remark would be that it can get a bit crowded around noon, but it becomes much more relaxed and enjoyable in the afternoon. Overall, it was a truly unforgettable stay.
Great day out, so much to do! In the most perfect setting, wasn’t too crowded due to time of year and free transfer bus was a bonus
We had a great time at Lapland Winter Park. It’s a well-organised and enjoyable spot, especially if you’d like a proper taste of Arctic fun without venturing too far from town. The snow activities were simple but genuinely entertaining, and the setting feels magical, particularly in the evening lights. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, making the whole experience smooth and relaxed. A lovely addition to any Lapland trip, whether with family or friends.
Lapland Winter Park is packed with lots of fun activities in a beauuutiful setting. Included in the price we had fun sledging, x country skiing, warming up in the kotas, ice-skating, feeding the reindeer, and generally enjoying the surroundings. We also paid extra for my daughter to go mii-snowmobiling. We had a FANTASTIC day!
Very disappointed, not as described. The park was very small and the activities were more for very young children not teenagers or adults. Not value for money at all.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing day here! We didn’t realise there was a free shuttle bus so got a taxi there but used the great service on the way back! We loved the toboggan and sauna and couldn’t believe it was all included in the price! The staff were so helpful. Skiing and ice skating was super fun and hard haha! We went up and down the hill in our sledge so many times and it was nice to see the reindeer too! Highly recommend for kids or without. We spent about 4 hours there and it was the perfect amount of time for us.
Absolutely beautiful place. We stayed here for three nights on a half board basis and loved every second. The staff were really helpful, dinner was delicious and the cabin was clean, cozy and had stunning views. There were plenty of activities for the children to do and they loved their time here. They enjoyed the sledging in particular. Would definitely recommend.
We had a great time. We enjoyed ice skating, seeing the reindeers, sledding. The huts to roast marshmallows was nice.
Superb day out! Booked in advance, and got a taxi which cost £55 from Rovaniemi. Excellent slope for sledging with sledges provided, we did ice skating, cross country skiing, used the various huts for toasting marshmellows and fed the reindeer. Also paid for snow go karting which was great fun, but a bit of a boneshaker, as it was very churned up, but still fun! Lunch was nice too, although getting a seat/table was a bit of a challenge!
Chalet stay review. Firstly this was our second time at the park after visiting when it first opened last year. We loved the park- the nature, activities and beauty. So we were so excited to return to stay in one of the luxury chalets. However, we felt it was very expensive for the service we had. We stayed on 30th and paid £1100 for one night. The lady checking us in( black African short hair) wasn’t very welcoming. The room wasn’t ready until 4:15. No one shows you to your chalet even tho case are taken. The key didn’t work we were freezing and luckily saw the maid who helped us. The room is beautiful and such a fantastic set up but we were welcomed with two dirty mugs and a stained bed sheet. We were keen to maximise the time so said we would let them know when we went to reception. We were also text at 8am via WhatsApp to say to be out of the room by 11. I didn’t appreciate the text - it was as if our time was rushed. When we told the same lady next morning our disappointment she said a very unsympathetic sorry and said write it on the website. All in all, a lovely park with some lovely younger staff especially the activities staff but the reception lady needs more service training. Also we had to check in with a bus load of park guests in a queue rather than a separate check in. I guess you expect a lot for thar price.
This was by far the best day of our holiday. The price was reasonable and you can use the bus to get there and back for free which we used both ways saving in Ubers. The last bus was super busy though but everyone managed to get on. We had to queue a little to get in but only because we arrived for opening at 11am off the courtesy bus. Once inside there’s plenty of fun for all kids. We fed the reindeer which is free. Used the ice rink, cross country ski, melted marshmallows over the fire pits and even paid for a reindeer ride which cost roughly £100 for two adult and one child. They have free sledges but we took our own with us. The restaurant was lovely, food and drink was a bit pricey but that’s just Finland prices. I paid 8€ for a coffee and a cake. All in all I would go back if we visited again.
We came here mid December (21st) as a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 children) we paid for the lunch buffet to be included. After spending the previous day at Santa Claus village discovering Lapland winter park was a breath of fresh Finnish air! This place is incredible, simple and just how a trip to Lapland should be. The sledge hill was a firm favourite across both adults and children and we went down it so many times, it’s fast and fun. My children did the mini snow mobiling which they loved and was similar price to competitors but they had the track to themselves. We also paid extra to go in a reindeer sleigh, we queued for about 10 mins before getting on the sleighs and got pulled through a short but beautiful track. Price wise it matched all other competitor so seemed like a no brainer and felt far less commercial with lots of very happy looking reindeer. We tried out ice skating which was fun and the cross country skiing which was way harder than it looked but great fun for all of us (we all fell over multiple times so be prepared for a bruised bottom) the buffet lunch was delicious and catered for the kids, as well as 2 vegetarian adults, juice tea and coffee were included. Every member of staff we encountered were so friendly and passionate about their job, we had many lovely conversations with staff which really made the experience. We got the free shuttle bus back to town centre, this was the only stressful part of the day as it was heaving! But free so cannot complain. We spent the entire day here and could’ve spent longer if our tired legs allowed it! It wasn’t heaving and we didn’t have to queue for anything, the kotas were perfect to stop for a warm up and toast marshmallows over the fire. The simplicity of this place is what made it so amazing, beautiful landscapes the right amount of activities and it just allowed the children to play in snow (some of which was knee deep on us adults!) easily the best part of our holiday and would return again and again if we could!
A great place for fun in the snow with your children. Sledges / rings provided for going down the main slope, kids loved it. Little wooden huts dotted about with log fires lit you could just go and sit in. Moss to feed the reindeers which the kids enjoyed doing. Restaurant is lovely, fire, lovely big windows looking out on the snow, good wines available and lovely food- staff really lovely too. Kids books etc & packs of cards available to use. Couldn’t do the ice skating as had rained the day before and warmed up a bit (was above freezing) so ice skating not on. Didn’t do the sauna world but that looked good. Kids loved making snowmen and playing in the snow. Full day of good fun, we definitely recommend. Staff in reception lovely too- and those keeping the fires lit around the site, all lovely staff.
Brilliant day out for the whole family! We had a fantastic day & did so much between the sledding, ice-skating etc. It's an action-packed day but also time for chilling out in the gorgeous kota huts too. We found it very good value for money. The staff were all so friendly and kind.
This place is only in its second season I visited december 1st and went back woth my children 3rd december. They loved the sledge hil land skating. They were lucky enough to do the snow mobile. The restaurant food was nice, it has options for cross county ski, ice karting, and raindeer walk, they are extra like the snow mobile but, we're here and wanted them to have fun. Tuuli was amazing with my children, she took extra care, so were the 2 guys on the snow mobile along with the women with glasses in the ice rink area. All the staff were great friendly and helpful a credit to winterland park. This is a must visit, yes it is expensive but everywhere in lapland is, save up for the extra bits to make the day special for the children. See you next year.
We visited today for the first day of winter 2025 and it was...EPIC! It definitely helped that it snowed all day to make it even more magical, but everything was great. The staff were friendly, the sled slope was hours of fun, lots of included activities, lunch pretty decent (recommend getting the lunch bundle) and lots of little heated huts around for when it gets colder. Take some bits to roast on the fires! Overall, great value for money, loads to do for the family all day (11-6 flew by) and even the free shuttle buses were warm and punctual. 100% recommend if you're heading to Rovaniemi!
We had an amazing time at Lapland Winter Park. We arrived at 11am and stayed the full day til 5pm. It was fantastic. The kids adored the big slide, feeding the reindeer, playing in the snow, ice skating and ice hockey, snow mobiles, cross country skiing and chilling for lunch in the kotas. It was magical. A special mention of Jere, one of the staff looking after the ice rink - he was brilliant with the kids, teaching them how to play ice hockey - thank you. A must to visit if you arr in Rovaniemi.
Brilliant day out with our 3 kids age 10, 8 and 4. Definitely the best thing we did in Rovaniemi. The park was lovely and quiet. We enjoyed all the activities. We were the last ones there at 5pm having arrived when it opened and we could have stayed longer. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t get chance to go to the cafe as we were too busy with all the activities but it looked very nice.
We loved our day at Lapland Winter Park. My 17 year old son especially enjoyed the Ice Karting. The staff are friendly and patient and do not rush you. They also don't 'over instruct' so after a quick briefing on the karting, skiing etc you're off on your own. We spent 4 hours there which was perfect. There are lots of little wooden huts with fires on so you can warm up easily. We also had fun sledging on the slope. We booked lunch - it was ok, a bit expensive. It would've ben better with a fish or vegetarian main option too. It's very magical here.
An absolutely great place ,a real winter wonderland! You can do a lot of fun activities, everything is well organized and top quality, staff really nice and helpful, sauna is a MUST. NOT Disneylandy like Santa Claus village and really authentic!
Lapland winter park was such a fantastic day out for kids and adults. The staff were amazing so friendly and nice. They played with the kids and encouraged them along. I have a kid with additional needs and the staff were amazing with him. They left him try everything and nothing was a rush or a big deal. We are so grateful. Thanks so much.
We booked Lapland Winter Park for our last day before heading home on an evening flight. A fantastic day. Magical location and scenery. Fun for all the family (2 adults and 2 children 8 & 14). We loved trying the cross country skiing and our 8 year old really enjoyed the mini snowmobiles. Staff were all very friendly, the kota huts were beautiful and well stocked with firewood, a staff member even came by while we were toasting our marshmallows to check on the fire and make sure there was enough wood etc. Great end to a wonderful trip.
Loved Lapland Winter Park, an action packed day and something for everyone. The kids loved the slide, mini snowmobiles, ice skating, feeding the reindeer and toasting marshmallows in the kotas. I loved the cross country skiing and walking around the park, it was so picturesque, so like Narnia. Would highly recommend Lapland Winter Park.
Went her on our last day in Rovaniemi and so glad we did. We are a family of 5. The place is magical and so peaceful. Our children had the best time trying out all the different activities and the staff are sooo friendly. Was our favourite excursions while in Lapland. Would highly recommend spending a day here!
Myself, husband, children (12,6,and 2), grandparents and friend all spent the day here and where very impressed from the minute we entered the park. Everything is beautiful, the views were/are stunning, the restaurant had a wide variety of different foods and refreshments. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And everything was clean. There’s so much to do and there was something for everyone to enjoy.we were here for around 4-5 hours but would have stayed longer. We were so happy to have our first day in Lapland here! Would absolutely recommend that you visit Lapland winter park! Amazing memories have been made for myself and family that we will never forget!! Thank you Lapland winter park!
Perfect end to our stay in Lapland. We chose Lapland Winter Park for our last full day of our 4 day break. We were travelling as 2 adults and 3 grandchildren 7tr, 7yr and 11 Yr. We all loved it, even driving up to the park it was magical and it was snowing which made it even more magical. We used the free shuttle bus, the driver was really helpful and friendly. The drive to the park was great and quick, being able to see the picturesque winter scenery on route was great. Arriving at the park our first impressions did not disapoint. The entrance / cafe was warm and welcoming and staff very polite and helpful. We loved every part of the park, especially the fact it is set in the forest, in the heart of nature, we tried everything and loved it all, it was really special that the grandchildren got their first opportunity to try snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing, and they loved playing in the snow and the big slide. The reindeer were friendly and we all loved feeding them the free moss, a pleasant change to not have to pay for it. The staff right across the park were extremely happy to help and so friendly. We didnt get chance to try the food but it looked amazing. Everything was a great hit for all of us and an absolutely perfect day to finish our holiday on. Picture perfect, I would 100% recommend a visit.
Awesome day out for my family with an 8 and 6 year old. The staff were excellent and friendly and really helped to give us a great day out. We tried everything apart from ice skating as the weather got very snowy in the afternoon. The skiing was fun around the resort. The mini snow mobile was loved by my son. I loved the ice carting. The snow shoeing was fun and challenging to do. The food at the restaurant was really good. All in all highly recommended location for a family wanting winter fun with a variety of winter activities. The team tried to provide the same things as they experienced in their childhood winters and it works well.
This place is over priced for what it offers. It's a great park for kids under 6yrs, but other than that, don't waste your time and money. The sledge track does not have enough inline to even reach the 200mtrs they claim to be the longest in Rovaniemi best you will get is 100mtrs. The sleds provided - many are cracked or damaged and un-useable. The reindeer were not interested in being fed, seems the just get overfed and are sick of taking more food The ice skating is a small patch of ice maybe no bigger than 15 or 20mtrs round, the surface is very carved up and barely able to skate The skiing is another piss poor excuse of an offering, being narrow tracks and limited incline. You end up shuffling along more than skiing. The highlights of ice carts and snow mobiles cost extra. Paying over 180€ for this is a complete waste of money. This place also seems like it's unfinished, and more works in progress. Much better things to do for that kind of coin. Rovaniemi also has many free sledging areas and big open fields. Save your money. Photos of ice rink and ski areas.
This place is new and only in operation for four short weeks. I went with my teenage daughter but this place was magical. The perfect place for little kids. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We did the sauna and cold plunge as well and the sauna attendant was so helpful and also provided the history of the finish sauna and folk lore. It was something out of a winter wonderland and the facilities were very clean. Don't waste your time at Santa Land when you can experience this huddle hem. There are also little cabins/huts with fires to keep you warm. There is a lodge that serves a buffet, sandwiches, drinks and also alcoholic beverages. My only suggestion is that maybe they expand it one day to offer snow mobile rides for adults or snow trekking tours. There is a bus that does pick up and drop off from ROVANIEMI town center and he was also such a kind man as well.
We booked our visit to Lapland Winter Park for Christmas Day (25th December), and it was hands down the best Christmas day we have ever had as a family. Our 7-year-old boy enjoyed every minute at the park. There were so many activities to do: we wandered through the forest, built a snowman, fed the reindeer, went ice skating and ice walking, and he even made new friends with other children there. He also had a blast sledging down the hill. The staff at Lapland Winter Park were incredibly impressive. The lad handing out the skates was great, making sure to prioritize the kids and keep everything running smoothly. The lady in the cafe was amazing too, taking the time to show our little boy how to dry our gloves and hats by the fire while she added wood. The old man who checked us in even came outside to show our little one which snow was best for making snowballs and set him a fun task to hit trees. We spent 4 hours at the park but could have easily stayed longer. If you're heading to Lapland and looking for a memorable day out, I definitely recommend visiting Lapland Winter Park.
Lapland Winter Park was amazing from the minute we arrived until leaving on the last shuttle bus (which is also free). We thought we would only spend a few hours there but spent the whole day! The staff were excellent especially Sónna who took great care of us and made a big fuss with our three kids, even watching them so we could jump in the ice bath and go in the sauna! There is so much to do (feed reindeer, ice skating, skiing, sleigh slide, kids snowmobiling, ice karting, sauna snd ice bath etc). The place is stunning and a must do! Its only opened so was not busy but expect that to change quickly!
We went here for the day on Saturday 14th December. We were a bit unsure as it was brand new this year but it did not disappoint. It was my daughters birthday when we were there and they made a big fuss of her in the restaurant which made her day. The food was superb as well. Plenty to do included in the price with extra activities to book. Wish we could have stayed later in the day but we had another booking elsewhere in the evening we had to get to. As its their first season the park was not too full but this time next year I expect it to be rammed. Thanks again, 10/10 best day we had in Lapland on our visit.
We visited for one day during a 5 day trip to Rovaniemi. Our day at Lapland Winter Park was the most enjoyable day of our trip. We received a warm welcome from the minute we arrived and all the staff were exceptional no matter what activities we did. Sónna took great care of us in the Restaurant and they have amazing food there. Even the bus driver back to the city took the time to ask how our day was and personally welcome us onboard. I especially loved the ice karting and our kids loved the mini snowmobiling. The place is stunning and it is a must for any family visiting Lapland... Food in the Restaurant was the best we tasted in Finland... Some place 👏
We visited here for the day, it was so much fun. The slide is the biggest attraction and they need more slide seats. It was in its first few days of opening therefore was really quiet. The staff were friendly, the food was good, could do with som more veggie options. Would come back here.
Sad to see that many people compliment this park because you can sled with reindeer and feed them. We went there precisely because the opinions on this park were very positive. When we arrived, we quickly noticed that the reindeer were being mistreated: they were each tied with a rope to a pole and had to wait for the customers to come for a sleigh ride. Animal welfare and respect were clearly not there. We were able to give them some food, they seemed hungry. It’s sad to see people still having fun being dragged 500m by exhausted reindeer. We were also disappointed to learn that we could not do ice skating, as the ice unfortunately did not allow it. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are very small, and there is only one toboggan run, also small. When we went to get our equipment for each activity, the staff did not even help us get what we needed or put the skis and snowshoes on. There were six kids twiddling their thumbs, so we had to go and ask them to help us. For €69, it’s still expensive for what it is, because for all other activities, you have to pay an extra. The restaurant in the park offers a menu at 32 € per person. So we went to see the buffet before paying: at the meal, there were only potatoes, pasta and meatballs and for dessert wafers. It's up to you to judge if it's worth the price. So we went to eat somewhere else. We strongly advise against this park: it was a waste of time.
We chose to visit this park to occupy half a free day in a group of four adults. We only used the activities included in the ticket such as cross-country skiing and skating. Cute kotas with a lit fire to warm up and toast marshmallows or sausages (purchased at the restaurant or there are those who brought from outside). Restaurant with buffet menu (about 30 euros) or a la carte. The staff was very friendly. Price a bit expensive for the offer.
Superb park to do with family. Winter activities are varied (tobogganing, ice skating, cross-country skiing). The setting is beautiful. It only takes half a day to do everything outside the paid activities next door.
A beautiful resort. Spacious and beautifully decorated rooms with spectacular views. Great sauna area with 8 different and 3 jacuzzis. Good breakfast. They have to improve some things. One day they “forgot” to make our room completely, when we arrived it was too late and they could not fix it, this for the price you pay, it is not the best. On the other hand the price of the restaurant is exorbitant, two burgers two soft drinks and a dessert more than 90€ But the environment does everything, and the experience is very good
Great experiences with many activities available on site. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming.
Small friendly but very expensive park for not many activities Everything motorized pays off We went around quickly Pros: few people
