"Icebreaker" Ice Fishing Vip Tour & Gourmet Lunch In Glass Igloo*

My friend and I did the icebreaker tour on February 14th 2025 and it was an amazing and unforgettable experience. From the professionalism of our guide Andrew to the beauty of the outdoors to the delicious food- everything was 5 out of 5 stars. I cannot recommend this tour enough. I thought we were going to do ice fishing but it turned into an unforgettable experience with riding motorcycles to getting a buggy tour of the outdoors. The most unique part was the three course lunch in a glass igloo which was beautiful. The attention to detail of everything is just beyond amazing. The service of Andrew and his brother was top notch. The food was delicious plus they even gave us chocolates to celebrate Valentine’s Day and wine! We also got a cute moose plush toy to take home. Seriously I cannot rave about this tour enough. If you are in Lapland you have to do this. It’s a private experience that is truly unique and unforgettable! My friend and I were wowed by the experience and can’t stop talking about it. This was the best part of our entire trip.

This was an INCREDIBLE experience!! We traveled from far North Lapland where we did a ton of traditional experiences and saw a lot of Northern Lights. We traveled to Rovaniemi to see Santa Village. We had time on our last day and booked an experience with The Guide Father. BY FAR the best experience of our entire trip!! We were picked up by Andrew who was so kind and knowledgeable. We learned so much about Finland and nature, even after being on other tours all week! He then got us fitted in gear and took us ice fishing while teaching us about the sport and giving us tips along the way. After we took a scooter and buggy ride. Then, we were whisked away into a GORGEOUS glass igloo for an outstanding 5 star three course lunch. This experience was luxurious beyond our expectations. The attention to detail was exquisite from the food, the decor, the overall aesthetic. It’s unfortunate that we did this on our last day as we would have come back every day! Could not recommend more!!!

Kate was absolutely incredible! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Finland! She was funny, knowledgeable, and so much fun to be around!

Unfortunately the weather was too cold for ice fishing but they were able to offer my husband and I another alternative and we had so much fun. The lunch in the glass igloo was amazing and the scenery was breathtaking. Every staff member was incredibly helpful and I have already recommended this company to other travellers. I would definitely experience this tour again

Very good experience. Love the food. I love their appetizers with the salmon and the ice cream even on a cold day is a must try.

This was the most incredible day for our family! Kate was unbelievable and so kind and friendly with our children. She went above and beyond to make our day and we couldn’t fault how amazing she was! She showed such kindness and professionalism. Vadeem was excellent at making the operation run smoothly. We had an incredible ice fishing experience, the most delicious meal and such a fun ride of the ice mobiles. If you are in Lapland, you MUST come and do this activity! It was truely magical for all ages. Thank you so much Kate for looking after our family, being so lovely and creating a day we will never forget!

The trip is just a short drive from Rovaniemi and is a beautiful location between two lakes. The ice fishing was great fun, as were the rides around the lake. It's well set up with lots of extra warm gear if you need it, including for the kids. Lunch was a treat and beautifully presented in an igloo by the lake. Thoroughly recommended for friends, couples or families.

Kate - you are amazing!! We were so lucky to have 2 days with you. The dinner and lunch in the igloo were amazing. Kate is so knowledgeable and gave our girls many insights on Lapland, reindeer, ice fishing, snowmobiling and local traditions and history. She made our experiences unforgettable down to a surprise reindeer gift for my daughter and local cup for our our family. My daughter caught her first fish while ice fishing 🎣🎄and Kate kept us comfortable and warm throughout.

Prompt pick up, Alex was very informative and looked after us. It was very cold and the experience was unique scenery was amazing. The lunch was excellent traditional finish cuisine. Highly recommend the private tour.

Highly recommend - my wife, children and I (17yo, 15yo & 9yo) spent most of the day with Andrei and Kat. Their set up, location and facilities are superb! Very friendly and welcoming offering us all top of the range clothing, coats, boots and socks on arrival. Very cool. Starting our day with ice fishing which was fun, sadly we didn’t catch anything but the experience was awesome. For lunch, we made our way to one of their outdoor pods with a roaring fire and our starters waiting for us, a mouthwatering plate of local foods with a homemade berry juice. Amazing. For mains, an out of this world homemade salmon and potato broth - outstanding and a perfect dish to warm us after the fishing. Dessert lived up to the same standard, a choice of ice cream with homemade blueberry pie. Delicious. After food, we got the chance to play with their many toys! We chose snow scooters and an ATV - my son is mad about boys toys so was in his element! Andrei was knowledgable and super helpful ensuring we all had a safe and fun time. Following him and Kat through forest trials in their Defender to a huge snow covered bowl where we all had the best time, like something out of a James Bond film! Epic. It was without doubt a truly memorable day. Both Andrei and Kat helping take photos and videos for us to capture our experiences I know we’ll be talking about for years to come! Maybe one day we’ll return, we’d love to try their summer activities! If we did, I am in no doubt Andrei, Kat and the team will go above and beyond to provide another, outstanding traditional experience! Thank you from all of us, The Smiths

The guide was on time to pick us up in a comfy van and drove us safely to the location for our activities. We started with ice fishing and cut through the ice ourselves with an auger before fishing. There was a surprise while fishing that I won’t ruin, but it’s very cool. Next we had an incredible meal in the most beautiful glass igloo that was warmed by a cozy fire. The view was breathtaking and the meal was excellent. After the meal, we went for a scooter ride though the finish forest on incredibly fun 4 wheeled snow scooters. The adventure was great because the gear they gave us kept us comfy and warm. The highlight was seeing reindeer and a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend this adventure!

We had a great time and the setting was absolutely beautiful. From start to finish, the service was impeccable and the staff incredibly friendly and fun. The lunch in the glass igloo was wonderful and warm. And one of the biggest highlights was the scooter ride through the finish forest in the warmest gear anyone could ever imagine. Seeing reindeer was also a big plus. Highly recommend this experience!

We had such an amazing experience with our guides. We were collected from our hotel and it turned out it was a private tour with just myself and my partner. We got taught how to ice fish, then enjoyed and fantastic homemade local three course lunch in a glass igloo, followed by an e snow scooter ride. It was such good value for money and the staff that ran it would so friendly and made sure we had the best time. Would highly recommend and a big highlight of our trip!

It was a unique and wonderful experience! Andrew, our guide was just perfect! He was absolutely great in explaining everything and answering questions. We had a great time ice fishing, a very nice lunch in a wonderful atmosphere. We could enjoy sometime motor biking on the frozen lake and finally some game around a little fire :-) it was just perfect. This is a not-to-be-missed experience. From start to finish we were treated like family and VIPs. Nothing was too much and we were treated so well. Alex was the main guide for this private family experience. We chose our own pickup time and went at 10:30. After arriving 25 or so minutes later, we were all kitted out with appropriate outerwear and enjoyed a hot drink. We then tried our hand at snomobiling on the frozen lake followed by ice fishing. It was so much fun! It was great for our 5 and 9 year old daughters as we were all encouraged to have a go at things and then go and warm up inside the former hunting lodge or have a hot drink. After taking part in the activities we had a three course lunch inside a glass igloo with it's own fire. The food was freshly made and delicious! We were never felt like anything was too much or rushed throughout the experience. Even at the end I made a casual comment how I'd love to buy a photo of the gorgeous scenery so I could never forget. Well, Alex went inside, brought out his tripod with professional camera and took some photos of us and the scenery which they will be emailing along shortly. I honestly cannot provide any ounce of constructive feedback as this was the excursion of a lifetime. Give this company a chance!

Since 3 years my son (6 years) had a dream to visit Santa Claus, to believe if really exist. We had excellent guide Igor who pampered us from arrival until departure, and i can highly recoomend services of his travel agency in Rovaniemi.

We had a great time, from the moment he went for us to the moment he returned us. The treatment, respect, education and service were excellent. The delicious food. I'm actually completely satisfied with this tour.

We loved it, it is a unique and different experience, different activities are done, they are super special, we come very happy from this tour and recommend it. They bring you and take you to your hotel. Do not miss living this experience. The service is very good. Perfect food with beautiful details. The stunning forest. The tour is highly recommended! Beautiful scenery, very fine food and lots of information about Finland. Our guide Vadim picked us up on time at the hotel. On site we got warm overalls, shoes and gloves. Ice fishing was a lot of fun, we even caught a 15cm fish (of course, released afterwards). Afterwards we had a very delicious 3-course meal in the glass of igloo. After the meal, we took a snowmobile through the thick snowy forests for about 40 minutes. Our guide Vadim was very nice, helpful and humorous. We would definitely book this tour again.

It was a very special experience, a complete tour with fishing, snowmobiling and lunch on an igloo, the guys were very welcoming and kind, an unforgettable day!!

Everything is amazing, ice fishing activities and snow scooters exploring amazing landscapes in the forest highly recommended. The personalized and pleasant attention of the staff is first class. Especially Vadim's attention was phenomenal!

A very beautiful place with very nice people, the landscapes are amazing and look very professional, the ATV tour very good and even featured heated trailer to take the elderly and children!

It was simply magnificent from the hotel pick up to the location. The food in a glass igloo was exquisite. Ice fishing was a unique experience even more when we live in a tropical country where we could never have experienced such a thing. The unforgettable run as the road looked like a Christmas postcard. The guide Kat was extremely helpful and always looked forward to us feeling comfortable. I recommend them I think it is one of the most complete tours they could have!

Wonderful experience, with a nice atmosphere and beautiful landscapes. My boyfriend and I were very happy to be there and live something different from what we have in our country, the really delicious food. All very clean and high quality. We saw reindeer and fished on the lake, the bikes were great fun and we enjoyed it a lot. I highly recommend this private tour. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also did us the favor of taking photos and videos at all times.

Super moment !!! Nous étions 6 dont 2 enfant et nous avons adoré cette activité , on est venu nous chercher à notre hébergement et nous sommes allé dans un endroit magnifique, un beau lac avec quelques chalet , nous avons péché sur la glace ensuite on nous a servi un repas délicieux dans un igloo de verre avec un beau feu au milieu ensuite on a fait du scooter des neiges. Parfait je recommande cette activité !!!
