Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna Rovaniemi

Centrally located. Walking distance to shops and food outlets. Walkable around the river, across the bridges. Variety of restaurants around the hotel.

We stayed at the Sokos Hotel for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is nice, the dinner was good and enjoyable, and there are separate saunas for men and women. The main drawback was the room size. The rooms felt somewhat cramped, with very limited floor space — there was no convenient place to put our suitcases without them getting in the way. The shower setup was simple and functional, rather than a modern rain-style design. The location was very good.

Great location, lovely and helpful staff, clean rooms, 5-10 minutes walk to the center and the shopping area. Breakfast is delicious with good variety in the Fran’s and Cherie restaurant, which is also a nice bar.

Dear Sir or Madam, I hope this message finds you well. I am a guest who will be staying at your hotel this coming March, and I would like to kindly inquire about a small matter. I noticed from photos shared by guests on Google Maps that the room appears to have only one chair for seating. As there will be two of us staying in the room, may I kindly ask whether it would be possible to request an additional chair after we check in? Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
