It was sensible to book a trip but Not soo well communicated. Not impressed with tour guide as he wasn’t that great informative. He only stuck with few ppl and talk to them. He should have given us nice background of beautiful Amsterdam and other places we visited. £275 your bus really needs a good cleaning.
A wonderful overview of Rotterdam just a few minutes from central station. The main display covers Rotterdam and the surrounding area with miniatures of the major sights with Cas es, trucks, and trains. There are smaller models of a mountain scene and downstairs an England model. A wonderful 1-2 hour visit suitable for all ages.
Lovely place layout is amazing staff friendly. Had planned to only be hhrre till lunch time ended up staying till closing as grandson was having such a good time.
We absolutely adored this. We went in with low expectations - we just needed something out of the rain to entertain a five year old for an hour or so, but it is brilliant. We stayed for three hours! You get a tiny overview of the architecture of Holland (rural and urban) and the landmarks of Rotterdam. It just an absolute feast for the eyes, with visual jokes everywhere you look. There are buttons to press every few feet which trigger things to move or light up, which was a big hit with our son. Downstairs there is a room under construction featuring the UK. It is definitely not a precise replication but we loved spotting Stonehenge and the Forth bridge and so on.
We decided to visit Mini Rotterdam for our children, not quite sure what to expect (potentially an equivalent of a UK model village). We are so glad we did. A fantastic place, the detail is amazing and the best introduction to the history of Rotterdam and stories behind many of the buildings (most panels have English). The best thing is that every 15 or 20 minutes it goes dark and the mini city lights up, it has everything from fairgrounds, stadiums, festivals and all the Rotterdam iconic buildings. I felt this was a perfect introduction to Rotterdam.
Truly amazing. We’ve seen train scenes and layouts before, but this is EPIC! The shear scale of this place is mind-blowing and the attention to detail incredible. We noticed some fun things that showed the sense of humor of the builders. (Water-skiing cows, anyone?) This was a really fun experience.
This was a lovely few hours out. The admission price is very reasonable. It was really nice taking our time and enjoying all the little scenes and landscapes. A lot of time and effort has gone into making the models. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was fairly quiet. I especially enjoyed the stadium, windmill and the port models. We would return ☺️
Compared with Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg (which is amazing), it very much pales in comparison. However, taken on it's on merits, it's a nice activity.
Brilliant for families to see Rotterdam in minature. The Great Britain bit is not quite complete but still definitely worth a look.
Miniworld Rotterdam was terrific! The best parts were the Easter Eggs left by the builders for you to find and snicker. My favorite was the water skiing cow! The layout of the city was well done. They are also building areas of Britain and Scotland. I would definitely recommend this no matter your age!!
Had a brilliant time. Our 2 year old is obsessed with trains, so it was perfect for him. The interactive buttons which you can press as you go around are a nice touch. It was interesting to see the brittania section, which is still under construction, as that was you could get an appreciation for the skill and effort which goes into building the displays.
It looked nice and cool, and they made it beautifully when it's dark
The Netherlands and Rotterdam on the ground floor, Britannia in the basement! (and a bit of Normandy coast: The landing of the Princess Irene Brigade in Operation Overlord).
Very nice to have seen once. Only very expensive for something that you can comfortably get through in an hour and a half, and your own drink is not allowed. Together with my granddaughter with a drink and small souvenir almost € 35,- for barely 2 hours total. The toilet room (ladies) smelled bad, was not clean, and the waste bin for the towels overflowed. As far as I'm concerned, one-off.
For 2 adults and 1 child we lost €40,-- and that is absolutely not worth it. Far too expensive. I understand if you can use the Rotterdam pass for free, that t for max 1 hour is quite nice but that does not apply to this entrance fee. It's not that much fun, with all due respect.
Once inside, you notice the dedication these people have to their hobby. The room is full of miniatures about Rotterdam and the surrounding area. The cycle day and night is unique and pleasant to experience. Here and there you can even control certain things manually. After visiting the hall enjoyed a small snack and drink in the cafeteria. It was a quiet visit that I definitely recommend!
At Miniworld Rotterdam you will be amazed. In the largest space on the ground floor are mainly buildings and landscapes from Rotterdam and surroundings that have been recreated on a 1:87 scale. In many places you can move objects with the help of a push button. Everywhere there are signs in two languages explaining the various objects and extra facts aimed at children. Many trains run throughout the space, both goods and passengers. There is also a treasure hunt for the children. In the basement is a landscape under construction which is based on parts of Britain. It's already a great viewing game. That promises something for when it's all finished. It was very quiet the first hour after opening and we could see everything very well. You need about an hour and a half and the price is very acceptable, you get value for money. The staff are friendly and the coffee and cakes in the restaurant taste very good.
We didn't quite know what to expect from 'miniworld', but it really exceeded expectations. Parking at P2 is excellent, as the mentioned 200 meters will not make much difference. It is, in other words, a super large model with many well-known buildings from Rotterdam interspersed with lots of lights and transport (mainly trains). We thought and still think the entrance price (€ 14.70 and € 10.50) was too expensive and we think that at 50% of the current prices it will really get busy.
This was now the third time that I have visited miniworld. But every time you discover different things. In short, it is never boring. Highly recommended to visit with children from 2 years old.
