Great afternoon seeing Rotterdam from the water. Boat was modern and had everything you need, snacks, drinks etc. Would recommend.

This was a great harbor tour. I got to see a lot of Rotterdam from the water. Also, the tour guide was very informative and they spoke English and Dutch to accommodate everybody.
Lovely boat. Very comfortable with friendy staff. The tour was informative with narration in 3 languages (Dutch, German, English).
Nice scents cruise up and down the Maas. Very peaceful and relaxing. Good for all weather as there's inside and outside seating, all with great visibility.
It was a really informative tour and enjoyed it very much. I had never been to Rotterdam before and it gave me a great idea of what it was like. Enjoyed seeing some cargo ships and inlet harbours like the Eem. Next time I would like to go further to see the really big ships.
Cool trip of the harbor in Dutch English French German, very informative and clear to understand. I had an overcast day and still it was wonderful. I would highly recommend this.
We really enjoyed the history and the relaxed comfortable accommodation on Spido. It was a nice addition to our sightseeing tour.
This is a must do in Rotterdam. The Harbor tour provides insight on the busy port of Rotterdam. It’s very relaxing and provides a wonderful time along beautiful Rotterdam.
Great staff, very nice clean boat with many different viewing platforms! Unique route brought us into the cargo port area as well. Narration in Dutch, German, English and French. Clean bathrooms and a nicely stocked snack/bar.
I did the tour that takes 2 and half hours and goes quite a long way down river. Excellent views of docks ships and industrial sites. Comfortable seating inside or out. Good adequate catering for food and drinks. Good value
The first 15 minutes and the last were the most interesting. But beyond that, you are mostly in the industrial shipping area. You will pass a couple of windmills. Nice ride if you want to get off your feet for an hour or so.
The recorded 'guide' was hard to follow, far too many languages and the whole tour was quite a big disappointment. the only positive was that we had respite from the sun, coz they have a big indoor area to sit.
This tour was very boring. You go through the harbor, and that's it. You can not hear anything. They were telling you information, but the sound system was not good. Also, everyone on the boat was talking. You can order food and drinks if you want. Would not do this tour again.
Full tour of harbor especially the amazing commercial port
Comfortable craft with indoor and outdoor seating. Refreshments available. Trip covered several miles downstream of the starting point.
Trip was excellent. Staff excellent and understanding
Viator booking barcode caused issues and wouldn’t be accepted by the spiro staff at boarding. Book direct with spiro
My partner works in logistics and he found this tour fascinating. It was a very blustery day in Rotterdam so we chose to sit inside the boat. We didn't buy any food or drink but please note it is available to buy (at extra cost). The tour lasted 1 hour 15 minutes and for €17.50 pp was very good value for money. Amongst other things we sailed past an enormous orange juice facility, Euromast, the New York Hotel and SS Rotterdam.
The boat is big and very comfortable. Outside was nice with fresh and cool breeze, while inside was comfortable. It was 75 minutes with few languages explanation about the Harbour. It is a must do when you are in Rotterdam. We booked the tickets online and got 20% off when using code Nazomer20 (valid till 31 October 2025).
Not to be missed. Have done this twice now and it never ceases to fascinate me. You haven't seen Rotterdam unless you take the tour and see the business end of the river. Boat is spacious and modern and the commentary is in English as well as Dutch and very interesting. 12.50 euros for over 65s is an excellent bargain.
We walked down to do remastered but couldn't get a ticket as it was busy and saw the boat sitting on the harbour, so we enquired and jumped on the next charter, which was in 15 mins, not really knowing what it was. It was reasonably priced and took 75 minutes. The boats are nice and the weather was good, so we sat on the top of the boat. A friendly lady came and took orders for ice creams and drinks, and delivered them to the seat. It made me laugh as I received a pint of Heineken in a glass pint glass which would never happen in the UK as we've become so woke and fixated on health and safety, so that was Refreshing! The cruise took us under the Erasmus bridge and passed the Euromast, New York Hotel, and out into some of the docks. The tour has lots of different language announcements, that go off from time to time to explain what you are seeing. It was nice and relaxing, and if the weather is shining it's a nice way of seeing the skyline.
This is a great chance to see up close Europe's largest working port. The audio guide presented some really information including pointing out an enormous orange juice facility, which I found really cool. We passed by some huge freight ships and had a chance to take some great pictures. The boat was comfortable and offered great views from its top deck - which on a beautiful sunny day like we had made the whole tour more enjoyable. There's food and drink on offer, I'm not sure you'd have enough time for food but I definitely appreciated a nice cold drink in the sun. We definitely recommend the tour, if you are in Rotterdam you shouldn't miss this!
A nice tour in Europe’s largest port. The boat is confortable, you can either stay inside or up outside. A good experience.
We decided to take this tour during a day trip to Rotterdam and it didn't disappoint. Board near the park on a sturdy old vessel to enjoy an educational tour of the harbour. It was a hot day, boat served cold beer. What more do you need 😊
We did this tour as a couple. This is equally a good tour for families. Very educational and 4 main European languages were spoken about the history and sights of the harbour. There’s a beverage and treat cafe below. We enjoyed it.
Being a long time fan of shipping containers & cranes I could barely contain my excitement on boarding. I was moist eyed, not due to the eye watering bar prices, no, it was the sheer array of beautiful coloured steel shipping containers on offer, and as if that wasn't enough, there were cranes as far as they could see. As you can imagine, I nearly jizzed my pants when we saw the combination of a crane lifting a shipping container. So, lovers of cranes and shipping containers, don't delay, get yourself booked on this once in a lifetime harbour cruise.
I can recommend the extended harbour tour which brings you to one of the biggest harbours in the world. This, in combination with a view of Rotterdam from the river gives you a comprehensive idea of the city. The tour lasts 2,5 hours, but time goes by rather quickly as there is so much to see. Explanation is given in Dutch, English, German and French, inside and on the deck of the boat. Food and drinks are available on board.
Nice, relaxing and very interesting tour of Rotterdam harbour, the boat was nice and clean, I was sitting at the top deck and the sound of the audio tour was clear the whole time.
This was a great tour, easy to access, staff were great, facilities were clean and great. Tour explanation in English so easy to understand. Brilliant short tour
Instructive harbour tour with Spido, perfectly organized. There are special things that need to be seen with your own eyes to understand what Rotterdam means in the life of this country.
If you love a industrial setting and boats this is a MUST do! I recommend the upper deck for the best view. You see a beautiful part of the harbour and also a very old part. Too bad you see a small part of the very big harbour. But tou can also book the extend tour by Spido for a larger route. We really enjoyed ourselfs and took a lot of beautiful pictures
The right think to do in Rotterdam. nice boat and good views. The Tour could have gone a bit further out, but we were satisfied
It was a tour from 2.5h for a very good price. Gives you a great view from the water. On board the service is ok, no food only some snacks (chips, cookies, candy) and drinks. Parking is close by. So for a good price something unique.
Great trip. I live in Rotterdam. But still love this trip. Personell was very friendly. The buildings, the Harbor, the ss Rotterdam. Love the city.
We did the 75 minutes harbor tour on a Sunday afternoon. The boat was nice and there was enough space to keep 1.5 meters from other people. The tour itself was disappointing though. It basically is 30 minutes to go and 30 minutes back the same way with a few ‘stops’ on the water. However, there is not much to see and, therefore, there is not much explanation either. Of course, we were able to take some good pictures of the Euromast and the Rotterdam bridges, but there was no real harbor to see. For that, a much longer tour is probably needed. We would not recommend the tour.
While the staff was friendly and the boat nice, we felt the 2.5 hour tour was disappointing because of the poor sound system and the general bad quality of the commentary. We learned very little about the workings of the harbour, and mainly received automated messages that sounded like commercials for companies that we saw. The one time we felt we received interesting information was when the crew commented on the giant cruise ship we sailed past. Overall a missed opportunity.
Nice tour trough the harbour, not to short just good 75 min. And some explanation about the history.
Fabulous tour in the Port of Rotterdam. Quite impressive to see a glimpse of the harbor. Interesting information (in different languages) was given during the tour. Great experience for is but also for the kids!
Have a wonderful cruise in a bad weather. It was raining during later afternoon and during winter so the sky getting dark very fast. The spido cruise itself is really comfortable and modern. This was one of the best cruise riding experience I have. There are counter selling beer and snack that you can grab other just sitting on the cruise and enjoy the beautiful scenery around Rotterdam harbor. It will be perfect if it was a sunny day but the overall still very good experience.
Went on the Abel Tasman on the first trip of the day 11.00. Ticket was just over €14. The boat was clean and more importantly the viewing windows. I was lucky as the sky was blue and sunshine. I really enjoyed the tour around the harbour which took about an hour and fifteen minutes. My only observation is that it was very difficult to hear the commentary. This was in three languages which is fine but the high background noise of the passengers made it only possible to hear snapshots. I’m not suggesting that people stop talking but perhaps the boat owners can put the commentary on their App? After all there is Wi-fi on board and people would have a choice of wearing ear buds or ear phones. Just a thought and I did enjoy the trip.
I have been using Spido over a large number of years doing various tours. We came especially to do a harbour tour for my 50th birthday. We went on the Abel Tasman ship and was greeted by friendly staff the ship was lovely and clean and I am a wheelchair user and was excellent for my needs, a big thanks to one of the staff who helped me use the lift so I can use the toilet. The tour itself was fantastic with English commentary, the bar area was well stocked and helpful staff Without a doubt we will be using Spido again in our next coming visits to Rotterdam
Nothing much can be said as the tour is what you expect. Great sunny day made the tour joyful. Recommend if you want to get to know the city from water travelling perspective.
There isn’t much to see in Rotterdam so to make the most of your trip, why not take this cruise? The trip highlights many buildings in Rotterdam’s vast, industrial skyline reflecting its famous reputation as being a major port city. There is an onboard cafe with refreshing drinks so you can use this trip as a place to unwind and relax.
A fascinating way to see the city and working harbour, with a commentary in Dutch, English, German and French. The harbour tour shows you the working port, sights from the water and gets up close to some massive ships, cranes and rigs as well as giving an interesting history of the city of Rotterdam. Arrive in good time to get a good seat on the boat and wrap up warm!
It was okay, but you had to listen to three language versions in a row for each new piece of explanatory text.
We were with a group of 16 people enjoyed the harbour tour. Two minor issue the sound system is not so well and we could not sit as they don't take up reservation for our size of group
Great, informative tour of the Port of Rotterdam. Great views of the city, and the views of the working port are worth it alone. Well worth the price.
We took this Harbour tour, around 70 minutes - ship not too crowded, comfortable and served hot drinks and snacks (for a price). This tour gives a nice perspective of the Harbour and the pertinent facts of the Harbour. We later took a Water Taxi and essentially saw the same thing without the narration.
Interesting tour ...a must see when in rotterdam. It is well organized and plenty of available space. Good for families.
When visiting Rotterdam for the first time it is a must to go on board of the Spido and do a tour of the Rotterdam port. The view is beautiful, you can really get a good glimpse of the city and the story told my the captain is good. Tickets can be bought online or there at the dock. Close by you have parking facilities.
