Itinerary
Our tours starts & ends at the marvellous Market Hall, located close to station Blaak. Visit the hall before or after the tour for gourmet food and great souvenirs, before you head into the surrounding city centre.
The 15th century basilica is one of the few remains from before the WWII city bombing and remains an important landmark for the city's history, today it serves as a great place for events.
On our walk we will take you along some of the city's most awe-inspiring sites, such as the peculiar Cube Houses and the important port of Leuvehaven. Step away from the tired tourist track and into the streets of Rotterdam, discovering quirky street art, hidden gems and imposing skyscrapers.
Although Rotterdam lacks a true city centre, we will show you some of the streets where the best restaurants and cafes are located. Let us take you onto the main street to show you where the best wine bars, brown cafes & exotic eateries are located.
The Cube Houses are amongst the most peculiar buildings that can be found in the city. The houses offer a great photo opportunity and you can even visit one of the houses (admission €3) as the tour ends nearby.

Great guide who knew his stuff and showed us all the hidden gems of Rotterdam. He also gave recommendations on where to eat, what museums were available.and even what candy to try (Dutch licorice).
Really great tour - showcasing the main sights. Knowledgeable and highly engaging guide. Definitely recommend!
A very good tour, with details and history of the city. Some fun facts - and a tour guide who delivered it with humour. As well has finding good places for drinks.
We had an amazing time taking in Rotterdam with Hans! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, and really did his best to pass on historical and cultural facts about the city. Our two and a half hour tour gave us a good amount of time to take everything in. Please remember to bring cash as the tour guides are paid in tips. Would recommend this tour to others, and you’re lucky if you get Hans!
Wim was our guide. He is a local and a good communicator who loves his city. He shared a lot of history with us and stories of the various specific buildings highlighted as well as the city's development from WWII forwards. He is enthusiastic and has a sense of humor too. Enjoyable 2 ours. Recommend him as a guide.
Mark was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our walk which was entertaining, informative, well paced and covered a good amount of Rotterdam. Mark's English was excellent. He made everyone feel welcome and included and answered all questions. Absolutely recommend him, first rate.
Good walk about the city with a knowledgeable local. We enjoyed hearing the stories about the different neighbourhoods and got some nice recommendations for dinner.
Very comprehensive and interesting tour, however, I found that some of the sights could have been left out which would have given us more time to photograph and which would have made the walk less frenetic. Nevertheless, the guide gave us an excellent overview of the centre of Rotterdam.
An excellent introduction to the city - our tour was led by Bram who is obviously passionate about his home city. We revisited the cube houses and the market the following day. (Would rather Trip advisor did not default to dollars when trying to book in English).
Excellent tour of Rotterdam with Mark, who covered loads of really interesting history, and gave a fascinating insight into buildings old and new. Great tips for other places to go in Rotterdam too.
Paul was very good and took us for 2 hrs around the city on a very windy day . Very informative .
Great walking tour by Mark, a really nice group of people to walk around different monuments/architect and learn the basics of Rotterdam.
Thoroughly enjoyable Walking Tour. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. A great way to get a flavour of the city.
Paul kept talks light and entertaining. His love for the city is apparent. It was a very fast and informative 2 hours. Don’t forget to tip these guides. Worth every penny.
Paul was a great guide, informative but not an overwhelming amount of information. Paul kept us moving around the city and pointing out highlights and recommendations. Highly recommend
Peter was a knowledgeable, funny local tour guide who shared personal stories while sharing history of Rotterdam. Well-paced for a group of 10. Tips-based so bring cash. Recommend!
This was an informative tour with lots of walking. Our tour guide Syrina was very knowledgeable. Major central Rotterdam sights covered as a walk-by. We had a small group of six, which was nice. The only issue with our tour was that it was very hot and the last two walking legs of the tour were very long. We had trouble keeping up with the pace and were totally knackered by tour end.
Nice walking tour in the pouring rain. Guide was very knowledgeable, pick up was convenient and the price was right. Would do it again.
The guide was Hans who was at the meeting place early to welcome us. He had a group of about 15 and set off at a fairly fast walking pace. He appeared to have little concern about the groups safety. At one stage we were left on one side of a busy road with the pedestrian lights against us whilst he continued to take the group on ahead. We ditched out well before the end of the tour . Somewhat disappointing.
Mark was a fantastic guide. He showed us a good variety of landmarks and filled us in on the history.
I wasn’t able to contact the local guide despite being in location an hour before the meeting time. Did not receive any response on chat as well
Very interesting walk around Rotterdam. Learnt a lot at a nice pace. The tour guide was very pleasant and informative.
Very interesting and informative. I would not recommend this to anyone with mobility issues as it is quite fast-paced.
Paul was great and very knowledgeable about Rotterdam. The tour was a great length of time and very interesting.
Wim was a very good guide, very good introduction to Rotterdam its history and its architecture. Pace was good.
Peter did a good job. Interesting stories about the history of the city and told in a humurous way.
Our guide Vim had a great knowledge of history and modern Rotterdam. Particularly good on the city's new architecture.
Excellent tour of Rotterdam Triangle city
The tour was interesting and informative and our guide, Paul , was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it.
Enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable guide, who kept the large group entertained with anecdotes and showed us hidden gems in Rotterdam.
Taking a walking tour like this is the perfect way to learn about the city. It sure made us see it differently. Peter our guide was awesome - perfect mix of history and humour.
It was a good overview of what Rotterdam has to offer. I enjoyed the historical background of the various architecture. Good recommendations of what to explore further.
Paul was a brilliant guide and very engaging. We enjoyed an informative tour of Rotterdam city centre.
Had a great two hour walking tour with Pieter. He was very knowledgable and very entertaining with a keen sense of humour. He explained the history of Rotterdam as well as the old and new areas of the city. Interesting places and sights.
Our walking tour guide Sarith was very informative & friendly & told us/ showed us different parts of Rotterdam & its history over a 2 hour timeframe. It was a nice warmer sunny day too. Enjoyed the experience!
Our tour guide Alasdair was very knowledgeable and brought the history of Bruges to life with his great story telling abilities, sense of humour and passion for the city. He was very generous with his time and the tour never felt rushed. He had some great recommendations for eating out - we enjoyed some delicious food at the Potato Bar! A brilliant way to spend a few hours getting to know Bruges. We really appreciated Alasdair’s unique style. Communication prior to the tour was also excellent. Highly recommended 😊
We took the tour on a cool and breezy Tuesday but Danielle was bright and very chirpy throughout the tour. Her knowledge of and enthusiasm for the city were inspiring and she encouraged questions and interaction. I’d highly recommend spending a couple of hours on one of these tours for anyone wanting an overview of the city on a quick visit, and an ideal way to find out more on arrival for a longer visit.
We had a great tour with Bram today, very informative and fun Would recommend as a way to see Rotterdam
It was a great overview of the center of Rotterdam and the history. The tour took us to all of the highlights.
Great local guide very knowledgeable with great passion for his city. Was a reasonable pace not to slow, saw a lot in 2 hours.
Our visit was very nice. We shopped at shoppingcenter Alexandrium and in the city also. We stayed at the james what was very nice. We parked our car at parking lijnbaan, what was nearby an when you reservate it before it is payable. We also visited the city: the old harbor, the Erasmus Bridge, we went inside a cube house, and the market hall. Highly recommended.
Wim was a great guide giving us interesting insights into the city's history & what it is like to live there. Saw a variety of architectural buildings - not just the obvious ones in guidebook.
The tour was fun and insightful. Daniella was an excellent tour guide. It was a perfect way to start our half-day trip to Rotterdam. Without this tour, we wouldn't have learnt half as much as we did about the history and local culture. Would recommend!
Had a great 2 hour walking tour with Paul, he was excellent and would highly recommend. We booked in the UK prior to arrival and all arrangements clicked into place.
Starts and ends in same place. Quite a bit of walking between stops. Good to get a feel of area and then decide where to go.
The guide was nice, but talked too fast and spit out facts quickly and moved on. The guide walked at a very fast pace and it was hard to keep up. It was not enjoyable as I would have expected. He didn’t do well at keeping the group together in between stops.
A very informative tour. Helped my understanding of the city with useful recommendations of places to visit.
There were just six of us, two English, 2 German, 1 Brazilian & 1 Sri Lankan. Age range 20's to 70's. Our tour guide was Niels, what a brilliant tour, a bit of history, a bit of culture and many laughs. Two hours and we walked right round Rotterdam and found out so many new things and saw some lovely and weird sights. Thanks Niels👌👍🏻
An informative walking tour, not too serious but contains all the things you need to know. Our guide was friendly and helpful.
