underwhelming very little of the old masters, the modern artists who put this together distorted and perverted the old masters images similar to what a 3 year old with scissors and silly putty might do. If you really like modern art, this is exhibit is for you.

Truly immersive experience. 1 hour long. Can sit on the floor if needed. Only warning is I thought I had booked for the Dutch masters but on arrival i was told that i had been booked for the japan show instead. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall fantastic experience.
Wonderful experience, a cool and modern way to witness art, as well as very immersive :)
A beautiful and surprisingly immersive experience in Rotterdam. You really step into another world, with the large projections, music and colours making a lasting impression. Perfect to visit with friends when you want something different from a traditional museum.
Beware - this experience is very poor. They have scheduled blocks of time to move people thru multiple rooms, but they allow way too many people in each room. And it's like a McDonald's Playland for kids...there is just no way to actually experience the art, which is what the experience is meant to do. And they have no seating available like other immersive art experiences have. The last room we stood on the cement floor for over 25 minutes, hoping it would finish soon....I don't recommend this location. Go to Frameless in London, just as it opens, for a much better experience if you are an art lover. Also look for times when it's only adults allowed.
Started out great, very interesting and immersive. However there’s only 4 room and you get stuck in them, they lock you in for up to 20+ minutes at a time . It gets boring. You’re in a big group of about 35/40 people so your veiw is often blocked and there are not enough seats so end up with achy legs and back. The last and first rooms are cool as there’s a lot going on but the middle two were rather boring. I think the concept is great, but it isn’t very well executed
You will be taken through 4 rooms with different displays. The first and the last room are interesting, the two in between are not. You will enter with a group so the lack of silence in the rooms will also obstruct your viewing. I recommend you buy tickets upfront because it's fairly crowded. Lockers aren't free either.
Terrible experience overall, the art? Images? Are of terrible quality and look AI generated. Kind of looks like something you’d hallucinate on a bad acid trip. Would not recommend.
To consider this relates to art in any shape or form is ridiculous. A mish mash of ideas completely formless. It is completely inapproprite to allow young children to see adult content as it is portrayed here.
You have to book your ticket for this. Group size was about 50, which although they put us through in 3 groups we were hot on each others' heels so it felt quite crowded at times and difficult to see the exhibition. The first 'room' was interactive and really good, the second room was quite disturbing and not suitable for children in my opinion, with artwork based on Hieronymus Bosch - I found this out later as the tour guide/crew person I asked didn't know - and the third and final room was far too long and not enough chairs so lots of us sat on the floor. My top tip for the organisers is to do smaller groups and try to level out the timings. The foyer outside of the exhibit is fun though; they provide stencils and pencils which you can upload to an nteractive wall.
We had a great time at REMASTERED. The audio visual rooms presented a fun and unique take on the art of the Dutch masters. We enjoyed the interactive elements in the first and last rooms, as well as in the foyer at the beginning, we also loved the final show - the Mondrian section was our favourite. There was a lovely staff member who offered to take our photo during the Van Gogh section, we didn't get his name but he was working on the Monday 12th May, 2PM exhibition - thank you for taking our picture! We recommend REMASTERED for a unique and engaging art exhibition, an experience that differs from your usual art museum.
that was a nice experience, and i encourage anyone to try it. Dutch people are so kind too, that's a real pleasure to spend some time there.
It was very nice, unfortunately we were tired from being up 24 hrs. And it was a lot of standing but it was well done.
Attempted to visit with a small baby who would’ve slept the majority of the experience but were not allowed in due to it being bright and loud, it does state this on the website but I missed this. Requested a refund for tickets as we weren’t allowed in and the response I got from staff was unprofessional- ‘Annoying that you were not aware that children under the age of 6 are not allowed at Remastered.’ Made to feel stupid for a genuine mistake. Maybe if this attraction was made more accessible (quieter/some baby friendly rooms) then it would attract more people. Only saving grace were the polite and friendly staff on the ticket entrance.
Do speak to the room hosts to give you insight to the digital images. Very thought provoking and interesting experience. Recognised many of the paintings.
Unless you are very familiar famous artists and their work, otherwise I suggest you watch two movies with snacks by spending same amount of money.
Very different take on art, audiovisual techniques were amazing.Didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the presentation.
The concept is nice but there are way too many people let in per slot. You can barely walk around and can’t see the walls as folks just stand there and wait to let through. I would not recommend. They really need to half the number of guests
Hard to know what exactly to describe this experience but it was not what I was expecting. You visit four rooms and it lasts just under an hour. The first room with the water and fish is initially fun but it starts to get boring fast. You spend about 30 mins in last room and between the flashing strobe lights and techno music it feels more like a disco / rave at times. At €25 a ticket (for adult) it is certainly not worth it.
Wow. This was incredible. From the outset the friendly staff and then an hour of immersive art. Incredible. But also powerful with a lot of thoughtfulness put into the art and the messaging. Tip. Use your phone the experience pops out unbelievably when recorded
Some of the effects in the last room were interesting and so was the beginning because of our anticipation, but it got boring very quickly. Overall , it was an underwhelming experience and I wouldn’t recommend it.
great exprience, it was an unique show with diffrent room and i feel its just hard to explian in a review. they have done a great job in all their rooms
Wow what an experience. This is amazing great way to get into and see some artwork. A brilliant interactive experience for all the family
Art and technology come together for an interactive experience. I have enjoyed it a lot. Good attraction to go with kids as well.
Was a very cool experience! Truly a unique and fun thing to do when in Rotterdam. We arrived a bit later but were still allowed in. The staff was very kind as well.
The first few rooms were good however the final room made us all feel really sick and poorly due to the intensity of it. I feel the last room could have been done with splitting into two parts as it was too much. Overpriced for what it was.
A nice way to spend an hour in Rotterdam. A little bit of an escape too! Good for all ages, in groups or alone.
Really good and a different tourist activity. Only an hour long but worth it. Very interactive and my kids 9 and 12 really enjoyed it too
I personally think if there is one thing you should do in Rotterdam is Remastered. We thought it was fantastic It was a wonderful and different way to enjoy art. You are in a small group and it takes an hour as you move through different rooms. I won't say what they are as it would actually spoil it for you. Excellent audio and visual, I have a hearing implant and it wasn't too loud I didn't have to adjust it at all, I just needed to put my hand over it on the metal walkway you'll understand when you see it.. Overall I would highly recommend this different way of looking at art.. Be a child again and colour in a spaceship or helicopter and put it on the wall. Great helpful staff
the effects of the show. quite childish but interesting technology. would recommend to families with children 9-15
It was fun but definitely overpriced. There were too many people and too little things to do to actually warrant the price. It doesnt do all the „shows“ that are promised on social media so i have to say it was underwhelming.
During March 2023 we visited "Remastered" Audiovisual Experience in Rotterdam. The show reviewed human development over the years in an interesting way. The staff was very nice, and the coffee station and the display document and the drawing station also helped to pass the time. In terms of disadvantages, we didn't find a parking place nearby, so we had to walk in the cold until we got there. In winter it is less pleasant, but at other times it can be a nice experience, which allows you to observe the city from the bridge.
I wanted to offer my family (2 children 9 and 13 years and grandparents) something extraordinary. The result: absolutely disappointing to annoying. We almost escaped from the location. The beginning was ok and the end too, but the hall feeling, the visibility of the beamers and the sound did not let you dive 100% into the visuals. All the advertising around this exhibition and the perfect corporate design is loud, perfect and promising. The actual experience is weak and really disturbing in parts. The creative minds behind the content could have wowed us, but disturbing, sometimes brutal and tasteless content and not at all appropriate music (aside from the Mondrian set) failed to convey the old masters in a contemporary way. A feeling of too expensive theme park remains. Animation is an art, digital worlds go better over high res screens and sound over headphones. Any expo is more worthwhile than this tourist trap. Too bad. Everything looks great on the videos. The truth is more raw and imperfect. A visit to the old masters in the museum is more worthwhile. Sorry Team Remastered. Mission not accomplished.
Very boring. Poor attempts to impress the imagination of visitors with the help of ridiculous creations of artificial intelligence. If it was an attempt to repeat the Fabrique de Lumiere, it failed. I do not recommend. The price is exceeded.
We weren’t quite sure what this was. Turned out it’s a few rooms with projectors that display various things. Fish that react to touch, creepy 3D random stuff, and a room where Dutch masters Brueghel, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh and Mondriaan are brought to live with computer graphics. We only really liked two things: moving through the Vermeer doll house and the psychedelic Mondriaan graphics. Apart from that it’s all very random, creepy, uncanny and not very tasteful. I’ll go to a proper museum next time. We still enjoyed it somewhat, but €26 per person is a bit steep. €15 would’ve been ok.
It was an unique experience. The projections on the screen were beautiful and modern. I liked that they used historical paintings but made it modern. The only thing I did not like was that it has a maximum of 1 hour and there were a lot of people. A maximum of people in the room was in my opinion better. Or making two rooms so that you can split the people was also better.
Highly enjoyable immersive experience, the combination of music and projection is brilliant, a romp through the Dutch masters in a way that is clever and engaging.
Fun experience if you want to experience something different than a usual art gallery. If your a real art connoisseur then I can see why it might not be for you. Overall well put together. Seeing your drawing on the screen at the start was fun and nothing I’ve seen before.
Technically this is done wonderfully creative. But I found that the digital artists unfortunately used their creativity in a negative way. The multiple works on Bosch mimics came across as demonic, dark and negative to me. This evoked a strong emotion in me that made that I could not enjoy the rest of the show. I will not recommend this to anyone.
This really a must see in my opinion. Very impressive. The digital version of some dutch masters, like Van Gogh, Rembrandt and more. Very surprising too.
Awful, wasted my money. Definitely stay away from this place. Guide you in a room for 8 minutes watching weird uninteresting special effects
Loved the experience. The techno go the Mondrian was excellent could not keep my feet from moving! It’s is quite pricey for quite a brief experience but to me was worth the money for the all round AV experience.
It was an immersive experience as advertised but I left slightly disappointed, when I compare this to the Van Gogh experience in York. For one, it felt busy and overcrowded which spoilt it for me. Secondly, some of the staff weren't very helpful or friendly and thirdly, I felt it was massively overpriced for what it was worth.
After we heard a lot about Remastered and we wanted to see it for ourselves. It is very cool, but not everything was as special as we expected. Especially the last room was impressive, the rest was okay.
For an hour I was enchanted, a beautiful experience. I missed the "wow" factor at the end when I compare it to Duchmasters. ..further friendly staff and affordable. With parking it's cheap near Mierer, maybe the municipality should come up with an arrangement for families coming from outside Rotterdam. Thanks and enjoy it!
Waste of your money. The previous show was really cool, but with this new one, they put little effort into it.
The Spirit Japan show was beautiful. But the 3 spaces before that last 20 minutes are more filling and very stimulating than them being a nice experience.
We visited the performance Spirit of Japan and we found it wonderful. We brought our five-year-old daughter along and she especially liked the final show. She also thought the interactive wall where she could bring a rocket she had colored herself to life was cool.
What a show! Remastered is a really cool and unique experience. I had never seen anything like it and was really surprised by the combination of image, music, and the different spaces. Very cool done and fun for both young and old. The location is super beautiful, the staff is friendly and everything is well organized. If you are in Rotterdam and want to do something special, this is a real recommendation!
Much more is expected because of the high price. 4 rooms, where a lot of time is spent before you move on to the next room. In my opinion not worth a dime. By the way, very nice staff and nice local snacks you can buy.
