I visit this hotel in Rotterdam at least once or twice a month, but I have never encountered such a bad experience as I did this time. There were no slippers in the room, the sheets were dirty, and the towels and bathroom were in poor condition—I certainly wouldn't have expected this from this hotel. Even though I had paid the parking fee, the automatic barrier at the entrance didn't open for 20 minutes, so I had to go down to the reception. Unlike previous visits—when staff would immediately address any room issues or even change the room—this time, none of the employees were friendly or helpful; they simply said there was nothing they could do and didn't even offer an apology. So, one needs to be careful when visiting this hotel. 14 09 2026 date There isn't even water in the rooms, and there are no refrigerators; they just assign rooms however they please and tell you that Booking.com is your point of contact. The staff working during this period—both day and night—were not friendly at all.

For a 4* hotel and a Deluxe room i was disappointed. The entrance is nice and reception staff very friendly and helpful. Parking is reasonably priced for hotel guests. The room was large and spacious but the bed was badly made with a sheet that didn't fit so it was constantly shifting in the night. The wall had been cleaned but left large marks and drips on it. Tv was not a smart tv, so basic and small for the space. There was a fridge, kettle and coffee machine which wete both still half filled with water. Strange foam mattress on the bed, that wasn't very comfy but manageable. Breakfast was a big disappointment, staff saying it is sunday so we only clean tables if it is asked, food choices ok but not big selection. Juice very watered down and coffee not nice. All in all ok but disappointed for 4*. Dead plant boxes on the terrace and a dirty room service tray outside our door that was there when we arrived and still there when we left the next day. This dirty full bin right outside as we were leaving is also not a good look.
Location is only 4 stars, not the fault of the hotel, just not close to the city centre where we were expecting, but if close to Rotterdam airport is what you need, it would be 5 stars. The rooms were comfy and served their purpose. They were very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable! Service: Lianne at the front desk was fabulous and very kind. She was very helpful and I would give her more than 5 stars if I could! Petra who was doing the breakfast bar ( which was more than adequate, fully stocked and delicious) was also great and kind and welcoming. I would not hesitate to stay again if I needed to be in the area. Thank you, ladies!
Location is okay and airport pickup is convenient. Rooms were good enough, clean. Staff in the restaurant were quite rude, so that could be improved. Lamp in my room was also broken and there was also no sound insulation, so I could hear other guests 'activities' very loudly.
They offer waffles for reviews, but not hospitality [except for Richard] I stayed at Amrâth Hotel Rotterdam Airport recently. The hotel actively encourages Google reviews with candy and waffles at the front desk, but unfortunately doesn’t put the same effort into making sure guests actually have a good experience. The hotel used to be a Best Western, which I originally thought I was booking. I’m honestly glad Best Western removed their name, because the service here does not meet that standard. That said, I don’t regret staying — the property itself was ideal for what I needed. It was extremely clean, very quiet (you could whisper in the lobby and hear everything), and there were barely any guests. From a facilities standpoint, it was ideal. The issues were entirely with staff and pricing. My first morning I woke up very dehydrated and went to the front desk to ask for water, as my room was only a few doors away. The two Dutch ladies working the weekend early morning shift were cold and unaccommodating and attempted to charge me €5.50 for a single bottle of water — about $9 Canadian. That’s the price of a meal, not a few sips of water. Room service is also overpriced, with an additional €7.50 service charge just to bring food to your door. Housekeeping was rushed and unfriendly. One cleaner knocked on my door at 10:50am, claimed it was already 11am, and pressured me to leave immediately. When I asked about late checkout she flatly refused. When I called the front desk, I finally spoke with the only genuinely kind and professional person I encountered there — Richard. He explained the hotel is very strict with checkout times, initially quoted €12.50 per extra hour, but when I said I only needed a bit more time he kindly offered extra minutes so I could finish packing. He was apologetic and truly helpful. After checkout I asked Richard if I could quickly use a mirror and outlet in a public restroom to do my hair. He even walked with me to try to help by asking housekeeping if I could briefly use the room while it was being cleaned, but the cleaner again refused in a rushed and unfriendly manner. Overall, the property itself is great — clean, quiet, and convenient. But most of the staff lack basic customer service and hospitality skills, and the pricing for simple things feels excessive. Richard was the one bright spot and genuinely deserves recognition. Without him, I would not consider returning.
