Great show very informative , lunch was good , the weather wasn’t fantastic but didn’t spoil our lunch time show .

It was located in a residential area and seemed a little light on show or events. Was a glorified buffet lunch.

Mk excellent evening- we weren’t sure and wasn’t inexpensive but worth every penny! Show was great and singing very good 👍 🥳 Māori talks and games information fun Evening meal tasty and varied. Plenty of food for the 6 of us on our table, a couple from Brazilian and another from Denmark who were good company 😁 I would recommend to anyone

Interesting experience & fantastic food!

We now understand why this is the top-rated experience of this kind in Rotorua. We had the morning experience including lunch buffet. We couldn't have asked for a better and more satisfying time - the staff and performers were all top notch. We could really tell they care about conveying their culture and pride in it to others. The buffet lunch was great. Even had time for Q&A with our host after lunch.

The locale is beautiful, and the entertainment is interesting. We had to sit at the very back, but we could still hear and see the dancers. The dinner was very good and plentiful! We enjoyed the main leader and his sense of humor. So glad we decided to come here! It was a good experience to have in New Zealand.

This was so informative about NZ culture and the visit to the village was excellent the food was so good and the people are so friendly thoroughly enjoyable

This is a “must experience” experience! I didn’t know what to expect going into it, but it was phenomenal! A fun and captivating history lesson with live visual aide! Every part of it was worth each and every penny!

Really good cultural experience. Learned a lot about Māori culture through performances, explanations and q&a. Staff were all excellent and very friendly.

Loved the background history. Also felt very moved by how the Māori are acknowledging the past but moving forward in a positive way. One of the best experiences on our visit to New Zealand

Horrible experience. I usually avoid at all cost this type of tourist catcher... So I am rather ashamed of having spent my time and money in this place. You are parked at 200 people (20 tables of 10 people) in a large shed. For 1 hour or more, a person tells you about Maori culture. She speaks at full speed, with her very strong kiwi accent, without the slightest effort to make herself understood by the probably 90% foreign audience. Then you are led to the Maori "village" reconstituted in a tiny wood and fake Maori warriors pass in front of you on the river in a boat. Then you attend a reconstruction of a Maori ceremony in a sort of semi-open air theater, with small fires here and there that sting your eyes terribly. (Apart from the eye-sting, this is still the best part, actually, because the Maori leader of the play at least speaks to you intelligently and is more careful at being understood). Then you go back to lunch in the big shed for a "traditional" meal. The meal is really bad. The next day we did the Whakarewarewa geotrail, and the atmosphere of the village seemed much more authentic to us.

Group size was a bit larger then expected but overall was a good experience. A bit cramped for the tour portion. Food was excellent

This was a very informative and entertaining tour. The host and performers were so talented, Lunch was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend.

It was okay. Learned about some of their traditions but feel they did not share enough details. Some of the group members were just going through the motions and really not connecting with the essence of their dances. Some members did do a very good job though. Food should have been labeled so we knew what we were eating and how it connected to their culture.

It was really interesting to learn about the Maori culture. The people were so nice. The food was great. The show was entertaining and enlightening.

This was a great experience. Our host was professional and informative. All of our questions were answered. The performance was outstanding. The tour was very interesting ( even in the rain) and the buffet was yummy.

The whole experience was about educating people on how the Maori people came to settle in New Zealand. Full of culture, song, dance, a haka and a hungi. The experience was interactive in parts, had some fun moments and very enjoyable.

Had an amazing few hours here, the guide was so good matter of fact all the staff were outstanding. If you get a chance to visit make sure you do.

I was a little sceptical as I had heard more about other Maori experiences in the area, but boy was I wrong. A wonderful experience and insight into Māori culture, all guides were super knowledgeable and approachable, we were able to see a beautiful blue sacred spring and witness several cultural dances, songs and acts, before having a huge buffet meal, a big feed with loads left over. All round a great experience, thankyou!

Pack a lot of information and shows into 2 hours. Very nice show. Great food. Nice introduction to the Maori culture!

The guides and performers were very informative and entertaining. It was amazing how they fit the little village into such a tiny property. The food was also delicious.

The cultural show was very educational, the performance included information and explanation on the dances and songs, rituals, etc. It was our favorite part of the experience. The buffet lunch was plenty but quality can be better. Food was quite bland and didn’t taste like it had much spice but I guess this was to cater to all food preferences. Would be good to have more options or sauces/spices for those who would like to season their food more.

The team were friendly, funny, informative and organised. It was well catered food wise and it was clear that they were prepared for all weather events for the activity to continue. Worthwhile!

Nice performance, lunch was pretty good. For the 11am timeslot, it was very warm and hard to see the dance in the current location.

This was a great introduction to the Maori people. The vibe was very welcoming, and I appreciated their openness to our questions about the culture. All the activities listed were fun to watch and experience. Their singing was beautiful, and it was very cool to see some examples of how they would use their different weapons. Also learning more about their different facial markings and what they represent, their history, and how they go about making peace with outsiders was really intresting. You don't often get to learn about others cultures in such a safe open way. This was a very cool experience, and I definitely would recommend!

Very interesting to hear explanations of the culture and beliefs of the Mitai Maori Village. Great tour and show. We also had a wonderful buffet, the food was excellent! Well worth it to take this tour.

We had an amazing time learning about the history and culture surrounding the village and the sacred spring. The demonstrations and performances were incredible to watch, the food was also very tasty. Truly an unforgettable experience.

This is a wonderful and informative experience. So nice to understand more of the Maori Culture and enjoy at same time. The walk around was lovely, watching the Waka come thru was stunning. Then a beautiful show of singing, and explanations of customs which made it great. A very moving experience. Then back to our table for the Hangi, our lunch. It is so very delicious. You won't regret coming to this Enjoyable show. Thanks heaps.
