Our instructor was amazing and this was a wonderful experience. We did the solo buggy drive and saw some amazing views. The clay shooting was also great and we would definitely come back to do some more shooting. Thank you again for the friendly staff and especially for our great instructor and guide.

This was great fun. Two person buggies you drive yourself with a guide in a separate vehicle. Thoroughly rutted and potholed route to amp up the fun. We laughed and screamed throughout. Great fun!

Quick and easy way to see the forests and lake of Rotorua whilst also getting in a bit of thrill seeking. A good time was had.

Our guide Eze was great. Enthusiastic, informative and just outright fun. He took some special pictures with special effects using our cameras that turned out great. After the drive through the hills and then through the rainforest we got to shoot skeet, and again Eze and his partner were extremely helpful and fun in helping us with the skeet shooting. I highly recommend this experience if you visit Rotorua!!!

Our driver was Isaac he was excellent driver. He helped us with our photo, we felt safe. He was knowledgeable with the history. Dameeko (hope I have spelt it right) was so helpful with our booking and very friendly. I would recommend this ride to anyone. The one thing I would recommend is to make a video of the ride I would have brought one on the day. 😀

A Big thank you to Josh who made the experience amazing and unforgetable memory. He was funny and very knowledgeable and safe throughout our experience on each stop explaining the importance of the forrest. The best view to see Rotorua and surround mountains.

This is the BEST way to see Lake Rotorua. Jump in a buggy with your guide, drive through some lovely scenery (and working farm paddocks) while getting a fun & mild 4WD experience.

Amazing day. Great and super friendly staff. Would suggest for anyone in Rotorua and looking for some adventures. We participated in the 4x4 buggy and the clay shooting. Loads of fun many jokes had with staff.

The staff were great value, scenic buggy trip was great, but the clay bird shooting was the winner of the day! We will be back again soon!

Must do while in Rotorua. excellent service excellence for history of the land scary actually the journey one word my son summed up this activity “GANGSTA” we did the 1 hour and we are so glad we didn’t do the 30min. well worth the price would do this again the memories we have created is priceless. thank you ☺️

Fun, personalized, and relaxed. Zack (guide) made several stops along the way to allow us the chance to get out and take pictures of the landscape and swap drivers. Wished we had spent more time in the rainforest as this was the best part for us.

Fun whānau day! The kids loved the steep muddy bits the best. Pity we couldn’t go through the native bush because it was too muddy.

Our guides Sean and Ihaia were absolutely brilliant. Full of great humour and brilliant driving skills to get us through many muddy spots. We all had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend this tour

I would highly recommend Adventure Playground Rotorua to anyone visiting the area. It's a well-run and thrilling park with plenty of attractions that will keep you entertained for hours, and the staff are some of the nicest people you'll meet. There's really something for everyone here, and I think it would make a great destination for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a day of adventure and excitement. Don't miss out on this one!

Great fun! Exhilerating! I had white knuckles with the daughter driving hill side. Squealed over the pump track and was in awe at the beautiful forrestry and views! I would highly recommend. I got talked into it... but would do it again! Kelly the guide was a sport, and good photographer! Worth the money ($150 per driver)👌

This is a fun way to see the landscape outside of Rotorua! The track takes you up into the hills above the city, and then into a rainforesty part for a bit. The views were beautiful, the buggies were pretty easy and fun to drive, and our guide (Mac?) was super nice. You get a little dusty but that's part of the fun!

A highly recommended must-do in Rotorua. Adventure Playground is just what the name promises: 750 acres containing multiple 4WD tracks, horse trekking, clay bird shooting, plus TANKS. A very informative and super-fun ride! The staff and owners are very passionate about the land as well as their business, and make every effort to ensure you have a fantastic adventure. We had a blast in the 4WD buggy tour driven by a friendly, knowledgeable, expert driver. Can't wait to go back and ride the new 2WD electric bikes up the mountain and through the forest! Thanks, Craig, we'll be back!!

This was such a cool experience, would definitely recommend to everyone visiting Rotorua, sean and steve were our groups guided tour drivers on the buggys and they made our experience so special made sure to check on us throughout the ride to make sure we felt safe/comfy, loads of knowledge about the land/forest, they both had a great sense of humour so we also had some mean laughs, spectacular views just an all round great tour! We then did the clay shooting with bella and sean , they both made us feel comfortable and safe being around guns, clear and detailed instructions and the help they gave while we were shooting was amazing like im sure by the end of it we were professional clay shooters 😉😎😂 amazing team , we will definitely be back! Customer service goes a long way and we were all just in awe of how cool these guys+bella were , amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

7 of us did a group booking here, visiting from auckland. We started off the buggy tour with sean and steve, such an amazing experience! They were the best hosts and compliment this tour very well with their great yarns and jokes lol We ended off with clay shooting and though some of us were abit nervous the staff were AMAZING, we had sean and bella and they really made the experience much better! Overall loved this adventure but the staff are much better!!!! Boss needs to applaud them for their great work😃😃😃

Absolutely fantastic experience, friendly experienced guides and knowledgeable about the bush. Great views out over the lake and the bush was beautiful.

It was a damp, but warm morning, which helped keep the dust down as we drove up through farmland and NZ native bush. We were 2 couples, plus a single and 2 guides. The couples each had a buggy, the single their own too, with plenty of opportunities to swap drives for the couples. The guides drives their own buggies at front & rear. First there was a short familiarization drive around a track for each potential driver to learn the buggy. They are simple to drive if you can drive an automatic car. Then off up the track. We stopped at points of interest for commentary and photos on a drive that felt safe while providing a suitably off road experience. Some of the buggies were 4 seaters so that children could ride with parents (so long as they meet the minimum size /age requirement)

Even with the rain and fog, we had such a great experience. Our guides were so friendly and knowledgeable, and made our tour very enjoyable!

My partner and I had a really fun and memorable experience on the 4x4 buggies and the clay pigeon shooting. If you're into these sorts of things, I definitely recommend this place.

What a great day! We are a family of 5 (kids aged 8, 11 and 13) so couldn’t do the self drive, but this was even better. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and extremely patient with the continuous questioning of our 8 year old. The weather was overcast and drizzly, which was perfect for this trip. The track was nice and muddy with lots of dips, puddles, mud, slipping, and sliding. It was tons of fun for the adults and kids. One of our sons rated it 11/10, and another one wanted to go again. Awesome!

I did this yesterday with my 5 year old. It was absolutely amazing. Zac our driver was so lovely and kind with my very active and excited little girl. He also explained the history of the area and tracks. It was simply amazing. Thank you guys so much. We also did the pony ride and that was equally amazing, everything was explained to my daughter to make her feel at ease and confident on the horse.

Fun ride through area around close to Rotorua. We went through areas with cattle and into the forest. Also stopped at various points to look at the views including a great view of Lake Rotorua. Esther our guide was very friendly and informative. It was a highlight of our tour talking to her.

Not quite what I expected, but fun nonetheless, bouncing around the dusty tracks. Magnificent view of Lake Rotorua from the hill. The native forest was beautiful. Good information from our driver, Esther.

Lots of fun. Our driver (and guide) was great and really added to the experience. The trail itself was great starting in farmland then going into the Bush. Great scenery. Highly recommended!

We did the 4x4 tour with Maud. It was fun and the track kept it exciting all the way around. My 7 year old rode up front with Maud and talked her ear off the whole way around because he was having such a great time.

The Buggy adventure was awesome!! An hour went to quick, the views were breathtaking and our host Esther was awesome. The course for someone in experienced would be tricky so glad we didnt go with the self drive option. We Definitely would be back again this time with the kids. Worth the money.

We had an amazing time on this tour. This was hands down one of our favorite activities during our 2 week vacation in New Zealand. It was just the 2 of us with Esther, our guide, which made it really enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable and a great driver, and we had a blast with her on the tour. She also took some really great photos for us! The views were amazing, the information was so interesting, and we definitely recommend this tour to everyone heading through Rotorua.

we booked the 4WD buggy adventure on the 14th June 2019, we are group of 14 people . the leader guide was Ihaia , the other guides were Hone and Tony. It was super fun and enjoyable , Ihaia as the leader guide was very knowledgeable. He told us a lot of story about Rotorua and Maori people culture and tradition. The guides were also very professional to drive the Buggy.
